On the left, two colossal paintings stretched from the floor to roof, and to the right mirrored doors sat between the white and gold pillars. At the far end of the room, two seats were placed by the window, along with a rich walnut table, for the two to sit.

It had been 3 and a half months since the end of the Seven Hour War yet, the absolute carnage the war had wrought began to give way into large reconstruction and restructuring efforts as time passed on. The occupation of the "West African Territories" gave rise to a level of economic development the region could only ever dream of, though for those that rebelled, they would see a new level of absolute mercilessness. Power, Water, and other essential infrastructure was soon returned to a normal state post war and most government officials kept their jobs as interim workers under a transitional program which sought to designate each nation annexed into a new territory within the Omnic Republic. With Monrovia having suffered the worst attack out of all the major cities in the Seven Hour War, it did struggle in it's reconstruction efforts as tens of millions of refugee's were placed into massive camps surrounding the city as buildings were being repaired or rebuilt from the Kinetic Strike which landed outside of the city.
The executions of many political leaders soon followed after the end of the war as corruption was rooted out from various governments and military agencies. Within many trials, it was revealed that Civilian quality of life was sacrificed over military spending and that popular opposition against the League was mainly by those who wished to attempt dialogue with the Omnics. Though support for it was fairly large, the League governments had no qualms with false arrests and quick execution of those whom they labeled as traitors to humanity for wanting to open Dialogue with the Nigerian Successor State. Thousands were put on public trial and hundreds were executed during the occupation, their deaths being withheld from broadcast unlike how the League held them, as the Omnic government deemed such actions to be needlessly barbaric. Within 2 months, many civilians were able to return to their lives like normal as the Economic shift from their local currencies to the Omnic Credit was quick and seamless with only a few minor hiccups in some cities.
The Militaries of each annexed nation were reformed into national guards not unlike that of Nigera's National Defense Force. For some groups though, they attempted to continue fighting even after the war was over within the first weeks after the war but, by the end of the 2nd month, all resistance was effectively wiped out after reports of an Underground Bunker the Rebels used as their headquarters was infiltrated and destroyed by Omnic forces. All that remained of the Bunker was a quarry sized crater where the complex once was before it's scuttling. For many, the last hope of any internal opposition leading the charge against the Omnics was buried under that rubble, and the final steps towards incorporation were being done. There were still growing pains as many League citizens fought and even clashed with their android counterparts, though as the weeks rolled on and the mercy and compassion of the Omnic people shined more and more through the darkness of the ash from the war, the easier it was for the majority of people to embrace the Omnican way of life.
The Omnic Corporate Council proved to the world that it would not be deterred from making it's own moves in the name of self preservation and that despite being a smaller power in the game of Geopolitics, it more than made up for it in technological advancement and sheer overwhelming firepower within it's sector of the world. The Border Wall between Omnica and Latin occupied Algeria was one of the largest in the world, and one of the most heavily armed as well. It stretched across the entire Northern border region between the two nations and was armed with Turrets, air defense platforms, and checkpoints for anyone who wishes to enter from the North...but asides from the occasional lone wandering nomad, the border was always deathly silent. Yet the wall of metal stood bearing Omnic markings symbolizing that even though they were not hostile nor active, behind said walls was a powerful force that was to be respected and treaded carefully around.

"Any word on my brother?", Rictiovarus asked one of his councilors as he sat straight in a chair at his round table, one reminiscent of the one found in the capital. Rictiovarus wore a black suit of powered armour, a red cloth draped around its shoulder.
The councilor cleared his throat before speaking, the others all had their eyes on him.
"No your highness, only statements made by the Marshal Fernando de Solaris... his Imperial Majesty still hasn't been heard of for months on any note.
Rictiovarus looked around the table with a Stern expression on his face.
"It could be a coup your highness. We've been suspicious of this for the last few months I know.. but it's clear now that Solaris is acting without consent of his Majesty or anyone else-", another councilor spoke though he was cut off by Rictiovarus.
"The Andalusian sent our men into the East.. only to take us out. He made us look like cowards... ready my forces.. we march on the capital."
Outside of the city twenty-thousand men mustered and began their journey, south to the capital.
MADRID, 1 DAY LATER
"We've only been able to mobilize under half their forces, 9,000 at most, the Imperial Guard even refuses-.. no they don't even acknowledge our presence anymore.", they've just locked themselves in with the Emperor.", Senator Bari spoke to Marshal de Solaris as they walked down the halls of the Imperial Palace, towards the exit.
"We can still hold a defense. The walls of the Imperial Citadel can withstand any assault... if the man is actually willing to attack the city."
As they walked outside there'd be a large group of men, perhaps 12 all in power armour reminiscent of old plate armour while the one leading them wore armour more akin to a conquistador, his helm bearing a plume of red feathers. Around them are jeeps that they arrived in.
Solaris then smiled, scoffing.
"I take you're emissaries of Rictiovarus? Was the man too afraid to come here himself hm?", Solaris asked as soldiers stood guard, rifles at the ready.
The trooper stepped forward, taking off his helm and placing it in between himself and his arm, a sh*t-eating smirk.
"By the decree of the Rictiovarus Astraclades, Prince of the Blood and Lord of Castille... you are granted ONE DAY", the emissary then raised his finger.
"One day to summon the senate and welcome the arrival of Prince Rictiovarus. Your failure to comply will result in you being charged with the crime of treason. The same will go for any who take up arms in support for you. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!"
The emissaries then turned around, entering their vehicles and leaving... Solaris to say was nervous, he looked to the councilor.
"The men we have, get them ready for combat. We'll not be surrendering."
DAY LATER
When it came the next day.. the troops meant to protect the city did just that.. along the main road they prepared not for combat but with celebration. The sound of drums took the city as a massive convoy of tanks and vehicles entered the city, a topless car leading them, Prince Rictiovarus watching the crowds and soldiers... now he was driving towards the Imperial Citadel and the palace to protect his House and family's power.

