Wolfe looks onto the assorted group of pickup and light duty trucks he and Garrett had
procured.
“You think this will be enough?” Garrett asks.
“If it’s not they better bring me some ten ton trucks cause we’re gonna need them.” Wolfe
replies.
“Did you remember the forklifts?”
“Yes I remembered to get the forklifts. Without them this whole thing doesn’t work. What
would we do? Just pick up the whole pallet with a few guys and toss it in a bed?”
“Ok ok sorry I asked. Grouch much?”
“I’m not the one that forgot the cash in the car 4 damn times.”
“Like I said before. It’s easy to forget.”
“Whatever. Have all of our backup landed yet?”
“Ya, all but three. I pick them up later today. Should have everything together to start
making runs into the rebels soon. As long as they charted the transport from pier to us
we’ll be good.”
“Hey, did you ever get the locks and chains for the warehouse? Can’t have some hobos
wonder in here while we’re out.”
“I did. They’re in that box by the door. Oh look at the time. I’m gonna make a run to the
airport then pick up the last few trucks.”
“Alright, if you forget the cash again I’m eating your leftovers.”
“Don’t you dare touch my cheesecake. I will literally fight you.” Garret says as he walks
down the stairs to the main floor of the warehouse. Wolfe opens the communications
laptop and connects his satcom antenna. An “Encrypted connection made” icon pops up
in the bottom right. Wolfe opens the chat program and joins the operation channel.
“Finalizing our last vehicle purchase. Roster is all on the ground. Requesting confirmation
of deliveries.”
After a minute a PDF pops up. Wolfe prints it. It’s a delivery invoice from Howe Shipping.
Pickup date for tomorrow and delivery date for the day after at 0800 local time.
“They actually hired a local company to run this. Was not expecting that.” Wolfe thinks to
himself.
