1: Yes, I think this is necessary. With English being NS' main language anyway, it just makes sense.
2: 6 months is probably best. Not too long, not too short.
3: Yes, I believe so, I could be biased though.
4: Prime Minister preferably.
5: I think the NVML should be a sort of confederation. The central government needs to sacrifice some powers to the regional governments, while retaining a few itself.

Thanks for the help:)

If you’d like to get more involved in NVML, you can send over an alt and I can give your NVML citizenship:)

The funniest thing about my environmental science class is that my teacher is adamant that none of try to solve the oil problem. apparently there is a very long list of people who came up with oil saving measures and were just found dead in the middle of the desert.

I’m not one for conspiracy theories, but I don’t completely trust big oil…

Big oil is pretty involved in the government through lobbyists and just throwing money at things to stay as profitable as it can…

Greetings MHBs New Earth,

I'm hosting the 2nd round of questions concerning NoVa Majestia Lounge. Please take a look if you're interested:

Here is round 2 for questions concerning NoVa Majestia Lounge:

  1. WA

    1. How much power should NVML's Delegate have (relative to the Prime Minister)?

      • Jon-YAKITORY: "The Delegate should have substantial WA authority, but remain subordinate to the PM constitutionally."

      • Fallen Shadow: "less than PM, but still a lot"

      • HaruhiIsShy: "Less, but still a lot. Probably WA-related stuff"

      • Tekkhu: "Some amount that is less than the Head of Government. I really don’t know."

    2. Should NVML's Delegate be actively involved with WA proposals (e.g., writing opinions like WA Secretaries for our citizens)?

      • Jon-YAKITORY: "Opinions are useful, but shouldn't become mandatory."

      • More A Saki Shion: "Probably, yeah."

      • Fallen Shadow: "yes, opinions would be useful"

      • HaruhiIsShy: "Not mandatory, but optional"

      • Tekkhu: "The WA delegate should vote in every proposal, if possible. As for giving advice, that would be really cool. I could see that being a lot of work though, so I feel it should be a recommendation rather than a requirement for the WA delegate to provide regional secretariat advice. When electing a WA delegate, candidates could share their intended quality and quantity of voting advice."

      • Japtilas: "I think we should have an elected delegate that’s main goal is to vote in every WA resolution"

      • Amala: "The Delegate should write opinions, but not be mandatory. That would take up so much personal time. Probably on the more important topics. If, at least they vote in resolutions, then that'd be great."

    3. Should we host Regional elections for WA proposals (to decide what the Delegate should vote)?

      • Jon-YAKITORY: "The Delegate should consider the result instead of being bound by it."

      • Fallen Shadow: "no"

      • HaruhiIsShy: "Not elections, but maybe discussions instead so we can state reasoning and opinion"

      • Tekkhu: "That seems like a bit of a hassle. We should trust our delegate to vote for the good of the region. If they don’t, we can always vote them out of office (or something of the similar)."

    4. Should WA Members be given special perks?

      • Jon-YAKITORY: "Limited. Possibly special participation in WA affairs, eligibility for Delegate elections."

      • Fallen Shadow: "maybe, but nkt a lot"

      • Tekkhu: "Depends on the “perks,” but in most cases no. There are a plethora of good reasons for one to avoid the WA, so I don’t think we should deny non-WA nations certain things."

      • Japtilas: "I think that only WA members can vote for the WA delegate."

      • Amala: "I agree with Japtilas, that only WA Members should vote for the Delegate."

  2. Elections

    1. How long should official elections last at the minimum?

      • Jon-YAKITORY: "7 days"

      • More A Saki Shion: "7 days seems good"

      • Fallen Shadow: "7-10 days"

      • HaruhiIsShy: "7 days minimum, 14 maximum"

      • Tekkhu: "I don’t know about the whole process, but perhaps the voting phase could last around 7 days to ensure most nations get their vote? Of course this could be lessened with adequate reminders in advance."

      • Japtilas: "It seems like most people wanted a week to vote for each RO position, but I think that may be a little too long. I was thinking 3-5 days instead…"

      • Amala: "I'll have to agree with the majority of people, that 7 days seems best. Although if we have enough reminders and turnout among the first few days, it could be shortened."

    2. Should there be a designated position in the Government for a person that manages elections?

      • Jon-YAKITORY: "Would probably be good"

      • HaruhiIsShy: "Yeah, so we can stay organized for elections"

      • Tekkhu: "Maybe. That responsibility could also be included within another government role. It should certainly be covered in some position, though."

    3. Should the Vice-Prime Minister be elected?

      • Jon-YAKITORY: "Possibly, sure."

      • More A Saki Shion: "Yeah, a good counterweight for the PM."

