Dear Lord, I give to you all the members of my family. You know them all so well and love them all too. Lord, I ask that you would cover us with a shower of hope.

Father, a hope that draws us together to work out our differences, and that helps us to celebrate together and care for one another.
A hope that rides like a banner in our lives and watches over us wherever we may go.
A hope that overcomes adversity and gathers strength to overcome.
A hope that guides us and gives us a vision for our future alone and together.
Lord give us hope filled with love, and which fuels faith.
A hope that breathes peace.

May our family live in You
Underneath your promises.
Amen.

Sorry for the inactivity. I had some drama with a stupid girl. I also asked a new girl if she wanted my number roday 0and she said "umm no, thanks". After walking for a second, before parting ways, I said "That's good." And a professor or some old dude behind me smiled. I think the first girl REPORTED me on Messenger but I cant figure out why. She isn't gonna be using me again. She keeps coming back. Not this time. Giving me the silent treatment.....

Western Mars, what's you take on the revised section on the death penalty in the catechism? Assuming you have one.

This girl tried to be a teacher's pet (One point is a lot in this dude's class) and we have a one-point assignment. I usually divide it up so we each do 1 problem, me doing the most difficult. She did ALL THE WRONG PROBLEMS. Maybe on purpose, I don't know. And it has to be an essay too. I am gonna be pissed if I have to write an essay for our 3-person group. They don't do any citations or anything either: total BS.

He told us yesterday "Don't think that just because I gave you 1/1 on the past assignments that means I am going to give you a 1/1 on the last two" in his Indian accent. He went on to say that he's seen people not format correctly and stuff, which we do, thanks to myself (Except ONE thing). He then said, "Some of you are even forgetting who your professor is". My name was at the top of all their names and I think in APA format your professor's name is at the top..... I am gonna be super mad if they don't get back to me. I may as well be the professor. I am panicking.

I wasn't aware it had been revised. I shall have to look into the matter.

I hereby suspend the Firstmonth selection.

My managing organizational behavior professor implied he would not fail me. I am right at like 71 percent and it is gonna go down. But I think he made a trap..... The Thursday before the last Thursday, he said "Youre gonna get 10 points of extra credit just for showing up to class" to everyone. He then gave me a dude to bargain with in what he said was a fun end of the semester thing. So he set me up with someone he knew would not like me. I honestly just told the dude "Can we just say we settled on....". When we got back, he mentioned it was an ESSAY that we had to write on our conversation that was worth 10 points. I think he saw my face because he said in my direction "Do your homework." It freaked me out.b

It may technically be academic dishonesty for me to write about it. We did "bargain" but I didn't write it down (if he does the extra credit too our stories may not match up, but I HAVE TO DO THE EXTRA CREDIT because I am write at a C-) but I sort of made up the numbers in the range...I am just freaking out.

He also grinned when (I think) he heard me saying to the dude next to me, "Who is that guy?" in a sort of scared tone of voice. I said "He walked in your direction" and he said "No he is friends with [name] who was sitting near us". The professor said again, "Do your homework". He purposely set us up (or at least me up) with people we don't know and may not get along with.....He also knows the REAL reason we reached "no deal" was because we didn't actually talk much probably..... He is ALSO friends with my Business Ethics teacher, and I SORT OF cheated on his quiz. He found a way to trick us: he puts very similar questions to those in Quizlet or similar sites (I am gonna take advantage of internet resources if others do, and they basically all do: not really cheating in my opinion because he said "open source", but nonetheless shows that I didn't "do my homework"). There was a trick question on one of our questions where he warned "This question is worth 2 points". The problem was something like "Which of the following is NOT an issue faced by blacks in...[some place a long time ago]?" I looked everywhere and I couldn't find "credit". I ALSO couldnt find "internet". I knew it was one of the 2. Online I looked it up and it said credit so that was my best guess. It turns out, "internet" was the answer, and that makes sense because the World Wide Web hadnt been established (the thing is, I also didnt know if the "INTERNET" itself had been established). Turns out, it was a funny trick question and the answer was "The internet" because he knows if we put "credit" we may have looked it up. The thing is, I went through my notes/the book and couldnt find anything about credit OR the internet. So it was an unfair question I think.

I can't always follow these streams of consciousness, but as someone who instructs college students you, in general, are thinking way too hard about this stuff, as if all your professors and the other students constantly in some kind of conspiracy against you. A lot of times instructors know little besides a student's name, let alone are they purposefully messing with you, talking about you, grinning at you knowingly. As for groups, it's very normal to mix them up so students don't always work with the same people or their friends and can get to know each other better: I do the same thing. Do your work, be charitable and respectful, that's basically all you ever need to pass a class, unless its advanced mathematics or something.

He knows my name. He actually invited me to his office. I am worried it was a trap.....He asked who all my professors were, etc. He said he wouldn't fail me. But that depends on feedback of other professors potentially. Maybe thats why he asked. Because he knows for instance my Business Ethics teacher who had those trick questions. Though we had short conversations about cool things I found on the internet before he sort of escorted me out of his office.

