The Autogestionist Associations of Suthanimark is a colossal, cultured nation, ruled by Das Netzwerk with a fair hand, and notable for its museums and concert halls, multi-spousal wedding ceremonies, and punitive income tax rates. The compassionate, democratic, cheerful population of 4.851 billion Suthanimarkeren are free to do what they want with their own bodies, and vote for whomever they like in elections; if they go into business, however, they are regulated to within an inch of their lives.

The large, liberal, socially-minded government juggles the competing demands of Education, Administration, and Industry. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Wollefurt. The average income tax rate is 95.5%.

The frighteningly efficient Suthanische economy, worth 808 trillion marks a year, is driven entirely by a combination of government and state-owned industry, with private enterprise illegal. The industrial sector, which is quite specialized, is led by the Information Technology industry, with major contributions from Tourism, Book Publishing, and Beef-Based Agriculture. Average income is an impressive 166,617 marks, and distributed extremely evenly, with practically no difference between the richest and poorest citizens.

Students memorise knock-knock jokes for their mandatory twice-a-term Comedy Examinations, citizens are exhausted from weekly general elections, Dàguó lanterns outnumber streetlights in major cities, and Wollefurt spends billions upgrading public transport. Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown. Suthanimark's national animal is the eagle, which soars majestically through the nation's famously clear skies, and its national religion is Postmodernism.

Suthanimark is ranked 239,392^nd in the world and 550^th in Europe for Largest Trout Fishing Sector, scoring -2.97 on the Nemo Depletion Efficiency Index.
