I never had a civil war and I have no dictator! I had a giant century-long period of warlordism and chaos that culminated in a civil war, led to a republic that was led by the same guy for thirty years before devolving into another short civil war, after which the former leader of the republic crowned himself as king and his descendants now lead the country and have full control of the military... oh.
(I am a constitutional monarchy though, so the dictator part is a little exaggerated)
