Why did The Hole To Hide In close its embassy?
That embassy had existed for 7 years and 342 days...
Hello! I periodically go through and evaluate embassies for activity. If a region isn't active, then I tend to close said embassy.
Controller of Planet XThe Planet X is no longer a world in the conventional sense. It is a containment site.
The devastation wrought by King Ghidorah did not merely collapse governments or ecosystems; it rendered the planet structurally uninhabitable. Surface civilization was erased in a matter of weeks, leaving behind only a handful of hardened subterranean installations—facilities originally designed for research, resource extraction, and long-term habitation under extreme conditions. These installations now represent the totality of known surviving infrastructure.
Among them is a cloning facility of uncertain origin and incomplete records. Its databanks are damaged, its automated systems degraded by centuries of neglect, and its purpose only partially understood. We do not know how many viable clones remain. We do not know whether they are copies of scientists, political leaders, soldiers, civilians—or something else entirely. What is clear is that the facility was active during the final days of The Planet X and was placed into autonomous lockdown before all external communications ceased.
The loss of Nullonium has made recovery efforts fundamentally different from any previous post-catastrophe scenario. Nullonium harvesting has completely halted. All known surface deposits were either destroyed or rendered inaccessible during Ghidorah’s rampage, and orbital extraction is impossible under quarantine protocols. As Nullonium remains the only element proven capable of controlling—or even meaningfully deterring—King Ghidorah, the planet cannot be safely re-opened. The absence of this resource transforms The Planet X from a disaster zone into a permanent risk to galactic stability.
As a result, The Planet X remains under enforced quarantine.
Most of the surviving population entered cryosleep in the final phase of the evacuation effort. Cryogenic vaults were intended to preserve genetic diversity, institutional memory, and the possibility of eventual revival once Nullonium control could be re-established. However, cryosleep was never meant to last this long. Power degradation, system failures, and unknown exposure effects raise serious questions about how many sleepers remain viable—and whether those who awaken will be the same people who went under.
The Planet X Revival Project, therefore, is not a plan for restoration in the traditional sense. It is a gamble.
Revival does not begin with cities or governments, but with decisions:
Who is awakened first?
Who controls the cloning infrastructure?
What authority, if any, do clones possess over original survivors—or vice versa?
And most critically, how does a civilization rebuild while permanently confined to a quarantined world that cannot be defended against its greatest threat?
The Planet X may yet live again—but it will not be the The Planet X that existed before Ghidorah.
After being lost in space for an unknown length of relativistic time, we have managed to return.
Welcome back aboard :b
