So, Isn't that what Neo Parkiant let them know promptly after the initial pair of posts?

Do we really want the "welcome to TSP" experience be multiple admonishments for breaking a rule they could never have possibly known about? If someone already told a new person about such things, adding the same info really isn't a positive addition, is it?

Wait what?

oh, it looks like they said something before me. I didn't even notice, I just suppressed the posts that were linked in discord and did the generic "read the rules" post. Whoops

Wait did I do something wrong?

You posted twice in a row, which is double posting and against our rules

just one of the many pitfalls of moderation :)

New folks getting multiple warnings upon making their first RMB post probably is apparently the "Welcome to TSP" experience we are goin for lately.

But I get it - doing otherwise would require everyone in the RMB, not just the RO's, reading the context, exercising judgement, and displaying a welcoming demeanor and that is certainly not what we want to see our region's RMB. Otherwise folks might get comfortable and stick around and we can't possibly allow that sort of thinking to take root.
