Loading...In Aria, "going bohemian" is a pretty common thing.
Aria (specifically, its patron-deity (or leyline-demon) Ethrenpes/Chin) tends to draw out very rash (read: violent) impulses from people, so a lot of sorcerers end up vacationing outside of the leyline for indeterminate periods of time to catch a break from that, either by living out a regular-ish life or by getting employed into sorcerer-cells in the cities, where a constrained source of mana generation (also demons, usually constrained epistemologically to a specific area and/or pacified through enchantments) enables sorcerers to run small magical shops for any bohemian or demon-hunter that might be passing through the area.
Arie/Arimi sorcerers themselves tend to think that Aria is not a very good place to live, so, er, I suppose I wouldn't either, at some point! But it *is* a post-scarcity society, and you *do* get to be a sorcerer, so... maybe? :3
Well, Fallen Nations has officially Survived™ the nuclear apocalypse completely unscathed. We even managed to hit top 15 (which is pretty impressive considering we were the smallest faction within top 20 by a pretty big margin).
Inspired by this brief moment of Taking NationStates Seriously™, I also decided to make a basic factbook about Elysion. Hope everyone had fun.
Now back to our regularly scheduled Fallen London-ing and Getting One Guy'd By Candleswhisper Archives-ing, Delicious Friends.
In fact, we have not only ended in top 15, we are #14 with over 22 000 points! Great job, everyone! This N-Day was an unprecedented success (as, of course, there was no precedence for us). Looking forward to Z-Day!
Best regards from your WA Delegate,
A bunch of smart frogs
Personally I'm looking forward to Q-Day the most, who knows what that could be?
Either way I'm also pleasantly surprised at how well we did!
Yay \0/
Best regards from your not WA Delegate,
Probably 7 Crows in a Trench Coat
The Free Lands of Biblitopia are proud to announce that, after several months of deliberation, that we have decided the World Assembly is worth at least poking in to as opposed to remaining in our default hermit state. While we do not wish to usurp the status of the
Goosey Commune as delegate, we hope that this boost to voting power assists in our region's goals as long as they remain aligned with what we believe a good government should aspire to. Many of the passed policies all fit in well to our established laws, so we do not anticipate a breakage from them at this time.
That being said, there are those in our governing body continue to look upon the organisation with suspicion, as several resolutions have passed which do not meet Biblitopian standards on legislation, contingencies, and clear legal language: Depending on the state of matters going forward, our position within it may be temporary. Even if this is the case, and we do withdraw, we intend to remain cordial and in cooperation with STARS, ECO, WASIF, and similar administrative bodies that may be established within our borders if other Assembly members require it from us and we have chosen to adopt those resolutions. It would also be a gigantic waste of money to have built those headquarters complete with custom carved insignia and decorations if we turned them out, so rest assured that our status will not hamper any interregional cooperation tied to those parties.
Kindly,
The People Of Bibiltopia
We, too, have entered
The assembly, though
For reasons quite self-centered;
Our own issues, you see, come quite slow
And some of their changes
Alter our qualities to desired ranges.
You are being polled.
Please do not resist.
I picked Breath of the Void, because space. Even though it's a waste, since one could easily obtain dozens of them before even becoming a Nation of Some Importance.
Shattered Stellasea would very much like an Impossible Theorem. It seems like it would be helpful for Advanced Civic Engineering. And the sooner we get our intercity transit system done, the sooner our surveyors and construction workers stop falling into those vast and probably cursed fissures all over our countryside.
As apparently our nation has actualised what was called an Impossible Theorem already, we have abstained from it. A rare collection of stories unable to be found elsewhere, however? Do not mind if we do.
