The Kingdom of Maclare is a titanic, efficient nation, renowned for its ubiquitous missile silos, punitive income tax rates, and stringent health and safety legislation. The compassionate, hard-working, devout population of 13.866 billion Maclareans have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.

The medium-sized, corrupt government juggles the competing demands of Law & Order, Education, and Administration. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 63.0%.

The frighteningly efficient Maclarean economy, worth a remarkable 1,864 trillion pounds a year, is broadly diversified and led by the Information Technology industry, with major contributions from Book Publishing, Tourism, and Arms Manufacturing. Average income is an impressive 134,443 pounds, but there is a significant disparity between incomes, with the richest 10% of citizens earning 389,924 per year while the poor average 36,713, a ratio of 10.6 to 1.

Death row inmates cower in fear at the phrase "one-year anniversary", they unpaved paradise and tore up a parking lot (ooh, bop bop bop), preschoolers practice disarming active shooters before naptime, and the police double as repo men. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to a well-funded police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Maclare's national animal is the dolphin, which frolics freely in the nation's sparkling oceans.

Maclare is ranked 14,105^th in the world and 496^th in The North Pacific for Most Developed, scoring 88.83 on the Human Development Index.