I realize he may not have had any ill intentions, idk. I talked to him while leaving class, and I think he finds it unusual that I call him "Doctor [last name]". He said, in response to my secret that I use cammabis, "No, no, that's not healthy" because he is a doctor

I have to do a speech on how to improve "an organization or business" we have worked for. He split up our group for the FINAL PRESENTATION because they wouldnt work. And I am fine with it. But we still have 2 more assignments and theyre not helping: I dont want them taking credit for my work and he wants 2 more professional essays as 1 point assignments before his 20 pt individual essay and the presentation. 1 point is a lot for him. And he also wants to know I'm trying. I can definitely use him as a reference too. He asked if I would become a CPA and told me he would he "keeping up with" me the next several years. In other words, he is passing me for my personality (what he sees as potential and hard work ethic). Right now I am at 71 percent in his class. It is super hard for me.

He said "No one is dying" when I mentioned my health insurance and how I needed to pass his class

He implied it's okay if I do a speech about a personal experience when I was reported for something and he said "No I dont want to steal your thunder" whatever that means. I think he has already decided to pass me for the speech I THINK (because my group abandoned me) and because he knows it's hard for me to speak.

My business ethics teacher said he shared some of my essays with other professors. (They are friends)

Somehow everyone knows me and I dont know anyone. I'm popular for the first time in my life.

*it is a small university, not fancy or anything

Well, personally, I don't agree with the premise that capital punishment necessarily violates the dignity of human life; but otherwise it seems well-reasoned and consistent with immediately prior doctrine, and if there are any societies in history which have technologically or societally (?) advanced to a level of complexity, justice, and/or population such that they can easily survive without using the death penalty, ours probably number among them. In the USA, for example, where it's basically impossible to execute anyone anyway, I'm guessing the effect on crime would probably be nil.

I would broadly agree with your take.

While it's true that our society can survive without the death penalty and that in the USA, in the present criminal justice system, there is no justification for executing anyone for many reasons, I do think that more pastoral/theological thought ought to be put into the reasonableness/morality of executing people in two ways. First, there are some people who can otherwise continue to operate and commit crimes while in prison (gang leaders, drug lords, mafia), so in their cases putting them in prison doesn't actually nullify their harm on society. Heck there are some prison in Columbia and Ecuador and the like where those kinds of people run the prison and can essentially walk in and out as they please. Secondly, we should consider the problem that putting someone in many prisons, rather than 'rehabilitating' them or giving them time to have a turn of heart essentially encourages them to become more criminal. Oddly, execution might have had a better rate of redemption because "nothing clears a man's head more than the knowledge that tomorrow he will be hanged."

Loving God,
Help us remember the birth of Jesus,
that we may share in the song of the angels,
the gladness of the shepherds, and worship of the wise men.
Close the door of hate and open the door of love all over the world.
Let kindness come with every gift and good desires with every greeting.
Deliver us from evil by the blessing which Christ brings,
and teach us to be merry with clear hearts.
May the Christmas morning make us happy to be thy children,
and Christmas evening bring us to our beds with grateful thoughts,
forgiving and forgiven, for Jesus’ sake.
Amen.

The judicial branch needs to keep its filthy paws out of politics. The Colorado Supreme Court if you did not hear excluded Trump from the ballot. That would just be amazing if RFK Jr or another Democrat won Colorado though: RFK Jr may start campaigning there (It would make sense) a lot. Then, maybe just maybe no person would get the majority. Let RFK Jr take some swing states. And then Trump would win in the House I believe, when they vote "by quorum" or whatever. I hope this backfires.

Well, my semester is over and I will be less busy during the beginning of the coming semester (I hope....) My business ethics class and my Managing Organizational Behavior class were the hardest FOR ME. Memorizing terms is just hard for me: they asked me the "types of power" for instance and I couldnt remember at all. I believe the answers included "referent power", "expert power", etc looking back on it, which I actually dont remember EXACTLY what they are. That was a 5 point question. There was another on bargaining methods. These include compromise (obviously), competing, accomodating, and 2 others. But it is stupid because I GET the methods I just cant name them off the top of my head. A much better short answer question would be for him to give us the methods and have us define them. Somehow, he actually bumped my C- to a B- even though I failed the final ("You remind me of my son", going on to tell me how his son misbehaves and is going to the "gifted" school I went to. Him and his friend--the Business ethics professor--caught me cheating. They somehow tricked me changing the questions slightly than those on Quizlet and I used the Quizlet answers which were similar..He asked if I would use AI next time. But I think he felt bad because the dude ended up using my discussion board post as a question on his next quiz: I wrote the question so I couldnt do it wrong).

The actual accounting classes are much easier. A process. I found financial accounting fun.

I actually have no idea about what the Colorado Supreme Court decision is about. I know the broadest details, but frankly, it seems like a rare issue where I am actually not sure which side I am on. Flabbergasting turn of events.

Merry Christmas everyone

Merry Christmas.