      • Fallen Shadow: "yes"

      • HaruhiIsShy: "Maybe the person who placed 2nd place in PM elections can be Vice PM?"

      • Tekkhu: "Elected or chosen by the PM, between those I have no preference."

      • Amala: "I like Haruhi's opinion for Vice-Prime Ministers, about how they placed 2nd in primary PM elections. That, or chosen by the PM."

  3. Communication

    1. Should there be a RO responsible for (trans)-regional communication?

      • Jon-YAKITORY: "Yes, especially because NVML is a multi-region merger."

      • More A Saki Shion: "Definitely, yes."

      • Fallen Shadow: "would be nice"

      • HaruhiIsShy: "It would be good, yeah."

      • Tekkhu: "Yes. Embassy management and parent region communications are important."

      • Japtilas: "A trans-regional communication RO would be good."

      • Amala: "We already have Nova News for more informal trans-regional communication, but a more formal RO position would also be good."

  4. Governor

    1. How should governorship be transferred?

      • Jon-YAKITORY: "Parent regions keep control. NVML should not dictate who governs MJT, MHB, Hells Lounge, or VT&A."

      • HaruhiIsShy: "I don't know much if this, but i think each parent region retains control over its own Governor."

      • Tekkhu: "I don’t know exactly how we should do it, just that efforts should be made to ensure the role stays in trustworthy hands."

      • Japtilas: "[Perhaps] a sort of screening to double check that any elected governors aren't going to try to coup or destroy the region."

That's so troubling.

In China, people tend to disappear whenever there are mobile execution vans nearby. Victims are never found again because the body parts are too valuable to dump somewhere, allegedly.

I am planning to publish the next edition of Nova News in 6 Days. I'm looking for volunteers to help with the Opinion and Community Interview sections.

Would anyone be interested in either preparing questions and conducting interviews, or participating as someone to be questioned/interviewed? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

If you want to, please telegram me at -Amala-.

We are good for now, we've got 2 applicants for the next 2 editions.

HELLS LOUNGE

Hells Lounge Sees Positive Population Growth

Hells Lounge has recorded a notable increase in population, rising from 17 to 26 nations — a gain of 9 residents.

The region has also seen a surge in Regional Message Board activity, with four pages of posts generated through community conversation. Two rounds of the NoVa Majestia Lounge Questions have also been completed, giving residents another opportunity to participate and share their thoughts.

Despite its reputation for unpredictability and chaotic fun, the Lounge continues to offer a lively and entertaining community for those looking for somewhere a little different.

VTUBERS AND ANIME

Cards, Activities, and Community Drive VT&A

Cards continue to be a major feature of VTubers and Anime, with the region's total card value recently surpassing $11,000.

The region has also expanded its diplomatic connections, establishing embassies with Squeaky Squeakers and The Glitches.

Members have participated in both rounds of NoVa Majestia Lounge Questions, while approximately four pages of RMB activity have been filled with casual conversation, stories and community discussion.

The region's population currently stands at a stable 18 nations, following a mixture of departures, nations ceasing to exist and new residents joining.

MJT

MJT Leads Activity Again

Of all the regions in the merger, MJT currently stands as the most active on the Regional Message Board.

A total of 12 pages of RMB activity have been recorded, covering everything from casual conversation and stories to original characters and the occasional Question of the Day.

Warrior Cats and Forsaken remain popular topics among residents.

The region also recently celebrated Majestia's third birthday. An election concerning the implementation of a new rulebook was held, although the proposed rulebook ultimately failed to pass.

Meanwhile, MJT's population has continued to grow, increasing from 48 to 52 residents.

MHB'S NEW EARTH

Quiet Activity Continues

Activity in MHB's New Earth remains relatively quiet compared with the other NVML regions.

The region continues to see occasional everyday conversations, with the occasional poem appearing among the RMB posts.

Despite its quieter atmosphere, the region has recorded modest population growth, increasing by one nation to 18 residents.

SPECIAL ARTICLE

SPECIAL ARTICLE: Constitution Enters Second Phase of Drafting

NoVa Majestia Lounge's constitution has officially entered its second phase of drafting.

The constitution has been under development for some time and has already gone through two rounds of questions designed to gather feedback from the communities involved.

With enough responses now collected, drafting can move forward.

There is still work to be done before the document is complete, but NVML is now one step closer to having its finished constitution.

STATISTIC

STATISTIC: Total RMB Posts Per Region

RMB posts are how people talk with each other, other than the private Telegrams. In the Regional Message Board, people can chat freely with anyone, about any topic (Within site and region rules). Here, we look at which region is the most active regarding its messages.

In Hells Lounge, we found that over the 4 pages of activity, the region has had a strong total of 96 messages! Quite a number!

