The 15th Iarecian Assembly of Vlaskal is a mammoth, efficient nation, ruled by Premier Eugen Jaivinski with a fair hand, and renowned for its daily referendums, keen interest in outer space, and irreverence towards religion. The compassionate, democratic population of 6.712 billion Iarecians are fiercely patriotic and enjoy great social equality; they tend to view other, more capitalist countries as somewhat immoral and corrupt.

The large, socially-minded government juggles the competing demands of Administration, Education, and Healthcare. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Reignvau. The average income tax rate is 92.0%, and even higher for the wealthy.

The frighteningly efficient Iarecian economy, worth a remarkable 1,222 trillion Vinerisks a year, is driven entirely by a combination of government and state-owned industry, with private enterprise illegal. The industrial sector, which is broadly diversified, is dominated by the Information Technology industry, with significant contributions from Tourism, Book Publishing, and Arms Manufacturing. Average income is an impressive 182,095 Vinerisks, and distributed extremely evenly, with little difference between the richest and poorest citizens.

Public footpaths are being slowly eroded by the burgeoning number of ramblers, shoppers carry protractors to verify their produce, the recycled air in planes is nauseating, and the government is washing its hands of alleged corruption. Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown, thanks to a capable police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Vlaskal's national animal is the Iveran Fox, which is also the nation's favorite main course, and its national religion is Red White and Black.

Vlaskal is ranked 8,022^nd in the world and 30^th in The Region That Has No Big Banks for Highest Average Tax Rates, with 91.95 Effective Tax Rate.
