If you were frightened by the concept of integration, then this is your business. I do not use violent methods, I do not have slavery, nor segregation. Moreover, there can be no complaints against me, against the background of other really shameful countries, where child labor, feudalism and slavery are officially the norm.
I'm just trying to make sure people don't separate themselves from Rhode Island society (culturally, ideologically, and the like), because when a society lives according to the principle "my home is on the edge" - then it's not a society.
