Strange lights seen in the sky are officially regarded as weather balloons or hoaxes and nothing else, Dogman-branded weapons are all the rage in the militaristic comic-book community, old folks reminisce about the last time someone was acquitted of a crime, and cults that offer eternal life after death to those who follow a self-sacrificing saviour are frowned upon. Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown, thanks to a capable police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Athein's national animal is the wolf, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests.
