The Democratic Republic of Delitai is a titanic, efficient nation, ruled by Ben West with an even hand, and remarkable for its free-roaming dinosaurs, flagrant waste-dumping, and soft-spoken computers. The compassionate, cheerful population of 10.213 billion Delitaians have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.

The enormous, corrupt government juggles the competing demands of Administration, Education, and Law & Order. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Medan. The average income tax rate is 96.0%.

The frighteningly efficient Delitaian economy, worth a remarkable 1,452 trillion Deli Golds a year, is driven entirely by a combination of government and state-owned industry, with private enterprise illegal. The industrial sector, which is quite specialized, is led by the Tourism industry, with major contributions from Information Technology and Arms Manufacturing. Average income is an impressive 142,267 Deli Golds, and distributed extremely evenly, with little difference between the richest and poorest citizens.

Maxtopian Grass flags adorn every college dorm room, sweat stains are proof of political acumen, every microwave and toaster is being disassembled and probed by inspectors, and people with dyslexia are told to tough through it. Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown, thanks to a very well-funded police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Delitai's national animal is the Phoenix Ascent, which is also the nation's favorite main course, and its national religion is Christianity.

Delitai is ranked 10,655^th in the world and 191^st in The North Pacific for Most Advanced Law Enforcement, scoring 9,810.45 on the Orwell Orderliness Index.
