La Boca, April 27 — Stop the presses and grab your umbrellas — and maybe a life jacket while you’re at it! After a record-breaking dry spell stretching back to October 4 of last year, the skies over the Republic of La Boca have finally decided they’ve had enough of playing hard to get.
Tomorrow marks the grand, soggy entrance of the rainy season, with Mother Nature dramatically smashing her water bucket over the region. Forecasts predict a generous 50 to 70 millimeters of rain — because apparently, moderation is so last season.
Authorities have issued a yellow (and flirting with orange) alert for the area, meaning it’s officially time to pretend you love wearing wet socks and navigating puddles the size of small lakes. Citizens are advised to prepare for slippery roads, possible localized flooding, and the sudden existential crisis of realizing they don't actually own a proper umbrella.
After nearly seven months of sun-soaked stubbornness, the skies are making up for lost time — with the enthusiasm of a clumsy waiter trying to carry a tray full of drinks. Stay safe, stay dry(ish), and remember: today’s drizzle is tomorrow’s humblebrag about "surviving the Big Rain of ‘25."
