Region: Barbaria

With a simple gesture and phrase; 'God Bless Berdune!' from the General, the confirmation has been made and the Marnies have made landfall, successfully avoiding any defensive intruments, the landing crew provide support while they maintain continual contact with air support, in the insurance that any enemy ambush would be noticed before engagement.

The soldiers breaching the outlining territory, have come under the realization that the new continent is nothing like their temperate home. A quick analysis surveys ahead of the company to have a broader degree of their surroundings using small drones.

The mission is to secure the peninsula and hold until reinforcements arrive to push further South. Their main objective is to cause as much damage as possible while avoiding any trouble with the civilians. "For Democracy"

Meanwhile, General Randall speaks privately with his closet subordinates.

SIC:

"This is my opportunity to shine, gentlemen. After this victory I am surely going to be sponsored to run for the Presidency. This is the most probable approach to securing my place in the world. These men must not die in vain, once I secure the desired territory, I will gain the current President's trust, and convince him to use nuclear warheads on this pile of dirt, and there is nothing more than what the Berdunes want is a hero, destroying the enemy by the nukes that they are taxed for..."

General Randall is a renown military strategist for the United States. Known to be very aggressive, he has yet to failed a single battle in his career. This prized victory would secure his chances at being a recognized candidate for the upcoming elections. It is a make-or-break moment for him, so his ambitions have blinded him, regardless of the infamy he causes. He is famous for his socio-conservative ideology, Tabaco pipe, and patriotism.

"...Then once we get that pinko of a President out, we can finally return Berdune to its morals, I will not die knowing that this country is still being ran by a bunch of liberals. Socialists more like it, and you both know how I feel about socialists."

"Sir, yes sir!" both of the standing officers salute as a response.

General Randall makes his way to the command room where he answers a video conference call from the President himself.

"General Randall, it is a pleasure...what is [unheard muttering] oh...yeah how is the uh...mission?" President Piden introduces the conversation with a rigid thought process, and obvious symptoms of early dementia.

General Randall rolls his eyes and sighs. "President Piden. It is a pleasure, yes. You seem under the weather. Why don't you have Vice President Carris handle this like the rest of your business in the Oval Office, she has to do it all anyways..."

"Huh...what?" President Piden remarks as he tries to comprehend what the General said. Simultaneously, Vice President Carris moves the video conference to his perspective by shifting the position of the camera. "Yes, General. Be sure to report to us in 600 hours for another report."

The video conference ends.

"F**king pinkos." General Randall yells at the toke of his lungs as he switches over to a dart board with a picture of the hammer and sickle of the communist symbol. With already many darts struck into the near center of the image. The final dart hits right in the middle, "Soon, it will all be over."

Simultaneously, a second invasion was initiated 75-100 miles away from the first invasion force where the second, western pennisula begins.. A similar aggressive tactic was also being used, but this force was bigger force of slow-moving tanks and infantry, acting as a distraction from the main invasion force. This is an attempt to divide the defensive forces, create a gap where a third invasion force will use to pierce the interior of the continent. The third force will be faster, but its forces are still mobile, making their way to the continent from an off-shore battle station.

OOC: You're new so you weren't here for a lot of important information but seeing as you put in all this work... And I see an opertunity for some Lemuria world building for me. You might not like this but what the hey.

IC: While Lemuria has been somewhat busy given the UTF Orbital Bombardment almost a month ago the highly centralized government has managed to deal with the situation over the past month and the bump in the road it posed is fading. Also despite the orbital bombardment the Lemurians still have their greatest defensive weapon for defending their homeland. The Berdune marines make landfall and see hardly any resistance. They continue their move inland. They see a barren landscape still recovering from the nuclear war of World War III against the Hyperboreans, Lemuria having served as the major battleground during that conflict, and while there are parts of the nation which have recovered through the help of technology and other areas weren't heavily impacted at all, this area is one of the number of regions which has yet to see any recovery efforts since King Ramtha's regime took power.

The Berdune marines make their ways inland across this wasteland receiving heavy doses of radiation. However after making their way inland they are engulfed by what looks like a sandstorm however the sand on the wind isn't like any of the soil around them but is instead black in color blocking the sun from view. As the "sand" begins to contact the marine's clothes and armor and weapons it is as if such materials begin to corrode even if it isn't made of metal. Eventually the infamous nanobot storm which is one of the banes of the UTF eats through their weapons and armor and clothes and begins eating away at their bodies. Within minutes a number of the marines have been reduced to what looks like black ash that is quickly swept up into the "sand" storm. If this hell couldn't get any worse the few remaining marines swear they see something moving around in the darkness of the storm. Then in a blur something rushes in grabbing one of the marines and dragging him off into the darkness, then another, and then another. It would seem that some unknown creatures of this wasteland are taking advantage of the Lemurian nanobot storm or perhaps have been released as a part of it.

While the marines that have made landfall are being eviscerated by the nanobot swarm and gods know what horrors are lurking within it the Berdune naval task force sees what looks like a black fog approaching on the horizon. As the fog comes into contact with the hulls of the various Berdune ships the metal begins to corrode and buckle. Then once in the heart of this darkness the Lemurian ships appear as if from nowhere. The Lemurian ghost fleet has arrived to once again drive away the lone Barbarians like they did when the Viking ships of the Greater Viking Empire sailed their ships too close to waters the Lemurians claimed as theirs. Once again there is but a small moment to retreat and prevent being devastated by the Lemurian defense.

General Randall and a handful of marines are able to escape the mainland with their lives with many of the surviving marines having gone insane by horrid abominations they saw dragging their comrades into the darkness.
