I think that problem is more to do with corruption as a whole, as opposed to a massive government. You can have a small government, in a small country, and still have the whole nation operate as a desolate wasteland. Size of the government doesn't mean much compared to how efficient it is. I do agree though, organizations like the United Nations are currently being a massive let-down. I do not believe the concept of globalism is a dream to be abandoned though.
