- THE MOON’S MINER’s
Mare Vaporum had long served as the heart of Helium-3 extraction on Luna, the small and scattered deposits acting as the main source of the precious resource. However, this led to the issue of having to chase down new deposits when one dried out, which increasingly ran the risk of overextending the operational range of both the L1-EVA Suit and the rover. This left ANSA having to launch new habitation bases, or ‘cabins’, to allow for increasingly longer expeditions which was an increasingly tedious and expensive thing to do. A temporary fix had been found in 2079, which involved strapping a drill to a modified LEM to have it serve as a mobile drill and transport, but the He-3 capacity was miserable.
Following the announcement of planned expansion of operations, ANSA saw a decently sized boost in funding, and their director, Simo Ević, intended to see the agency use it to the fullest. Project стридер had been on the drawing board since 1998, when ANSA first finished a copy of the Buran. Of course the old shuttle had received hundreds of miscellaneous updates since then, from complete reworks of the wing structure to the replacement of the engines, but it had always retained its Soviet-esc design. Nothing about the style during Project стридер, but instead of being stuck doing LEO and HEO runs, the entire fleet would be upgraded to serve as the new lunar ‘taxi’. The Star Kolica program had been in operation for far too long, and the aging equipment made it feel less like a state of the art lunar transport, and more like an Apollo CSM with two more seats. There was only one issue with Project стридер: It’s propulsion system.
Most of the Adriatic Space Corps used the MkII Fusion Engine, void the Dreadnought’s central warp engine, but they were big bulky things, and even the smaller MkI’s were still overkill for the deltawing airframe of the Mećava shuttle. An entirely new engine would have to be sourced or built in house, and one of those options would delay operations by several years, and that was in the words of President Mihaljević, “completely out of the question. If we fall any further back, it won’t just be the death of the Republic, but the death of ANSA.” With that in mind, there was only one option. It couldn’t be sourced from the Leithanians, that relationship was already strained, and the Iberians, well, the Republic hadn’t exactly called them paradise either. This left the French who had just gotten out of a messy war, or the British, and one of those options made just a little more sense.
Prime Minister Alma Eriksen sitting in a room aboard her private jet is accompanied by Minister of Defense, Matti Anderson. Watching the news over the backlash they are receiving. "They'll take any chance to criticize you." the Minister of Defense said, eyes on the TV, shoulders to the Prime Minister. "The Iberians are saying were mad that we didn't get to shed blood. After nearly 60 years of peace, are they serious?" she sighed as she turned off the TV. "Well we have better things to do then go to war. This pact could finally put us at the table with the big guys, and you never know when we could get attacked." the Minister of Defense paused before murmuring under his breath, "I don't trust the Germans anyway". The Prime Minister rolled her eyes and looked out the window. "Looks like were about to arrive why don't you go sit down, we'll discuss this later."
Roughly 30 minutes later, they had arrived to the embassy in their limousine with the flag of the Scandinavian Federation attached to the front. The Prime Minister and Minister of Defense stepped out of the car and was greeted by their American counterparts. She shook their hand, "Thank You for giving the Scandinavian people this opportunity, I look forward to discussing with you. I truly believe this pact will be beneficial for our countries" she said, waiting for a response

You all have relic worlds near you if any of you are interested, just quote this ig.
This is going to start a event chain isn't. Well might as well get to it.
Possibly.
Relic worlds why do I have a feeling this will move in tandem with what DC is looking into.
Maybe the Mandalorians come across an artifact of sorts in Mandalore space that talks of an ancient, powerful weapon and said Mandalorians go looking for it.
Because said Relic Worlds are from the same people, granted you may luck out and find one of the worlds that didn't wither away.
Actually, the closest one to you is a Gateway. Should prove interesting.

MADRID — Rita simply nodded at the sentiment, "I agree, though it's unfortunate that they have the nerve to show up here after what they've said." The Aide simply continued to look around the room, seeming to keep tabs on everything going on. Whoever they were, they seemed to be incredibly paranoid, something not unusual for the Leithanians.
Amelia stood in a rather traditional, colorful Greater Leithanian dress, albeit tailored differently to be more appropriate in Iberia. The dress still had its semi-transparent fabric that covered the shoulders and sides of the torso, however the dress had a second, opaque crimson layer of fabric underneath to keep from showing anything. Additionally, a semi-transparent veil remained over her head, partially covering the Nunitian's face.
Amelia wasn't exactly quick to answer, pausing for several moments before finally nodding in agreement to his gesture and holding her gloved right hand out.
A guard walked over and began directing the vehicles away from the front doors, specifically outside the gates of the Plaza de la Armeria, under heavy guard by the household Cuirassiers on horseback.
When George stood before the two guards, one like a dog and the other human, they took his invitation and looked it over before gesturing for him to follow them. They quickly took him to the doors of the ballroom where the herald standing outside proceeded to open the doors.
"ATTENTION! Introducing, his grace George the Duke of Kent!"
The doors then closed behind George, the lively room full of dancing, food and servants before him. At the other end of the room Emperor Radigis sat on a throne, a table in front of him with chairs for his family on either side of him.
There was many notables including the marshals, Fernando de Solaris, Francisco Serrano, and Marshal Vargas.-
"Hello.", a voice spoke, coming from a man in his late 20s, wearing a green army uniform full of ceremonial medals and others from combat and so on. The stranger extended his hand for a lil shake.
"Rodrigo, Duke of Sicily and Prince of the Astraclades.", he'd then give a smirk.
"You honour us with your presence. I suppose it's true the old nobility of Europe can mingle with the new hm?"
