The Queendom of Natlan is a huge, safe nation, renowned for its compulsory military service, punitive income tax rates, and devotion to social welfare. The devout population of 728 million Natlanians are fiercely patriotic and enjoy great social equality; they tend to view other, more capitalist countries as somewhat immoral and corrupt.

The large, socially-minded government juggles the competing demands of Welfare, Spirituality, and Education. The average income tax rate is 60.1%, and even higher for the wealthy.

The sizeable but sluggish Natlanian economy, worth 16.5 trillion moras a year, is driven entirely by a combination of government and state-owned industry, with private enterprise illegal. The industrial sector is led by the Trout Farming industry, with significant contributions from Cheese Exports, Woodchip Exports, and Pizza Delivery. Average income is 22,723 moras, and distributed extremely evenly, with practically no difference between the richest and poorest citizens.

Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown, thanks to a capable police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Natlan's national animal is the Saurian, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests.

Natlan is ranked 144,663^rd in the world and 7,665^th in Lazarus for Most Eco-Friendly Governments, scoring 448.98 on the Dolphin Recycling Awareness Index.