Now, for MHBs New Earth, it's a lot less active because people don't chat much here. Here, there were a good number of messages, at 18.

Over in MJT, it's much, much more active here, with a staggering 307 messages! Just over triple the number in the Lounge!

VTubers and Anime remains modestly active, with a positive 98, barely more than the Lounge.

OPINION

For our opinion section, we spoke with Hiiragi Kirai, Governor and Founder of VTubers and Anime, about the merger and the region's development.

OPINION: Hiiragi Kirai

What's your opinion on NoVa Majestia Lounge, as the Governor of VTubers and Anime?

Our second opinion comes from an important person in VTubers and Anime - It's Governor and Founder.

"My opinion? VT&A has always been a small, friend-based community. The first time someone from outside actually entered the region and became part of it from as far back that I can remember is Stareogratia, almost... 7 months ago, I think. Since then, the region has stayed relatively the same, although some members want to do more."

Is that a jab at me? I think so!

"Nothing's wrong with that, I think it's good to want to do more for your home region. I was already thinking of getting some more proper rules in place for VT&A, as a few of my regionmates know since we often meet up irl. NVML was a great place to actually get in some work done for this, although it is -Amala- doing the more important stuff with the other regions."

COMMUNITY INTERVIEW

COMMUNITY SPOTLIGHT: Malalonius

Here, we have a spotlight on someone important. It's Malalonius, Governor and WA Delegate of the Lounge!

Q: How would you introduce yourself?

A: "I would introduce myself as Mal! Mal, the cheerful roleplay-loving Governor of Hells Lounge, and before that, Mal the cheerful, roleplay-loving Lounger, RO, and many-times Delegate of Hells Lounge.

Q: What first inspired you to create your nation?

A: "I'm gonna be honest - the only reason I made this nation is because someone I knew on Scratch mentioned it on their page. I decided to check it out and give that person a hello, and here I am! Fun fact, Malalonius was originally supposed to be a nation about dragons, but then I thought 'I've already done dragons for a bunch of other stuff - why not do phoenixes this time?", and around three years later, I have a slight obsession with birds."

Q: How long have you been a resident of Hells Lounge?

A: I've been a Lounger for a looooong time, from when the region reached its 11th page of posts up until now. I never really thought I'd govern the place someday - I was always content with being an RO.

Q: How is it, being the Head of the Lounge and the Delegate?

A: "Being the Governor is very different from being an RO - I think I'm a better RO than a Governor. But it gives me a strange feeling, to think that the responsibility of handling the very region I was an old part of has fallen on my shoulders. I have been the Delegate many times before, though - mainly because of the lack of WA nations! Endorsements were a messy thing."

Q: What is your opinion on the NoVa Majestia Lounge merger?

A: "My opinion on NVML... I haven't quite seen anything like it, but then again, MJT is pretty much the furthest out of my region I've been on NS. I like it! I think it's a nice idea, bringing these communities in one place. I'm just surprised my region was significant enough to be a part of it."

Q: What do you think makes Hells Lounge unique to the greater NVML merger?

A: "I think one thing that sets the Lounge apart from the other regions is its background and themes. The Lounge itself is an offshoot of Hell, and thus the Lounge itself tended to be a rather chaotic, gremlin-filled place right from the start. I'd also say our lack of renown... renownedness? Renownity? Our lack of being well-known like the other member regions as well."

Q: What do you think is the biggest challenge facing the Hells Lounge community right now?

A: "The biggest challenge facing the Lounge is honestly activity. As you've seen, there aren't many people coming in, and the region itself isn't that well known. For the past few weeks, the number of new RMB posts I see when logging in is on average under 10."

Thank you for participating in Nova News!🌌

"No problem! It was my pleasure!
Yours sincerely,
-- The Phoenix-Human Aviandom of Malalonius, Governor of Hells Lounge, Desert Lands of Fire and Flair, Home of Phoenix- and Kraken-Kind"

WORLD ASSEMBLY NEWS

GA Compliance at 75%

The post-reset General Assembly has now reached 12 adopted resolutions, following the passage of four additional resolutions in recent developments.

With the number of adopted resolutions continuing to rise, General Assembly compliance has reached approximately 75%, providing a useful benchmark for participation among World Assembly nations.

New "Tranches" Feature Introduced!

A new feature has also been introduced: Tranches.

Tranches allow World Assembly members to group multiple General Assembly resolutions together and adopt them en masse.

Under the new system, any nation can create a tranche containing the resolutions of its choice. Other WA members can then follow that tranche and adopt all of its recommended resolutions.

The new feature could make managing large numbers of General Assembly resolutions considerably easier for nations looking to keep their compliance up to date.
