GOVERNMENT URGES RESTRAINT AMID ONGOING PROTESTS

The Andunan government held a press conference this morning at the People's Revolutionary Parliament building in Großburg. The conference was attended by representatives from multiple media outlets, including Voice of Anduna, The Andunan Vanguard, and The Islamic Press.

The government's statement, delivered by Minister of Information Aminata Fall, addressed the ongoing protests in Mande and Asante provinces.

Minister Fall's statement:

"The government acknowledges the concerns raised by citizens in Mande and Asante provinces regarding the Special Zones and the recent arrests. We understand that these measures have caused anxiety and frustration among local populations.

However, we must also emphasize that these measures are necessary for the security of all Andunans. The terrorist threat in these regions is real and ongoing. JNIM, KIM, and TTM continue to seek opportunities to attack civilians and destabilize the state.

The government calls on all demonstrators to exercise restraint. We call on protesters to return to their homes. We call on community leaders to discourage violence and to encourage dialogue.

The government is committed to restoring civilian governance in Mande and Asante as soon as security conditions permit. We ask for patience and cooperation during this difficult period."

The press conference lasted approximately thirty minutes. Minister Fall took questions from journalists but declined to provide specific timelines for the lifting of the Special Zones.

When asked about the warrantless arrests, Minister Fall stated:

"The arrests were conducted based on credible intelligence. The individuals detained are being held for questioning. They will be released when they are no longer deemed a threat. We cannot provide further details without compromising ongoing operations."

The military governors of Mande and Asante provinces have issued similar statements, calling for calm and cooperation.

PEACEFUL PROTEST TURNS CONFRONTATIONAL IN KUMASI

A peaceful protest organized by a local priest in Kumasi, Asante Province, turned confrontational today when demonstrators began throwing rocks at Military Police officers.

Details of the incident:

The protest began at approximately 10:00 AM in Kumasi's central square. Approximately 500 demonstrators gathered, carrying signs and chanting slogans calling for the release of detained individuals and the restoration of civilian governance.

The demonstration remained peaceful for approximately two hours. At approximately 12:15 PM, a group of younger protesters, described by witnesses as "agitated," began throwing rocks and debris at Military Police officers stationed at the perimeter of the square.

Military Police responded by deploying tear gas and advancing into the crowd to disperse the demonstrators. The confrontation lasted approximately thirty minutes before the crowd dispersed.

Casualties and arrests:

· 27 protesters arrested
· 15 injured, including:
· 7 Military Police officers (minor injuries from rocks and debris)
· 8 protesters (injuries from tear gas, falls, and physical confrontations)

The injured were transported to local hospitals and clinics. None of the injuries are reported to be life-threatening.

Military Governor General Ousmane Konaté issued a statement following the incident:

"I call on all protesters to return home. The demonstrations have become confrontational. This is not acceptable. We will not allow violence to disrupt security operations.

The individuals arrested today will be processed according to military law. Those who threw rocks at officers will face charges. Those who were merely present will be released after questioning.

I repeat: return home. Do not test the patience of the Military Police. We are here to protect you, not to fight you. But we will maintain order, by any means necessary."

The local priest who organized the protest has not yet commented on the confrontation. Sources indicate that he is attempting to negotiate the release of detained protesters.

NATIONAL UNITY GOVERNMENT DISSOLVED, GENERAL ELECTIONS SCHEDULED

Chairman Erik von Friedrikh has officially dissolved the National Unity Government (NUG), the wartime coalition that has governed Anduna since June 7, 2027.

The dissolution was announced in a televised address this afternoon:

"The National Unity Government was formed to guide our nation through the Western Sahrawi War. It has fulfilled its purpose. The ceasefire holds. The peace negotiations continue. The economy is recovering.

I have therefore dissolved the National Unity Government. General elections will be held in sixty days. The people of Anduna will choose their next government."

