(IC: Thanks for your interest, but sincerely does it a question in which we have no definitive answer. More to the point, despite the high level of Black Market it has been falling down for many years and its near its minimum value. Even brief moments of returns to a market economy has not produced spikes of increased or dips of the Black Market activity.

And we have few prohibitions to commerce, the most recent ones, are of alcohol (1) or tobacco but the are hardly any noteworthy increased in Black Market activity, so we are at even more at lost considering that the stats for integrity and compliance of the population are sky high. Perhaps are the difficulties of managing such a colossal economy for tens of thousands of millions of citizens.

Hraban wrote:What's more serene than the smell of burning heretics and traitors in the morning?

Alternatively we could force them to commit suicide by sword. After all we follow 7 blood oaths. Meaning if you break even one of those oaths you have to pay for it in blood, meaning you die

(2)

Ah and honor system, I am afraid our justice systems are more (barring some exceptions) more on the way or rehabilitation, even if we need to reprogram the criminals or doing a complete rebioengineering in our VATs. That's kind of severe honor "geas" for punishment are a alien concept to us.)

(1) (IC: The equivalent of beer for drinking / socialization it is taken by Aiganian Tea, it is biochemical and neurological tested for be the anti-beer, it is as stimulant of the nervous system as the beer is depressant, and it has an androgenic effect as strong as the estrogenic effect of Lupulus and so on.

(2) (OOC: About execution by various means including the burning of heretics, Spanish songwriter Javier Krahe recorded a satirical song about several executing methods and how he had the preference for a fire. Unfortunately no English subtitles.

Given what I said on suppressing it. This link might be innocent, but I don't want to set a potentially dangerous precedent.

Anyone else both excited and frightened about elections this year?

Elections? We had them last November. That was too exciting. I'm going back to sleep.

Let's just say that our political climate right now is more than confusing. There is more than left and right. Our leader threatened to take power away from the individual states if they don't get corona under control where both sides have both left and right among their members. There is the issue of green politics where all sides consist of a wide range of left and right wingers. How to handle covid and preventing a third wave. How to deal with the anti-covid protests. And host of other headache inducing events. You know its bad when hard core conservatives and the successor of the east german governing party (SED) actually agree on something.

I'll have the crystals. How many of those do you estimate will be needed to excommunicate a pope?

Hraban wrote:Didn't Israel get some?

Yes, but given that we are without a functioning government or legal budget for 2 full years, it was mere peanuts. I wish Biden could annex us as America's 55th state (there are others in line before us, I'm sure).

Liberty and unity wrote:Someone has to repeal the Military Death Penalty ban
It is needed to rightfully punish the scum of humanity

Hraban wrote:Is it "death penalty" if I let prisoners rot in a 2x2 meter cell and only give them 2 liters of water and a single potato as sustenance per day? Would that be in line with the World Assembly legislation?

Just leave the World Assembly. Then play on as if it doesn't exist. It has no effect whatsoever on non-member nations.

Hraban wrote:Anyone else both excited and frightened about elections this year?

Mostly bored. We've just had our 4th round of elections in 2 years and seem headed for a 5th. We need to abolish the state and establish a Monarchy, with Bibi as Emperor for Life. This seems what most of the poeple want. SMH

Scotland is holding its parliamentary elections in May and I'm excited to vote in them.

Nice, you reckon there will ever be another independence referendum?

I certainly hope so! But the UK government is determined to take the ostrich approach by sticking its head in the sand and just ignoring demands for another one.

I'm always excited to vote in an election except local elections.

At the point when you have voted in a lot of them then they are really not exciting.

Not this time you won't, as the count is taking place over several days due to Covid restrictions limiting the number of workers allowed in to count ballots.

Oh well. I think we know what the results will be anyway.

The isles of great britain and ireland wrote:Oh well. I think we know what the results will be anyway.

We actually don't as the latest opinion polls are not out yet, which is important considering a new party entered the race since the last polls were conducted, so we really have no idea what the result will be on the basis of that.

Ugh. I hope the Alba party crash and burn. Bunch of transphobes and degenerates, led by the groper-in-chief.
