It is only sugary if one puts sugar in it. That can be regionally more popular in places, but it far from the the only option. I rarely sweeten either got or cold, though most of my hot tea these days is made from mushrooms.

oh, not usually. only a bit of milk in some black tea.

I've never heard of cold tea not being sugared. Never made my tea cold, always throw off my taste. Either way though, good conversation.

I find it useful to brew by the gallon using special tea bags. Start hot and let it steep for a long time, sometimes hours, in the receptacle about half filled. Remove the tea bag and fill the rest of the way and then chill. Works nicely I find.

what kind of music do you all listen to?

I will need to try that sometime, thank you for the idea!

Classical music.

I still use terrestrial radio for most of my random listening, I am required to do a great deal of driving, joys of rural living, and I switch between 5 or 6 stations. At home, odd stuff that catches my attention and occasionally I indulge in my fondness for musical theatre or other highly specific things.

Neveropolisian Friendship Delegation wrote:Do any of you happen to put sugar in your tea?

Never! I put a bit of milk in breakfast tea but that's it.

While it is still somewhat in the zeitgeist, does anyone here have any thoughts on Dune?

if Dune 2 weren't so long I'd give it a go, but I didn't really enjoy the first part

Part two is only 11 minutes longer than part one, and it is really just one big movie. And while part two move a lot faster since the exposition is taken care of, I do agree it is a big hunk of time to commit. However, if you go to the right type of theatre in the correct location you can get an amusingly suggestive popcorn bucket, so...

Also accepting thoughts on the books or previous media incarnations.

anybody have any plans for holy week? church and state aren't quite separated here, so it's a holiday for everyone, with no work nor classes and whatnot. it's a local tradition, apparently, to hold passion plays reënacting the passion of the christ. lots of people just take vacations, though.

Has anyone else received a lot of new banners in the past day? I'm wondering if they have released new ones which I qualified for already, or whether there has been changes to my country under my nose!

It was a fun little surprise, there were some changes to the banner system and new ones were released. There's a news item about it in... well, the news.

Here it is noted but not much of a big deal, a bank and postal holiday mostly. Though often there is some light family gathering and an exchange of cards and small gifts. This year it coincides with many of the various schools' Spring breaks, so that is adding more travel than it would usually see as a holiday. Nothing of note happening personally, but it is inadvertently shifting my weekly cinema going to a new location, which will be a fun little adventure.

The new issue of Wild Life is out. In this issue we ask: Where's Wallenburg?

AWOO!!! AWOO!!! AWOO!!!

This, is, Volkisch Spartaaaa...lamenting the rejection of embassies with The Community.

All the same, may the gods smile down upon all denizens of the Community and...if not at Thermopylae...then we shall see you all at Plataea!

that is one interesting region

I don't think we're missing out on anything

bless your heart.

I did feel a bit bad as I am a bit of an embassy collector, pretty sure it was the first time I've said no to one. But, yeah, just two nations, explicitly fascist, and who seem to want to become raiders ... no thank you indeed.

Anyone been up to anything interesting?
