General Information

The Monolithic Empire of the Necrontyr is an extremely advanced multiversal civilization.

Necrontyr are casually uploading their minds - switching from their biological bodies to nanotech machine-bodies and vice-versa.

For millions of years the empire is an intergalactic superpower. The empire is strong-term militaristic and territorial but with a relatively open-minded society.

History

Necrontyr are by all standards an old species - they are existing for hundreds of millions of years.

Torched by the abyssal ammount of radiation in the deep core of the galaxy, only the most resilient, most adaptive lifeforms can persist. The Necrontyr are native to this extremely inaccessible area of the galaxy. And they not only persisted - but thrived in this radiation hell. They are the endresult of an evolution for ever more resilience.

Around 60 million years ago the Necrontyr Empire was attacked by the so called civilization of the 'Old Ones' in the biggest war the galaxy has ever seen. The empire was close to a defeat - thus the Necrontyr as a species where endangered. But the extreme resiliance of its tactical infrastructure combined with the fanatic will of its population, allowed the empire to sustain and to survive the hardest hits of this horrific war. During the war the Necrontyr developed the technology to upload their minds into nanotech machine-bodies. This marked the beginning of a new, ascended and much more versatile Necrontyr Society. Eventually after more than 21,000 years of war the 'Old Ones' were defeated and finally eradicated by the Necrontyr Empire.

During the war the empire realized that the real threat to the universe is the warp dimension or to be more precise - an invasion of real space from the extremely hostile beings of the warp dimension. Thus the Necrontyr decided that the entire warp has to be destroyed.

Therefore, after the war the Necrontyr resettled almost its entire population and industrial capacities to the inside of an isolated space-time bubble (Necrontyr Underspace). The underspace is hidden deep inside of subspace and thus is completely isolated from warp. Only a relatively small number of Necrontyr remained in a hibernated state in real-space to protect strategic facilities. Thus some primitive races mistakenly regarded the Necrontyr as a scattered, decayed or even extinct race.

Inside of its subspace sanctuary however the Necrontyr Empire grew and prospered while secretly working on science and technologies to eliminate the entire warp.

Around that time in history the aristocratic dynasty-system was abolished and an extremely efficient centralized government was implemented. The Necrontyr Central Command (NCC) became the highest government authority of the Necrontyr Empire.

In the recent centuries - after millions of years of anti-warp research - the Necrontyr Empire reactivated its hibernated facilities in the galaxy and rebuildt these slowly decaying troops and facilities to modern standard.

Sociobiology & Culture

The entire society is tightly synchronized by the Necrontyr Civil Command to ensure the optimized conformity to run a harmonic high-output society with a strong focus on the security and defense of the empire.
Nonetheless the system is optimized to enable personal self-fullfilment and joy for every citizen. Aside from security - social life, entertainment, science and technology also have a high status in daily-life culture.

As mentioned before Necrontyr are freely and casually loading their minds on different bodies - switching between their biological bodies and nanotech machine-bodies.

Procreation is only possible while using biological bodies.

Defense Forces

Nowadays the monolithic Necrontyr Defense Forces are extremely advanced and have an exceedingly massive amount of infantry divisions, combat drone divisions, warships, automated combat stations, strategic weapon systems, defense facilities, infiltration/combat nanobots and back-up facilities.

Further the Necrontyr implemented a high potential state-owned military-industrial complex with automated high output weapon and shipbuilding facilities. Additionally the empire maintains a super massive tactical infrastructure with multi-layered in-depth defenses, extensive interstellar mine fields as well as millions of anti-warp combat facilities and hidden sensor/intelligence facilities. This ensures a high level of repairable redundancy and resilience against almost all kinds of threats.

To maintain its superiority over most other interstellar races the empire maintains massive scientific and technological research divisions.

Geography

As mentioned before the main territory of the Necrontyr Empire is the isolated Necrontyr Underspace hidden deep inside subspace (99.9997% of the population). The underspace is a basically a tiny isolated universe shrouded by a space-time tensor bubble and thus is completely isolated from the warp and extremely inaccessible from real-space. Thus the Necrontyr are among the most isolated and protected species existing.

Inside the Necrontyr Underspace the Necrontyr are living on space-based spherical superstructures with the size of a planet - each with a population of trillions.

Additionally the empire is controlling more than two million star systems in real space as well as some territories inside of a variety of space anomalies.

Government

The highest government authority is the Necrontyr Central Command (NCC) that holds thight but benevolent control over the Necrontyr Empire. The democratically legitimated NCC serves as the collective head of state of the empire.

The administration takes deep care of all citizens - as long as they live strictly and pro-actively within the relatively broad line of behaviour the government defines.

The administration is supervised by the ever vigilant Command Core A.I.'s of the Necrontyr Security Division.

Capital City

The capital 'city' (Command Sphere) of the Necrontyr Empire is the Targon Vatra Unicomplex located deep inside of the Necrontyr Underspace. It is an extremely protected super-maximum security 'superstructure' with a population of 2.95 trillion.

Language

The mono-dominant language of the Necrontyr Empire is Imperial Basic. It is a set of two highly optimized artificially created languages (Basic I/II).

• Basic I is the verbal (spoken) language of the empire.

• Basic II is the binary (mathematical) language of the empire, used by imperial Nanobots as well as AI and information systems.

Diplomacy

The Necrontyr Empire is territorial and isolationist in terms of diplomatic contacts. Nevertheless the empire is member of the multiversal SICON-Alliance.
