Today is the birthday of the Holy Father, Pope Francis. Let us pray for His Holiness, specially for his health, so the Lord may protect him from evil and guide him to preach and defend his word around the globe.

Loving God,
Help us remember the birth of Jesus,
that we may share in the song of the angels,
the gladness of the shepherds, and worship of the wise men.
Close the door of hate and open the door of love all over the world.
Let kindness come with every gift and good desires with every greeting.
Deliver us from evil by the blessing which Christ brings,
and teach us to be merry with clear hearts.
May the Christmas morning make us happy to be thy children,
and Christmas evening bring us to our beds with grateful thoughts,
forgiving and forgiven, for Jesus’ sake.
Amen.

guys, I was just curious if there are also others amongst you all that have a own national rite of Liturgy, like example, in Insulusian Catholicism we have the Insulusian rite, we have a mass that looks like the Latin Mass, Sign of the cross that is same with the eastern Christians, Vestments that is mix of Latin and Byzantine rite, and etc

I'd say that in Eponia in general, the rite is basically the Roman rite in ordinary form, though extraordinary form is also used. The exception being in the region of "Campos do Oeste" ("Western Fields"), composed mainly of the province of Santa Joana. Considering it once belonged to an orthodox nation, with the population and churches there being converted to Roman Catholicism, the rite used is the Coptic Rite, including its use of sub liturgies through the liturgical year (Saint Basil's, Saint Cyril's and Saint Gregory 's).

I hate to go back to the old line, but it's complicated, in as much as books (like the Bible) are as much law books as religious books. The first five books are known as the "law" (Torah). Now Christians, for a variety of complicated reasons, are not bound by the hundreds of mitzvahs in the Torah, so as I say, it's complicated.

More importantly, what law and whose law? I like to call this the multiple fonts of government. You have the church, wherein comes the canon law. You have the state, wherein comes the civil law. You have other organizations (like guilds) who also have their own laws. Now canon law might reference religious text but not exclusively. Civil law, less so. In fact, it can exclusively rely on "natural law" which is somewhat vague and while it might be reflected in religious texts, is not direct quotes of them. As for guild law, well the difference between a knife and a sword (yes that was a real thing, and Germans have swords with knife handles because that was the only way the knife guilds could profit on the market for personal protection) is clearly not based on any passage of a sacred text.

May God make your year a happy one!
Not by shielding us from all sorrows and pain,
But by strengthening us to bear it, as it comes;
Not by making our path easy,
But by making us sturdy to travel any path;
Not by taking hardships from us,
But by taking fear from our heart;
Not by granting us unbroken sunshine,
But by keeping our face bright, even in the shadows;
Not by making our life always pleasant,
But by showing us when people and their causes need us most,
and by making us anxious to be there to help.
God's love, peace, hope and joy to us for the year ahead.
Amen.

Happy Feast of the Holy Family. Pray for us.
