I'm a successor now!

Thanks!

I mean, this will almost certainly never matter for anything since Testlandia is extremely unlikely to ever disappear or relinquish power, but it's still a ceremonial honor that I can now arrogantly lord over everyone.

Also, it turns out we can have multiple successors, rather than just one. So if both Testlandia and me cease to exist, Iron Fist Grizzlies will be the governor. Actually, the news post did imply that, but only in a subtle blink-and-you'll-miss-it way.

Is it possible to change the order of priority of the successors without outright removing and reappointing them?

Feedback: The notice I got on my notices page wasn't very helpful. It simply says "Testlandia modified your position as a Regional Officer in Testregionia." without mentioning what authorities were added or removed, nothing about successorship specifically. I had to look at the administration page and regional happenings to figure out what's going on.

Yes! The governor is able to re-order their successor list.

Puppet1 and Testocalania

Cool!

Another thing: I note that successor status isn't listed anywhere on the main page, even though regional officer titles, WA delegacy, and governorship are. For example, in the box at the top, Testlandia is listed as "Governor / <h1>Field Tester</h1>" (the game automatically giving both of the titles Testlandia holds), while I'm listed only as "Vice-Tester", with my successorship not mentioned anywhere. The only place to find successor status is on the administration page. Now, this might be desired behavior, since successors don't matter 99% of the time, but right now it's the only regional title that isn't easily visible, so I thought I'd ask about it.

Testlandia did CTE at least once, last year or a few years ago.

I think because its just another RO authority, it doesn't display anywhere on the region page, just like the fact you are a Polls Officer isn't displayed anywhere, and just wrapped up under your Vice-Tester role.

Good point!

What happens if someone who doesn't have any other regional officer authorities is given successor status, though?

It would depend on the name of the RO position, I believe. There is a default assignable one from the drop-down just named Successor that holds only the Successor authority, I have that on another nation: Bowzin in Unified Nations, if you want to look.

Indeed you do! Thanks for showing me.

Impersonating Testlandia, maybe?

Ocalatopia

So now I've randomly been given border control authority too? Not sure that's a good idea. It's the sort of power I might be tempted to abuse...

On which note, it seems that the uninformative "Testlandia modified your position as a Regional Officer in Testregionia." notification applies to all changes in regional officer authority, note just successorship. Again, it's the happenings feed that shows what actually happened. (Umm, no pun intended.) In which case I probably noticed this before at some point and just forgot?

Other feedback: I've noticed that frontiers have a "<region name> is a Frontier. New nations may be founded here." tagline, even if they're password-protected, which according to the FAQ (but not mentioned in the news post) prevents new nations from spawning there. Might want to add more accurate taglines so people don't get confused.

Just got a brilliant issue about piracy and the Ignore button was replaced with "ARR, T'DAVEY JONES' LOCKER WITH YE ALL!" It's moments like this that make this game so good lol

Hey Testlandia sorry for the ping, but what does it mean when it says a nation was founded in “antiquity” when I check the boneyard?

Puppet1 and Ocalatopia

It means that the nation was founded before the game starting tracking when nations were founded.

Just for me to help, I think it means that a country was found since the creation of NationStates.

No countries can have been founded before the creation of NationStates.

Hey I have a question. I just noticed that I'm using a different currency but I don't actually remember having edited or changed anything in the settings? I'm not trying to troll around or anything, this might probably boil down to just me having forgotten that I edited the name of the currency but I genuinely speaking don't remember editing or changing anything at all for some reason. Additionally I checked the logs as well and I found nothing. At least I most definitely do know and remember the fact that I was using "Kroner" and not "Krone" with an "r" at the end lol. Seems extremely weird.
