Id like to share my thoughts regarding the poll. One of my main regrets is studying the language of a small country that I have never been to. At the time, I did not have the financial means to travel there. The language is difficult, challenging, and not widely spoken. My goal was to somehow leave my homeland and move to that country to live and study there, specifically to study an ordinary practical profession, such as becoming a cook or a pastry chef. However, because of the difficult situation in my homeland, I was unable to enroll there. In the end, I wasted my time, money, and nerves for nothing: I have already forgotten the language and have not used it for several years.
My second regret is that I never learned English. I made many attempts, but all of them ended in nothing. Nowadays, we live in an era when it is possible not to learn a foreign language, especially if more than 10 million people speak your native language. However, this limits your horizons and your opportunities to communicate abroad. Even when you are in a country where people do not know your native language, you are forced to use "crutches" in the form of sign language and a translator.
I remember being in Thailand and meeting a girl there. She spoke English well, while I spoke it poorly. Our communication was limited by my broken English and basically came down to constantly using a translator, passing the same phone back and forth between us. This made even basic communication difficult. The language barrier greatly limited our communication at the time.
If you think about it, knowing English is necessary not only for communication but also for consuming content in a foreign language. Dozens and hundreds of good bloggers, journalists, and other content creators broaden your understanding of the world, preventing you from limiting yourself to materials only in your native language.
The deadline to create puppets was last night at major (about midnight EDT), so it's too late to create new puppets. Puppets need to have 10 million population in order to participate, so none created at this point will be ready at the start of N-Day. You can still refound puppets though if they have enough population.

The region's WFE after the raid said:
Ordinary slop, regionally contained and privately endured, we could have lived with; this was slop exported daily into NSGP by a resident who mistook their presence in the server as an invitation to every conversation, who posted how a smoke alarm chirps, at intervals and at nobody. We have therefore come for the slop at its source. The sloppers have been relieved of their duties, the slop itself has been decanted, and the region now enjoys new and markedly less sloppy management.
Starlight claims that the region members posted slop at NS General, along with multiple accusations of bad management and actions of high ranking officers. 
By the words of Moukden and Kirin, they didn't like the tone of one former member of Vristic: "I didn't like the tone that Cawn used to speak to me in NSGP."
This means that Starlight is sending a clear message to the regions considered problematic and sloppy: keep it down.
Further arguing discussion is happening on the NS Forums, more information might appear there.

I would agree that knowing English gives you an advantage in the world just because English is usually the language of the internet. I feel very fortunate that English is my native language, because I've heard how hard it is for people to learn it. If you want to learn English, I don't think it's too late...but I understand how hard it is to find the dedicated time. I've wanted to learn Korean for many years, but I know it's something I would need to study every day consistently for years before I was great at it, and the way my life has been makes that...difficult. I'm curious though, what was the small country that you wanted to live in?
I'm doing alright, though it's the morning here right now. I'm just trying to catch up on things at work and around the house, since I've had to be out of the house so much lately.
