One of the most frustrating things about Nationstates is the disbalance between gaining and losing certain values. Take civil rights as example. In the last few weeks I've working very hard to increase it only to have it increased by 0.4% per issue or something. But one wrong pick in one case, and BOOM! -4%! All hard work from the last few weeks destroyed!
And yes, I understand a bit of how it works the way it does, but still... It's very, very frustrating...

I totally hear you about this. It is frustrating. I am working hard to turn my nation into a democracy. I want to rid the label: Corrupt Dictatorship. But I won't give up. One day that label WILL change!

The new WA resolution is on the floor for a vote. United Federation of Central Nation votes FOR the resolution.

It takes forever yeah, I only just now got rid of human sacrifice after years

Statement of the United Federation of Central Nation on the Freedom of Religion Resolution

To the Nations of North America,

The United Federation of Central Nation respectfully addresses the nations of North America regarding the proposed World Assembly resolution concerning Freedom of Religion.

While we recognize the importance of religious freedom and respect for individuals of all faiths and beliefs, we firmly oppose the World Assembly imposing legislation of this nature upon sovereign nations. The World Assembly should not interfere with the internal legislative affairs of independent nations when those matters can be addressed through their own constitutional and democratic processes.

Every sovereign nation has the right to determine its own laws, policies, and protections according to the will of its people and the decisions of its legitimate legislative institutions. If a nation chooses to establish a Freedom of Religion law, that law should be debated, adopted, amended, or rejected by that nation's own legislative branch rather than dictated by an external international authority.

The United Federation of Central Nation believes that national sovereignty is a fundamental principle that the World Assembly must respect. Allowing the World Assembly to continually expand its authority into domestic legislation risks undermining the independence of member nations and the ability of their governments to govern according to their own constitutions, traditions, and democratic institutions.

We therefore believe that religious freedom is best protected through the sovereign legislative processes of individual nations rather than through unnecessary World Assembly interference.

For these reasons, the United Federation of Central Nation will vote AGAINST this resolution.

We strongly encourage all nations throughout North America to carefully consider the implications of this resolution and to likewise vote AGAINST it. By doing so, we affirm our commitment not only to religious freedom, but also to the equally important principle that sovereign nations have the right to govern themselves.

The United Federation of Central Nation stands with North America in defense of national sovereignty, democratic self-government, and the right of sovereign nations to determine their own laws.

Respectfully yours,

Matityahu Ben Zeev
President of the United Federation of Central Nation
Liutenant Governor of North America

The United Federation of Central Nation casts its vote FOR this World Assembly's General Assembly resolution: No Punishment Without Prior Law.

This proposal upholds fundamental principles of legal fairness and due process, specifically that laws must be publicly accessible and cannot be applied retroactively, without encroaching upon national sovereignty. Rather than dictating the content of domestic legal codes or establishing external oversight, the resolution respects member states' authority to define their own laws and administer justice through their own judicial systems. By establishing universal procedural standards that align with established international law, it strengthens the rule of law while fully preserving national independence.

Respectfully,

Matityahu Ben Zeev
President of the United Federation of Central Nation
Liutenant Governor of North America
