The Governor "succession" feature would've been really useful in the FFS when I got IP banned.....

Ha! That's very true.

It's always ironic that I find most of my time to do NS work during the school-year. It comes of being a bad student who'd rather do anything but schoolwork.

Yeah I know. I noticed I did a lot more NS work at the BEGINNING of the semester (being bored and not much work) because at the end there was tons of stress that I guess shouldnt have been there.....That guy bumped my grade up 10 percent it is nothing like high school, and I know I did terrible on the final (B-, worst grade I've gotten in college). Then it is like a VACATION. Idk. And i procastinate a lot. I tell myself not to but I notice almost all my classmates do work last minute and theyre fine.... The neuropsyciatrist said I was "suffering from psychosis" and "possible autism." Caused by/associated with epilepsy. I have temporal lobe epilepsy, so my memory has gotten terrible since I've had tonic clonic seizures. That sucks the most. Even little things that are common sense I get wrong. I may have a gut feeling an answer is right but I tell myself it is just too easy to be the answer......

This semester I have my own college course, in world history, to teach.

Oh, well done!

Merry Candlemas / Groundhog Day / Presentation of the Lord at the Temple / Dachstag! (all, in fact, one and the same holiday)

"If Candlemas is fair and clear / There'll be twa winters in the year"

(When the groundhog sees his shadow on the morning of Mary Candlemas, he will again go into his hole and remain there for six weeks. But if the morning of Mary Candlemas is overcast, the groundhog will remain outside and there will be another spring.)

Sonnt sich der Dachs in der Lichtmeßwoche, so geht er auf vier Wochen wieder zu Loche ("If the badger sunbathes during Candlemas-week, for four more weeks he will be back in his hole").

Family traditions, beside our own prognostication, include eating toad in a hole and going to the actual Candle Mass.

I am having trouble this semester. My intermediary financial accounting class is way harder than the introduction financial accounting course.....and the teammates in my organizational management (whatever that means) don't like me. I wish I could change my major but its like I'm half way there so I cant quit now. I wish I wouldve done political science. I think there are actually quite a few state jobs for that (IL state jobs are great: part of the reason our state is bankrupt)

There are MANY accounting jobs at the state, but it is gonna be harder I think. Or maybe not. I dont know. The professor is a Republican. He will say stuff like "No this is accounting, we are supposed to be conservative".

There are a lot of shy Republican accountants as a trend for some reason. The personality trait fits.

I actually do find the principle behind accounting easy, but sometimes it is hard to keep the numbers straight. For instance, we were converting an income statement from "accrual basis" (the type of accounting we learned) to cash basis and I get it it is just weird to think about sometimes. For instance, we are asked what to do with an Accounts Receivable payment and we need to subtract it if it is going to cash basis because during cash basis you record when the transaction is made, not when the deal is made.

Yeah, there are important technicalities that I suppose accountants have to keep in mind. All part of the job, I imagine.

Just keep add it, I'm sure you can make it through if you keeping pushing. One of my roommates in college had a lot harder time with courses than most students (as he would put it, he was 'not very smart') but he was extraordinarily diligent and committed, which allowed him to excel many far more gifted students who were lazy and took success for granted. I'm not saying you are like him, just giving an example of a great success.

I hereby proclaim the suspension of the March Firstmonth and Midmonth elections, on the grounds of insufficient interest.

I plan to be ready to hold elections again, come April 1st, though. Things are falling more into place, which is a nice feeling.

I hereby enact the following legislation:

