Places an elaborate formicid waste management system in the RMB.

Oh wait, you don't want thorough ant sewers... Gah! They're everywhere! *swats at angry ants* Why did I even have this on standby?!

Your nation's R&D and my nation's Sparks and other Mad Scientists need to start collaberating. Who knows what terrifying affront to nature and science tbey could come up with.😁

Btw if you're still having ant problems, might I intrest you in a couple of herds of Wooly Minmoths. These spool of thread sized little Buggers were created in a Palentine Spark's lab for God knows what purpose. The furry buggers got loose and started breeding like rats. Now they have displaced the mouse and rat in the eco-system. Apart from being hell on ferns and peanut plants, the little buggers consider ants a delicacy.

Well of course Krio is the most influential in the AO. Everybody loves Krio. Even the nations in the Festering Snakepit, and that wretched hive of scum and villiany known as the Security Council who hate this region love Krio.😉😁

It's why we keep Krio on a leash. It's a very long leash so they do not really notice it, but by keeping them tethered, the international powers won't dare to launch a military offensive for fear of harming them. Krio's our beloved, little insurance policy.

Gah! Not In-Sewer-Ants Policy! Oh no!

And the hashtag didn't even come from me! It just happened to be trending on social media that day. He is obviously a very powerful (and previously overlooked) asset.

Congrats Exxosia for having the largest retail sector in the AO. Not a surprise really since your nation's infomercial pitchman seems to combine the loudness of Billy Mays and the creepiness factor of Vince the Sham Wow Guy.😁

....and Exxosia is at the top of the rankings again here in the AO as the Most Avoided Nation of the region. Thats quite a feat considering the region's inhabitants.😜😁

Curse you Exxosia! One day that coveted spot will be mine!😉

Geez, what the heck happened to all the fun and quirky regions? I disappeared for a couple of years, came back, and discovered that the world is now populated by super regions, card farms, puppet dumps, and jump points. To check that I wasn't fondly misremembering the past, I went to the Wayback Machine. The number of WA members (a good proxy for the number of active players) is about the same as it's always been, but there's been a ~40% decline in regions with WA delegates (a good proxy for the number of active regions). Then, I checked the old world census, and the regions were definitely much funn(i)er and niche back then.

If the number of active players has stayed roughly the same but the number of active regions has almost halved, what does that say? Has the game's infrastructure fundamentally changed, or are teens nowadays somehow less bohemian than they used to be?

* EDIT: C'mon, man. Back in the day, large-region WA delegates had nation names like Drop Your Pants, Durkadurkiranistan, and Skizzy Lizzy. Today's major delegates have names like North East Somerset.

This is CD by the way. Catholic went anti-WA, I moved my WA membership to CA (an alter ego that I previously used on the old Invisionfree board for WA discussions), and Kenny's embassy posting privileges are way too restrictive (delegates and founders only = can't post here using CD).

I think it has to do with Murrayland. It creates a situation where scalped and bleeding, terrified tourists are traveling to and from the majority of the countries on the continent through Exxosia's less tolerable regions. Nobody wants to loiter in our wastelands and we're okay with that (Mostly because tourists make it into the major cities of Exxosia and just complain and whinge about *ahem* the Exxosian way of life...).

The biggest problem I have with the Festering Snakepit is the fun has been sucked out of it by many of the members. They seem to take themselves too seriously and are absolutely immune to sarcasm and snark. My nations usually are geared to play the straight man, like George Burns did for Gracie. I set up the joke and let someone else run with it.

I've even been called out by one or two nations for not treating the WA seriously and referring to it as a Festering Snakepit. Having to defend snark to a moron who doesn't get it kinda kills any fun. I'm trying to get back to at least being in the Stranger's Bar, though.

Teens and College Age are no longer encouraged to think for themselves. They are encouraged to follow the approved thought. The "bohemians" are hammered into compliance.

It essentially is apart from our region not having enough nations invested enough to be on the map. I think we'd need at least 50 to meet "massively."

He's in Osiris. Did he move there or did he CTE and just refound there?

Iron Felix wrote:He's in Osiris. Did he move there or did he CTE and just refound there?

I think he probably CTE'd.

I don't even think Phil knows Osiris is a raider region. I didn't.

Me either! :D

I wonder when did the raiders take over? That's the region almost every one of my CTEs end up when I reactivate them.
