Found this in my old game intel files from June 19, 2012:

Goauld System Lords was originally founded in September of 2005. It CTEd in October 2005. Re-founded in October of 2007, the region continued until March 2008. Sadly, my histories do not indicate who the founders of these earliest region incarnations were but I do know there were no native delegates.
The region was re-re-founded in Septemebr 2011 by Lord Anubis King of All. This region incarnation lasted until January 2012. It was during this incarnation that Startgate and GSL exchanged embassies. According to Stargate History as of the current date (20120619), "276 days ago: Embassy established between Goauld System Lords and Stargate." This embassy was closed about 100 days ago ... probably after an invasion of the region. Again, according to Stargate History, "173 days ago: Embassy cancelled between Goauld System Lords and Stargate."
This most recent expression of GSL was founded in April 2012 by System Lord Apophis. With his passing, the region was raided about a month ago and successfully defended a day later. The region has seen a succession of raids for the past several weeks leading us to the current dilemma.
It is hoped that this brief historical review will demonstrate the once close connection between Stargate and GSL.