Election Details:

· Date: September 10, 2027 (60 days from today)
· Electoral System: Single Transferable Vote (STV) for parliamentary elections
· Presidential Elections: Ranked-choice voting
· Monitoring: Independent Electoral Commission, with international observers invited
· Special Zones: Mande and Asante will participate in elections, but with heightened security

Key provisions for the Special Zones:

· Ballots will be heavily protected by Military Police and WAFID agents
· No elections will be held for the governors of Mande and Asante provinces (the military governors will remain in place)
· Provincial parliamentary delegates will be elected, but their powers will be limited while the Special Zones remain in effect

Chairman von Friedrikh, addressing the Special Zone provisions:

"I understand the concerns of citizens in Mande and Asante. They want to vote. They want representation. They will have it. They will elect delegates to the People's Revolutionary Parliament.

But the security situation does not permit the election of civilian governors. The military governors will remain in place until the threat is neutralized. This is not a permanent arrangement. It is a temporary necessity."

The People's Revolutionary Parliament (formerly the Revolutionary Council) will be dissolved prior to the elections. All 300 seats will be contested.

Polling indicates that the SRP is likely to maintain its dominant position, with the ISC remaining the primary opposition. The APFP is expected to lose seats, while the newly formed Christian Socialist Front (CSF) may gain representation.

GOVERNMENT ANNOUNCES INVESTMENT IN COCOA FARMS

The Ministry of Economy has announced a significant investment in cocoa production in the Côte d'Ivoire region of Asante Province.

Spokesperson for the Ministry of Economy, Omar Cissé, issued the following statement:

"The government will invest between 25 million and 90 million USD into cocoa farms in the Côte d'Ivoire region. This investment will support:

· Farm rehabilitation and modernization
· New cocoa processing facility in Abidjan
· Reforestation of degraded cocoa lands
· Support for smallholder farmers

Cocoa is one of Asante Province's most lucrative exports. By investing in processing facilities, we will capture more of the value chain domestically, creating jobs and increasing state revenue."

Key components of the investment:

1. Farm Investment (25-90 million USD): Direct support to cocoa cooperatives for equipment, seedlings, and training
2. Processing Facility: A new state-owned cocoa processing plant in Abidjan, scheduled to begin operations in 2028. The facility will process raw cocoa beans into cocoa butter, powder, and finished chocolate products.
3. Reforestation: The government has begun planting trees in degraded cocoa-growing areas and closing some older plantations to allow forest regeneration.
4. Farmer Support: Smallholder cocoa farmers will receive technical assistance, access to credit, and guaranteed purchase prices.

Minister of Economy Dr. Alassane Diop (APFP) commented:

"Cocoa is a strategic resource for Anduna. The global demand for chocolate and cocoa products continues to rise. By investing in processing capacity, we ensure that Anduna captures more of the value from this resource.

We are also committed to sustainable production. Reforestation and the closure of degraded plantations will ensure that cocoa farming remains viable for generations to come."

The investment is part of the government's broader strategy to develop the economies of the newly integrated provinces. Similar investments are planned for coffee in Mande Province, palm oil in Balanta Province, and gold in Upper Volta Province.

Paraw builds 'Hari Wall' on its Eastern Border

His Majesty, King Hari has ordered the new construction of a line of fortifications on the country's eastern border facing United kontania and Kamboudia. The King says this is to prevent another brutal invasion and attacks from the east of the country as it had endured during the Kontanan invasion of its territory. Duke Lancelot Natura, head of the Royal Parawi Armed Forces, has said the new line of fortifications will be called the "Hari Wall" in honor of the King. Lord Treasurer Varakorn Lerata has said the royal treasury will commit 3 billion Mazals for the defence line, sourced from aid by Paraw's allies.

"No longer shall our eastern cities of Varina fall or be in any danger. This new wall of steel shall keep our enemies out." King Hari defiantly said, at an inspection of Parawi troops in Varina Forward Operating Base near the Parawi-Kontanan border. The King at this inspection ceremony laid a wreath to a recently built memorial honoring the fallen Parawi, Greater Agnolian, and New Xartoian soldiers who died during the Kontanan invasion of Paraw. He saluted veteran troops of the Army's IV Corps who saluted the King on arrival.

