Poison being a relative term.
Not talking lethality, like eating the wrong shrooms, but something characteristic enough to require a little extra care to avoid significant digestive discomfort like some store bought items.

Meanwhile, I don’t recommend making a lot of meals out of heavily printed upon paper stock like phone books and newspaper
I don't believe I've ever seen a definition of the term "edible" that only applies to raw food. There are many food that either need to be cooked first to be edible, or are hard for humans to digest when eaten raw.
