My main problem with it is that it's an absolute cesspool and breeding ground for right-wing conspiracies and 13-year-olds who think they're funny. And if you have seen my posts, you'll know those are the top two groups that I absolutely despise.
short form content is single handedly ruining the new generation. I know I sound like a boomer but it is literally the worst possible thing to expose yourself to at a young age. At least with youtube and netflix it's like 10-30 minute long videos, with short form content you're bombarded with literally hundreds of second long videos every day if you use it for 1-2 hours per day, which is the average time spent on short form content like YT shorts, insta reels, tiktok etc.
This is the reason our average attention span has death spiraled in the last four years. Thanks biden!!!!!
Since its creation I knew it wasn’t going to be my favorite app, so I avoided it. I was right once it started to become more and more popular, even though short form content can be pretty good (I am saying this as someone who watches YT Shorts).
