The United Sargassian Federation of TNP-ED is a mammoth, genial nation, ruled by Kithes with an even hand, and renowned for its barren, inhospitable landscape and irreverence towards religion. The compassionate, hard-working population of 6.003 billion Sargassians have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.

The relatively small government juggles the competing demands of Administration, Education, and Defense. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Kule. The average income tax rate is 14.1%.

The TNP-EDian economy, worth 335 trillion Sargassian Lire a year, is broadly diversified and led by the Information Technology industry, with major contributions from Soda Sales, Pizza Delivery, and Furniture Restoration. Average income is 55,940 Sargassian Lire, and evenly distributed, with the richest citizens earning only 4.1 times as much as the poorest.

School uniforms are compulsory, Rupert Bear is considered to be the most risqué TV programme in TNP-ED, the government has declined to declare any particular religion as its 'official' one, and mystics are claiming that a simultaneous rise in scepticism and education budgets is correlation rather than causation. Crime, especially youth-related, is moderate, with the police force struggling against a lack of funding and a high mortality rate. TNP-ED's national animal is the Gerbil, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation.

TNP-ED is ranked 130,230^th in the world and 2,211^th in The North Pacific for Largest Publishing Industry, scoring 2,412 on the Bella Potter Productivity e-Index.
