I tried to turn off borders, but it turned the map into shades of blue, and it didn't work afterwards.
Did you forget to assign a nation to each colour? It does that if you don't.

Breaking
Massive evacuations of over 1.9 milion people have been ordered on the east of the Nubian Isles as a great typhoon buldozes its way into Nubilis. Widespread destruction including flooding, landslides and infrastructure damage have been confirmed. Great tragedy has hit rescue services after confirming the deaths of at least 5 people, with many more considered missing. Although the evacuations were rushed and unexpected, it was said to have saved many lives in the cities and towns which now face power outages, severely impacted digital and physical infrastructure, and transport distruption. Hundreds of flights were cancelled alongside plenty of sports events due to the heavy rainfall. The Nubian government is working hard to ensure the safety of its citizens and a steady recovery. Plenty of updates are expected to follow suit.
Economy
The Nubian government has officially declared a new tax - dubbed the "elderly tax" by critics - to address the accumulation of wealth in older generations. The tax is aimed to get unemployed and rich citizens to invest their money into businesses and younger generations instead of holding money. This change in policy amongst recent administrations has reflected the current aging population in Nubilis Proper, as well as future inflation concerns. Although the country already has a sizeable workforce when including territory states, the government hopes to improve the demographics in Nubilis Proper before eventually letting the whole country fall into the same crisis. Manchuria currently benefits from a large youth, leading to the government being desperate to replicate this elsewhere.
Geopolitics
The Grand Duchy of Nubilis, under a suprising turn of events, has opened itself to international co-operation after long isolatory periods. PM Vance has said she wishes to complete the will of the Grand Duke in establishing the Nubian nation as an international power. However, such as decision has faced immense criticisms and fear among the Nubian people as fears arise of foreign empires and 'superhumans' - although such theories have long been debunked by scientific and satellite records. The stigma of outsiders in Nubian culture seems to be a great stepping stone for the current government as the overwhelming benefits to international contact have to be reasoned with to the common people. Such concerns have also been amplified by current media and literature with the movie "Project Sea People" depicting common legends of a 'sea people' coming into reality and subjugating Nubilis. Still, the PM and her advisors await results as the room around Nubilis has never felt more silent...
