LUKOMZAAAA! THOUGHT THIS REGION WAS MULTI-CULTURAAAALLL! COME ON, GUY! MAYBE SIERRANS ARE ALL HUSH HUSH IN PUBLIC, SHOWING HUMBLENESS IN FACE OF POWERFUL GROUPS, SO ON SO FORTH, BUT NEW AZA WEAR ITS METAPHORICAL HEART ON ITS EQUALLY METAPHORICAL SLEEVE! AFTER ALL, IF WE ARE NOT ALLOWED TO DRUNKENLY HOWL WITH GLEE INTO THE DEAD OF NORTHEAST SLUM WITH NOTHING BUT THE FADING WARMTH OF A ROTTING DIVE BAR IN OUR CHEST AS WE WANDER INTO COLD CITY, PHONE BATTERY DEAD AND TWENTY GREENBACK IN OUR POCKET, THEN WHAT ARE WE, AH? SOCIALISTS?
SURE, P.R. MAY NOT BE OUR STRONGEST SUIT, BUT SINCE WHEN DID SUITS NEED TO BE STRONG, ANYWAY? THEY ARE JUST SUITS, SILLY! CLOTH!
Which is one of the reasons why Sierrans are nudists.
ummm..... From the little bit of this that makes sense, you are correct.
Welcome! I hope you enjoy your stay in this region.

Interesting.
Trump quickly addressed the problem of international travel while his opponents cried racism and would have allowed the epidemic super highway of commercial flight do its work.
The funding and regulatory mechanisms Trump manipulated to streamline vaccine production would also have been largely overlooked, as well as one of the more important aspects of battling illness, tracing its source.
Trump allowed Fauci and friends to prosecute their campaign of fear and lock down American society to an extent that irrevocably destroyed the social and financial cohesion of many lives including children who are now years behind in irretrievable development and education.
As we are finding out from more objective voices of reason that were mercilessly scrubbed from social media for the last two years, the mitigation campaign championed by Fauci was significantly more detrimental than beneficial, and if you are faulting Trump for not being in the bandstand with the rest trumpeting the "Captain Trips" narrative that was built up around an illness less than one percent mortal, and had me wondering sometimes if I was watching MSNBC or an episode of "The Stand", well, we will just have to agree to disagree that one voice in the wilderness not gibbering in counterfeit terror was actually a relief.
We habitually give our presidents either too much, or too little credit for the bit of hands on guidance they give to an enormous machine that mostly rolls along its own way regardless, and for my part, I believe Trump did right by us where he had his fingers on a few key pulses.
Meanwhile, the guy who gave two US presidents the finger and helped fund and research the problem to start with gets an honorary doctorate in sciences from the University of Michigan.

Wow, The-CID, I guess you're just the chopped liver, eh? Haha
To clarify, I am merely the WA Delegate. The-CID is our Founder.

Now to the globalist narrative, which narrative is that? If he had said, "listen, I don't know how dangerous COVID-19 is going to be, maybe it's nothing, but we're not gonna take that chance. We're still studying the effectiveness of the masks, but as a good precaution, wear a mask when you're around other people." Et cetera, et cetera. Don't you think that could've won over some voters?
I grant you, that I did not give him enough credit, but my post was not that nuanced or in depth, merely a fun thought experiment. But on the other hand, what he and his administration did, especially behind the scenes, would often contradict the things he said to the public eye. He needed to visibly take the coronavirus more seriously.

What's wrong with globalism?
Well first off, history has adequately demonstrated that we totally suck at managing macro-societies, and current events do not bear out any evidence of significant improvement to come.
The more humanity you try to hold under one universal standard, the more f-cked up the human condition becomes.
One person's mistake with their life is easier to bear and make up for than one person's mistake with a billion lives.
We are the only creature on this planet perverse enough to believe that a single alpha should rule every pack on the globe.
I think that problem is more to do with corruption as a whole, as opposed to a massive government. You can have a small government, in a small country, and still have the whole nation operate as a desolate wasteland. Size of the government doesn't mean much compared to how efficient it is. I do agree though, organizations like the United Nations are currently being a massive let-down. I do not believe the concept of globalism is a dream to be abandoned though.
A pipe dream at best that will either inaugurate, or rapidly develop into the most terrible dystopia experienced by humanity.
Corruption becomes inherent and self-perpetuating once you reach certain population levels.
As little as a 1,000 to 10,000 people can generate enough administrative entropy to make governance self-defeating and exponentially more wasteful as it expands.
The breakdown is more pronounced at the national level where most treasuries are not held to a zero sum standard of accounting.
Where there is no objective metric of affordability, there is little in the way of quality control.
You cannot feed others if you are not feeding yourself more so as to have extra resources to spare, and there is no collective shortcut around that.
One of the first American colonies nearly starved itself to death figuring that out the hard way.
