The Principality of Bucuria is a colossal, genial nation, notable for its barren, inhospitable landscape and irreverence towards religion. The compassionate population of 3.157 billion Bucurians have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.

The relatively small government prioritizes Education, with Law & Order, Welfare, and Administration also on the agenda, while Spirituality isn't funded at all. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Atemești. The average income tax rate is 18.4%, but much higher for the wealthy.

The Bucurian economy, worth 201 trillion Romanian Lei a year, is broadly diversified and led by the Information Technology industry, with major contributions from Book Publishing, Cheese Exports, and Automobile Manufacturing. State-owned companies are reasonably common. Average income is 63,716 Romanian Lei, and distributed extremely evenly, with little difference between the richest and poorest citizens.

Burial ceremonies have become as routinised as tax forms, scientists regularly clone human beings for research purposes, pulling weeds is seen as a threat to national security, and Bucuria has designated Atemești as its capital city. Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown, thanks to a capable police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Bucuria's national animal is the European Bison, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation.

Bucuria is ranked 266,474^th in the world and 1,723^rd in the South Pacific for Largest Black Market, with 109 billion Standard Monetary Units.
