At 2pm UTC on July 8, 2020, the election to choose a new delegate for TSP (the South Pacific) to replace Aumeltopia (a.k.a. Somyrion), who is at the end of his second turn. So as the election is so soon, we thought it be worth taking a look at both candidates for delegate, those two candidates being Amerion and PenguinPies. Both of these candidates have put a lot of work into their campaign, so let's take at each candidate to determine who is ultimately the better candidate to become the next delegate for the South Pacific.

Let's start with Amerion. His campaign basis carries many good ideas with it. For example, his intent to deliver a "State of the Region" address every two months, detailing the current state of TSP as well as everything that has happened in the previous two months and plans for TSP going forward. He states that this is aimed to creating a well informed community, which is something very important. He also plans to release something weekly called a "Delegate's Digest," detailing all the government's activities within the last week; again, a very good idea. However, he also refers to himself as "Supreme Leader," which is very worrying. Having a delegate who wants to be called "Supreme Leader" creates worries about just how free TSP will be if Amerion wins. In addition, he seems to, in his campaign announcement, support Auphelia, which is an incredibly worrying prospect. He also mentions nothing about diplomacy with other regions, which is also quite worrying.

On the other hand, let's look at PenguinPies. She's build her campaign on a basis of learning from others. She says that it is important to learn from others and learn from your mistakes; and that is a very powerful message and something you don't see from politicians often. She also seems to have a sense of humor, which is again, rare to hear from politicians, and shows that she's more down to earth with everyone else. She also has a pretty extensive resume, including being a current member of Leg Comm, being a current member of CRS, and being a current mentor in the AMP, as well as having been is TSP for 8 years! She's also held offices of MoFA and MoRA, was in the CSS back when that existed, and was a general in SPSF. That is a pretty extensive resume, showing that she has a lot of experience behind him.

In conclusion, taking everything into account and looking at the achievements of both candidates, we here at the Xarbraden Times have concluded that the ideal candidate for delegate is PenguinPies. With her years of experience and vast knowledge of TSP, he is truly the best fit for delegate. So remember, have a nice day, and drink SPIT (Aumeltopian SPIT® and Xarbradenian SPIT™ available in all varieties in Aumeltopia and Xarbraden, and select varieties available in foreign nations through distributors, links below).

The Northern ones are always talking into their cellular devices and angrily shouting for lox or something.

The Southerners all live on gorgeous farms and start wars they can't win.

The Midwesterners are too good at ironing.

The Westerners live in deserts and shoot each other for bounties.

Also, I enjoy how your country is so large that they had to divide the West into different parts.

"That's the North, that's the South, this is the West . . ."

"What's that to the west of it?"

"Um. This is the . . . Mid-west, that's the West . . . "

Also, why is there no East? Did you run out of East when assigning regions?

For a fun bit, we divide the western states even more. We’ve the high mountains, high desert from the Rockies to the Cascades/Sierras. Then depending on who you talk to, you’ve the Pacific Northwest which can include Idaho depending on how they’re behaving. Then you can divide those states in half because of the mountains. California itself can be divided into seven different regions all by itself. And we don’t go in for bounties anymore, we tend to shoot over water rights though.

Meat pies or sweet pies?

That is the real question here.

I mean both are acceptable depending on the mood at the time. Right now I can go for a nice meat pie.

Hey you, us, workers! Do you we need a food that will keep you us going through the 8-hour day of laboring in the state factories?

In Connecticut, a highly agricultural state, locals like to eat a food they call C.R.A.P. (Connecticuter Rash-inducing Apple Pie). The Ministry of the Environment's Bureau of Agriculture has decided to make it into a product -- a delicious, energy-giving treat! It is an apple pie infused with poison ivy, which will give you a skin rash -- it is certain to make you work harder and faster so that you can get to your breaks and remove the rash more quickly.

Just try C.R.A.P.! No cost, no gimmicks, no credit card, no dovebeaks. The best taste of South Pacific Socialism you'll we'll ever have, comrades!

Small (Snack) - 3.75 cm (1.48 in) radius

C.R.A.P. is available at Walmart, and is freely distributed by the Ministries of the Environment and Welfare.
