The United Socialist States of Ouesopa is a titanic, environmentally stunning nation, renowned for its anti-smoking policies, compulsory military service, and devotion to social welfare. The compassionate population of 10.609 billion Ouesopans are fiercely patriotic and enjoy great social equality; they tend to view other, more capitalist countries as somewhat immoral and corrupt.

The enormous government juggles the competing demands of Healthcare, Education, and Administration. The average income tax rate is 76.1%, and even higher for the wealthy.

The strong Ouesopan economy, worth 624 trillion Euros a year, is driven entirely by a combination of government and state-owned industry, with private enterprise illegal. The industrial sector, which is quite specialized, is led by the Tourism industry, with significant contributions from Uranium Mining, Trout Farming, and Pizza Delivery. Average income is 58,818 Euros, and distributed extremely evenly, with little difference between the richest and poorest citizens.

Ouesopan watches are often the only thing to survive a disaster intact, earthquake sirens are a leading cause of hearing loss, bike rage is all the rage, and it is not politically correct to suspect that a serially convicted burglar might steal again. Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown, thanks to a very well-funded police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Ouesopa's national animal is the Dove, which soars majestically through the nation's famously clear skies.

Ouesopa is ranked 273,721^st in the world and 475^th in The Communist Bloc for Highest Drug Use, scoring 35.11 on the Pineapple Fondness Rating.