0. This Act is intended to provide for the increase of lesser elected democratic offices under the Republic; to encourage popular participation by Free States in politics; and to allow for orderly expansion, relegation, and reorganization of government duties. This legislation may be referred to as the “Privileges and Immunities for Popular Officers Act,” or the “PIPO Act.”
1. The Crown Sovereign cannot dissolve the Concilium Populi when lawfully constituted. The Crown Sovereign cannot dismiss the Concilium Populi when lawfully constituted, without the consent of the Voces Populi. The Crown Sovereign cannot suspend the business of the Concilium Populi, except in a state of declared emergency or crisis.
2. The Primus shall have the authority to conduct the consultative business of the Concilium Populi whenever convoked by the Crown Sovereign for the purpose of advising on matters specific to Residents or non-citizen inhabitants, according to the consensus of the Concilium Populi. The Primus shall have no power to punish or restrict or dismiss any other Voces Populi, but may issue official censures of Voces Populi on the grounds of bad behavior, absence of duty, or any other as he sees fit.
3. Any Vox Populi can propose a motion. The proposal of a motion shall be sufficient to induce debate and a Vote at the discretion of the Primus. The Primus shall not deny any Vox Populi their Vote on any licit Conciliar matter at Vote for any reason not provided for by law.
4. Voces Populi shall be immune from criminal prosecution for acts conducted in service of Conciliar business, for as long as they hold office, excepting for High Crimes. Voces Populi shall be immune from criminal prosecution, excepting for High Crimes, and from civil suit for speech conducted in service of Conciliar business.
5. Voces Populi shall enjoy the privilege of the assumption, by virtue of holding the office, to enjoy the permission of government to travel abroad, unless and until the Crown transmits to the contrary. Votes from Voces Populi not inhabitant in the region shall not be counted when conducting Conciliar business.
6. In the sustained absence of the Primus after a motion is proposed, of 24 hours or more, the Secundus shall have the lawful powers and responsibilities of the Primus until the return thereof. If the Secundus is also absent, the same applies to the Tertius; if the Tertius is also absent, the same applies to the Quartus; and so on for the Quintus, the Sextus, the Septimus, the Octravus, and the Novus. When the Novus is absent, the decisions of the Decimus shall not suffice for licit acts of the Concilium Populi, unless 48 hours of absence have been sustained.
7. Royal Councillors shall be immune from civil suit for speech conducted in service of Conciliar business.
8. Royal Councillors may be removed by the order of the crown sovereign, or by the unanimous consensus of the Senate.
9. Aldermen shall be immune from civil suit for speech conducted in service of Aldermoot business.
10. The Chief of the Assembly shall have the power to impeach Aldermen on the grounds of bad behavior, who shall be removed from office upon conviction by the majority vote of the Assembly. Aldermen may exclude any Alderman from quorum on the grounds of dereliction, of greater than one day after a motion to vote has been made and seconded in the Aldermoot, by the consent of unanimous vote, not including the Alderman who is the object of quorum exclusion. The Chief of the Assembly shall not deny the Aldermoot their vote for any reason not provided for by law.
11. Commissioners shall be immune from civil suit for speech conducted in service of Commission Board business.
12. Chief Commissioners may request to remove a Commissioner for any stated reason, which the Lord who constituted the Commission, or the crown sovereign, may grant or deny at-will.
13. This Act shall not be construed to bestow greater privileges than specified herein to mentioned officers, nor to grant similar privileges to officers not mentioned.

SCOTUS decided on this recently, fairly narrowly, 9-0, though with a concurring opinion much less audacious than the majority opinion. I assume you've heard by now?

Yes

" This is Jacob Daniels speaking indirectly over a friend's account. My account has been hacked I believe. Please tell your sister to contact one of these. SOMEONE said something to her that I didnt say to her I think:

Poopydoopy370@gmail.com. "

Is there ANYONE (either Western Mars or GOR/Fatty the Marmot) here that can send this to my friend over Facebook?

This better not be her giving me the silent treatment. I'm worried she is a narcissist. I honestly thought that these hackers were admins on Facebook trying to help me. They were ACTIVELY typing over my Facebook account. Even Admins dont do that. Do i have a brain.....Holy crap

The Confederacy of Beastland: Bro, don't send identifying information, even if it's your own.

Also, (1) no, I don't have a FB account. Haven't for close to a decade now. I am mostly divested of social media, I only have a couple that I use with any regularity.

(2) If this is some interpersonal beef between you and some girl, then I am sorry, man, I don't want to be involved in that. It would be better for you to ask a mutual acquaintance to do that.

(3) You don't have to take my advice, but my opinion is this: generally, when people refuse to talk to you, there is some reason why not. Even if they really are giving you the silent treatment, unless there is some truly vital information either you or they need to know, there is no reason to go out of your way to open communication. Once you make it clear that you're available to talk, it will be entirely on them to break silence when they can and want to.

I recommend taking some time to calm down, write down the important points you want conveyed to them, organize them clearly and briefly, and say that you're not going to try and contact them after this particular message, and then abide by that statement. And for heaven's sake, don't insult them in the process.

If you're worried about an account being soft-hacked (they convinced you illicitly to give them your account password), the best thing you can do is, as soon as possible, log in to your account and change the password to something long, secure, and distinct from your old password. With good speed, you can pretty much prevent their future illicit logins that way.
