CATALONIAN FEDERAL ASSEMBLY APPROVES MOTION TO SUPPORT SOCIALIST REBELS IN AMERICA

With bi-partisan support from the Anarchists and Worker's Front, the FA passed a motion to officially offer support to the socialist rebels participating in the American civil war. They have announced arms shipments to Detroit and socialist controlled states on the Great Lakes, along with over 50,000 volunteers who formed the Catalan International Brigade who will be directly aiding the rebels in combat. The International Brigade consists of members of the Red Guards, members of the reserves of the Catalan military and active members of trade union paramilitary wings of the CUW and ICCT. They will be shipping out of Barcelona by next week and the Catalan government has thrown its full support behind them. They have also announced support to First Nations rebels wishing to separate from the US, however they have not committed any arms or funding for that faction.

The Catalan National Alliance was unanimously opposed to the motion, stating that they will be opposing any sort of foreign interventionism and the outsourcing of Catalans to fight foreign wars, and that the government should be focusing on domestic issues and uniting the Països Catalans first. The NACW will be staging a general strike in opposition to the motion and they will attempt to block the ships from leaving the ports, prompting the federal government to announce a temporary ban on party operations and demonstrations. This may cause an internal crisis to emerge in the Popular Front and among Catalan trade unions.

Hmm, there is a large Dutch population in the Northeast, and hell, even Catalonia got involved, so maybe I could do something to support the Federalists.

A good maybe 70-75% percent were split between the Federalists and the Constitutionalists. The Socialists only have access to the Great Lakes, so they don't have many ships. A good 15% likely went to the Confeds and the remaining 10% or so likely joined the Socialists. But point is, the vast majority of them either wound up in New York Harbor or San Francisco Harbor.

If the French invade into the Caribbean, more than likely to keep American influence still intact while in civil war is to form legions a part of a Preservation Force.

Whoever wins will integrate the Preservation Force into the country.

I say this because 1. Monroe Doctrine, and 2. the Americas should remain independent.

WYDOBYCIE ZŁOTA W NOWEJ KURLANDII

Two Latvian entrepreneurs discovering gold veins in the northern parts of New Courland would send the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth into its own little gold rush. Down on their luck, Russians, Ukrainians, Jews, and Baltic residents would scrape together enough money to take a boat to New Courland and hopefully strike it rich and find their own gold mines in the nation. Those who didn't strike it rich and were stuck in the African land would either bring their trades to Fort Alexander or the surrounding mining towns, or be condemned to work in the gold mines they thought would bring them much wealth.

Those who would establish mines would receive funding from the government to help get their mines up and running. Most of the mines paid terrible wages for long hours of torturous work, with most of the miners being native Africans from the Gambia River and surrounding communities. They usually lived in company owned mining towns where they had their own housing for themselves and their families as long as they worked for the gold mine. Some of these company mining towns would expand beyond that point and become semi-incorporated villages within New Courland, helping to move people further into the colony and away from just the coast and the banks of the Gambia River.

This event would be called "New Courland Gold Fever" and would bring approximately 1,320 Commonwealth citizens to the African colony. This would help grow the colony and show future possibilities to expand Poland-Lithuania's African endeavors. Secondly, it would begin the incorporation of Africans into the Commonwealth, as those who would work would now have to be documented citizens of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth. Although, to most, they are still considered a class of people who shouldn't be considered citizens of the Commonwealth at all.
