It is mostly vapor, foolish expensive unsustainable things that do not and cannot do what is advertised. I believe we have hit the peak, and the bubble is bursting. It will not be something to worry about for too much longer. Model collapse is extant, and none of them were ever nearly as good as promised. The fact that they now will require an amount of training information several orders of magnitude bigger than the internet itself should tell you much. And just the impossible amounts of money and resources to do just a very basic thing poorly is rapidly going to catch up to the companies pushing this Hapsburg AI. In short, it is a tech bubble, not unlike NFTs, but somehow dumber.