Industrial Capacity Grows for Parawi Arms Production from Crown Investments

As a result of years of war with United Kontania, Paraw's defence industry has been invested with billions in Parawi Mazals by the state, and now experiences a significant expansion of its production capacity. The Lord Treasurer Varakorn Lerata has reported to King Hari that Paraw's defence manufacturing capabilities, while not on the same level as Federal Eagle Empire's massive arms industry, is soon approaching the same level of arms manufacturing as Greater Agnolia. The Crown wishes to soon grow Parawi corporations in the arms industry to let them have the industrial capacity to produce and eventually export Parawi defence products abroad to other countries.

King Hari has stated publicly that renewed investments have been approved and appropriated estimated at 10 billion Mazas to small-arms Parawi defence enterprises, such as the small King's Armories Corporation (KA Corp.) which has grown substantially as a result of contracts from the Parawi state for the war with Kontania, but experienced a decline due to the end of the war.

King Hari declares Parawi Monarchy as Sacred, Rejects Democratic Reforms

King Hari, during the 324th Subayaran Ceremony of the Faithful, has rightly declared solemnly that the Parawi monarchy is the most sacred institution in our nation. He said in a stadium to a crowd of 250,000 followers in Prasano, that by having faith in the King and the royal family, Paraw and its faith will remain 'protected and uncorrupted'. He has flatly rejected liberal and progressive values, saying that they are threat to traditional Parawi values of family, religion, and King. "Truly these are the values that makes one Parawi, and this has been fact for thousands of years." said King Hari.

He continued, "Now more than ever, new ideas have come to threaten our peaceful and happy way of life here. Dangerous ideas, of communism, of democracy, which claims to bring benefits to the population - but only brings rule by a mob. It wishes to establish a division of leaders, parties, the removal of the Church and God from our schools, and allowing men to marry each other - all against the scriptures of Subayara. Claiming it offers stability and prosperity, it promotes division and secularism. No, my loyal subjects, we must remain united and committed to stand in rejection of these toxic ideals which aim to rip apart the very fabric of our society."

The King strongly rejects and denounces democratic reforms, demanded by extreme and fringe minority groups in Paraw. By extent, he similarly rejects socialism and communism, and is reportedly considering to decree a ban on democratic and communist literature that aims to divide Parawi society. We at the Royal Gazette must applaud His Majesty for his decisive stance on the problem of democracy and socialism, and their false hopes.

Foreign Chancellor visits Anduna, meets Chairman von Friedrich

The Foreign Chancellor of Paraw, Lord Suracha Prattabuya, Marquis of Kutarsi, has arrived by plane to Großburg, Anduna with the aim of improving economic and defence cooperation with Anduna.

Arriving on an official diplomatic trip to the country, Lord Prattabuya met with Chairman Erik von Friedrich. He first thanked the Chairman for Anduna's consistent and committed support to Paraw during the war with United Kontania despite the domestic political changes in his country, and that as a result of unchanging Andunan support, King Hari wishes to deepen cooperation.

Parawi Crown-owned corporations are aiming to invest in Anduna's growing cocoa industry in the Côte d'Ivoire region of Asante Province, and wish to set up processing plants in the country. Lord Prattabuya wishes to secure Chairman von Friedrich's support and approval for the scheme, which will then allow the facilitations of economic planning talks between Lord Treasurer Varakorn Lerata and Andunan Minister of Economy, Omar Cissé. Furthermore, the Foreign Chancellor says that King Hari approves Andunan enterprises being allowed to outsource and establish cocoa farms in Paraw (Thailand), which has a suitable climate and environment for the crop. The proposal, Lord Prattabuya says, will generate new jobs for Andunans and continue to expand Anduna's cocoa producton, while he reassured the Chairman that Parawi Crown-held corporations will pay taxes to the Andunan government and will respect Andunan laws. The same would apply to Andunan cocoa companies outsourcing in Paraw.

Furthermore, Lord Pattabuya said that if this economic arrangement is approved, Paraw would also be willing to export its small arms to Anduna at market prices. Recent Crown investments into the local Parawi arms industry has enabled for the export of top-of-the-line, Parawi-made rifles and pistols, tested and used in the war with Kontania. These arms would be exported for the sole use of the Andunan military and security forces, and has been personally supported by King Hari of Paraw.