With omnican militarization on the Border in Algeria the Army of Africa has been given orders to return the favour. Along the old main roads and cities leading into Omnica bases have begun to be erected. Though between all these towns and roads are smaller outposts. The outposts themselves aren't big, their only purpose being to alert the bigger bases of any incursion.
In total this has taken two divisons from the main forces of the army.
With this the Empire and senate President Fernando de Solaris has also denounced Omnica and their barbaric executions of former political leaders within the former conquered states.

Aral Sea Reclamation Initiative (ASRI) declared complete
The eighty-year project to restore the Aral Sea has been declared complete by Nursultan Khan I. The Khan of Khans has expressed pleasure that the Aral Sea, now regrown from its tiny remnant that still existed in the year 2000, has been restored to its full pre-Soviet size, and that both the Amu Darya and the Syr Darya rivers are flowing into the sea once again. Canals were dug through the desert to allow more watsr to flow directly into the sea from these two mighty rivers. River water can now be siphoned into the sea at will should it begin to shrink again. Dams have also been constructed at strategic locations. All of this was accomplished without a single loan from a single nation, which slowed down the work greatly but never stopped it.
The Khagan is happy with the results. He personally visited the new Aral Sea to inspect it recently, and declared that restoring the body of water was worth all of the cost and labor undertaken over the last 80 years, and not only because of the cultural significance of the Aral Sea. Now, new fisheries can be created in the sea and new farmlands can be cultivated along the canals. All of this will enlarge the economy and create new jobs.
This was the biggest project in the history of Central Asia. ASRI involved scientists, engineers, the local Karakalpak people, and foreign helpers.
The Aral Sea was a cradle of civilization. Karakalpaks and the people of Khiva and Khorezm used the sea for fishing and for agriculture. It was the economic and cultural gem of the region. Unfortunately, Russia didn’t seem to understand this. The Soviet Union destroyed the sea with various projects beginning in the 1920s. It had almost completely dried up by 2000. This was one of the most devastating natural disasters in history, and it contributed hugely to the economic stagnation of Central Asia in the late 1900s. This also created toxic salt storms that in turn lead to health problems. In 2000, only tiny slivers of the sea were left in Khiva and Alash. These were the West Aral Sea and the larger North Aral Sea. As former Minister of Agriculture under Musa Khan II, Nursultan Khan knew of the benefits of restoring the Aral Sea to its full former glory and greatly accelerated the project.

Islamic Movement of Ozbekiston finds new leader after pivotal airstrike
An airstrike on a "secret" bunker in Badakhshan, ordered by Nursultan Khan, has killed several Islamic Movement leaders, including self-designated Caliph Musa Al-Abdullah. Now, an Imam named Yusuf Abdullayev has been proclaimed the new Caliph by the mostly-underground group, which currently functions in Bukhara and Badakhshan.
Recently, a video surfaced online of Abdullayev giving a short acceptance speech in English and Arabic. Some people think that the "Abdullayev" here isn't Yusuf Abdullayev himself, but rather a body double. The speech went something like this:
"In the name of ALLAH, Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala, I am pleased to accept this nomination for Leader and Kalifa of the holiest of holy struggles. Under this new leadership, our Jihad will expand its horizons to Europe, to Iran, to China, and to Hindustan. God is Great!"
Abdullayev is now the most wanted man in the Oghuz-Karluk Khaganate. He has proclaimed interest in restoring the proto-state of Ozbekiston or O'zbekiston, an area directly controlled by IMO militia at its height in the late 2020s. He has also looked into restoring the Islamic Movement, East Turkistan branch that was destroyed and disbanded in 2031. The military is currently on the hunt for Abdullayev and has placed a hefty price on his head.
There is some suspicion that Abdullayev has actually been dead for years, but this had not been confirmed and is denied by the IMO.
The IMO wishes to abolish all forms of secular life in Central Asia and elsewhere, including alcohol and the Khaganate itself. It is the arch-enemy of the Basmachi movement and is comprised mostly of ethnic Uzbeks.

Marcus and Katianna sat at a table in the family library cards both in hand and on the table. On the table is also a set of scales and an ornate dagger. Around the two card players most of the other "children" of the Darkenhof family.
"Every day we put on a mask and hope we don't get outed. Does that expose that we're nasty, though," inquired Marcus.
"Don't know I doubt it," Katianna said in return.
before she picked up the ornate dagger and lazily cut it across two of the cards before the disappeared in a puff of smoke and, setting down a card with the name of Eldrich Horror. The picture of the card was mostly shadowed save for the eyes and some tentacles poking out of a hood. A gathering of oohs and groans filled around the table while Marcus stayed silent looking over both sides of the table. setting down a will-o-whips he then did the same but slashed across all three of his cards setting down The Silver Armor Golem. The golem was a massive image of a silver suite of armor a giant sword resting on the shoulder.
"Going to have to fight this one Kat you can't remove another eye to win this one," Marcus said and it was true Katianna had already removed her eye to win the last round of the game. It was against the rules to have a player go fully blind even if you had regeneration and the plyers where out of play right now for both of them.
"Can I fold then," Kat said with a frown her finger hovering over the set of scales.
"Be my guest there is no shame in losing," Marcus said shrugging.
At hearing this with a heavy sigh Kat set her finger to the scales and made the arrow point over on her side of the table.
