The Dominion of Kyodeia is a mammoth, environmentally stunning nation, remarkable for its compulsory military service, ubiquitous missile silos, and irreverence towards religion. The hard-nosed, hard-working population of 8.09 billion Kyodeians are highly moralistic and fiercely conservative, in the sense that they tend to believe most things should be outlawed. People who have good jobs and work quietly at them are lauded; others are viewed with suspicion.

The relatively small government juggles the competing demands of Environment, Education, and Defense. The average income tax rate is 18.2%, but much higher for the wealthy.

The strong Kyodeian economy, worth 327 trillion Kyoes a year, is dominated by the Information Technology industry, with significant contributions from Gambling, Pizza Delivery, and Soda Sales. State-owned companies are common. Average income is 40,538 Kyoes, and distributed extremely evenly, with little difference between the richest and poorest citizens.

The nation excels at displacement, citizens are barcoded to keep track of their movements, a large-scale revitalization of the education system is underway, and cancer rates amongst the richest in society are inexplicably on the rise. Crime, especially youth-related, is almost non-existent, despite the fact that it is difficult to make it through a day without breaking one of the country's many laws. Kyodeia's national animal is the Bearded Dragon, which soars majestically through the nation's famously clear skies.

Kyodeia is ranked 172,449^th in the world and 3^rd in Kyodeia for Nicest Citizens, with 12 average smiles per day.
