Political News
The Election cycle gripped 10KI for most of September. The Election centered around the election of a new Delegate and two Senators.
Kuriko and Dominion of Compassion, both longtime Islanders, announced candidacy for Delegate with Kuriko ultimately winning with 69.05% of the vote.
For Senator of New Republica South Jabberwocky announced their bid for a second term. Sargon Reman initially announced their candidacy but soon withdrew their name and ran for the other Senate seat of Blue Canaria North, due to the fact that it was discovered that incumbent Kozmix had left for RL reasons. Both are in the same political party.
Jabberwocky and Reman both were elected unopposed with 89% of votes cast for each.
Around the Islands
-Paffnia was awarded the Heart of the Islands Award for years of hard work in the civil service.
- Kuriko's resolution, SC Resolution #262: Commend Frattastan II, has passed.
- The XKI University has a new Dean and Deputy Dean, Palman and Sargon reman respectively.
- The Council has passed NS 280-1: Re-examination of the Banning of Land filled with People 4-0, with 4 delegations to the Chief Executive's prerogative and 1 vacancy. Chief Executive Woonsocket has accepted the Council's recommendation and unbanned him. The nominee is a known member of the defender community.
- XKI did very well in the annual N-Day nuclear event, with our faction STIFF-ARM placing high in the rankings. We would like to thank our nuclear allies in The Union of Democratic States and The Hole To Hide In, as well as others, for an amazing job during the event. Without them, XKI would not have made 5th overall!
- The Council passed NS 280-3: Force Embassy Request 8-0, with 1 vacancy.
-The Council passed NS 280-2: House Protection Act Repeal 8-0, with 1 vacancy.
Military News
Three TITO knights were promoted!
-First one up is Sir Kortexia! Our beloved Tactical Officer who also keeps our much beloved Discord Bot running. He has been promoted to TITO Knight Armada Commander and was awarded the Knight Armada Commander Medal!
-Second one up is Sir Kanta Hame! Sir Kanta Hame is the longest serving Tactical Officer currently on Command, serving since 2015. He has been promoted to TITO Knight Armada Commander and was awarded the Knight Armada Commander Medal!
-Third one up is Sir Flemingisa! Sadly, Sir Flemingisa had to step down from game related activities and therefore was not present to receive his medal. He has been promoted to TITO Knight Commander and was awarded the Knight Commander Medal!
- TITO also welcomed back former member Hahiha / USSR.
- TITO also extends a warm welcome to new members Silpes and Lyreste

Zelfs al heeft May een 'deal' met de EU, en zelfs al slaagt ze erin haar regering drijvende te houden, waar kan ze een meerderheid vinden om het door het parlement krijgen (en zelfs dat is nog de finish niet)? Ik zie hen eerder somber in. Voor de ene is te hard, voor de andere te soft, of te dit, of te dat..
Ze weten nog altijd niet wat ze willen. Is nochtans simpel: Ofwel erin, ofwel eruit (met deal of zonder). Je bent deel van de club of niet. Zoniet, bestaan er verschillende manieren om daarmee om te gaan (vrijhandelsakkoord of relatie à la Noorwegen, zwitserland, canada,,...), maar er bestaat geen enkel waarbij je van de voordelen kan blijven genieten of meebeslissen zonder een steentje bij te dragen of te voldoen aan dezelfde regels. Dat is common sense. Het is ook niet mogelijk tegelijk uw grenzen te sluiten maar wel de grens met Ierland open te houden om de goede vrijdagakkoorden niet in gedrang te brengen. De katholieken in N-Ierland willen geen grenzen tussen hen en de republiek Ierland/EU, en de protestanten (incl de DUP die May steunt) willen niets horen van enig uitzonderingsstatuut omdat dit hen minder 'Brits' zou maken. De Schotten zijn tegen de deal, maar dan omdat ze anti-Brexit zijn, wat misschien wel tot een 2e referendum kan leiden (niet over de Brexit, maar over een Scotxit uit het VK). Multiculturele grootstad London was pro-EU, terwijl de countryside (aka de boerebuiten) vermoedelijk nog nostalgie heeft naar het Britse Rijk van de 19e eeuw toen de wereld nog veel simpelder was.
Erg verenigd is hun koninkrijk niet meer. En al de polarisatie, desinformatie, en anti-politiek helpen niet.
Als ze eruit willen stappen, zonder deal, het zij zo. Ze moeten het maar zelf weten. Brexit is (economisch) slecht voor beide partijen. Maar zij hebben ons meer nodig, dan wij hen (ook al beweren zij hetzelfde). De extra invoer/uitvoerkosten en administratieve rompslomp en controles zijn een nadeel voor de Britse bedrijven. Wij hebben wel nog altijd Frankrijk, Italië, Duitsland,.. om mee te handelen, zij moeten het in hun eentje rooien. Ook al verlagen het VK zijn belastingen, en sluiten ze handelsverdragen met de VS of gelijk wie.. die andere (verre) landen gaan nooit opvangen.

Political News
The Senate seats of Himes West and Lyonnesse East both were up for election this November.
New Ecopia ran unopposed for Himes West on a agenda of reinvigorating the 10KI Casino, while Louisistan ran unopposed for Lyonnesse East on the basis of implementing the House Shield Competition that is the responsibility of the Senate seat.
Both eventually won but New Ecopia had to immediately vacate the Senate due to his appointment to the post of Minister of Immigration because Lethoica ceased to exist. Chief Executive Woonsocket thus appointed Siuts back to the position of Himes West temporarily until the next election is held in January 2019. The Himes West seat will then be held as a special election in January with Blue Canaria North and New Republica South. Meanwhile Jabberwocky was upgraded to Senior Senator in place of Siuts since the latter's reappointment.

En hier is een bericht van 10000 Islands die al meer dan een week geleden was geschreven maar door persoonlijke omstandigheden heb ik niet de gelegenheid gehad om het bericht door aan jullie te geven. Mijn excuses hiervoor.
While no military deployment of TITO against the NPO is forthcoming, the Council of Nine would like to publicly denounce the NPO and their operations to undermine and destabilize other Game Created Regions throughout NS. Such actions taken against lawful governments are not to be tolerated, and is a betrayal of the trust bestowed in the NPO after their apologies for other such past operations. These egregious acts over the last couple of years not only hurt the regions the NPO targeted, but also hurt relations between their targets and regions those targets were friendly with. Due to NPO interference in Lazarus in 2017 which destabilized the region and ultimately lead to LWU couping the region for their own interests the 10000 Islands lost relations with a region we were friendly with, and that act alone is enough to poison the NPO in the eyes of the Council of Nine.
Therefore, with the utmost sincerity, the Council of Nine and the 10000 Islands condemns the New Pacific Order and their actions within TNP, Osiris, Lazarus, and TSP. While we do not have diplomatic relations with the New Pacific Order at this time, we can state that until further notice The Pacific will not have diplomatic relations with 10000 Islands nor will they have military assistance from TITO. 10000 Islands is adopting a neutral stance within the current war being waged upon both sides, as we will work with neither side to help them in their confrontation.
