*The Days of the Old Republic where well and Truely Over, We are establishing a new era an era of Order and Peace.

Norvew wrote:Every single time communism has been implemented, it fails to prosper. Communism is different from socialism, I will agree. I am going to simply ask this question: Why try and succeed in life if the government will hand you free healthcare, housing, and necessities without you needing to pay. Socialism takes away the need to work for something. Capitalism has its flaws, but socialism takes away motivation to try.

Socialism isn't necessarily to give free handouts to the poor, it is to redistribute capital (factories and such), otherwise called the means of production, away from the bourgeoisie to the workers turning it into a worker's cooperative so you still have to work to earn for your cooperative. Basically it allows for workplace democracy.

A cooperative requires a lot of work on the part of its members. Since members are responsible for finances, upkeep, overall production, etc, they are inclined to work a lot more. And they are humans, which means they will want to be above the rest. Humans are naturally competitive. I may be wrong, I'm not really sure how Workers' Cooperatives work and they can be different in the Pan-Pacific States, but I think they are like this.

You can have workplace democracy without redistributing. Redistributing is about the dumbest thing you can do to a private company, or nation in general. If you want money, work for it. If you want to be rich, work for it. It is not easy, but riches dont come easy. Elon Musk does not deserve to have to redistribute his entire capital to a bunch of people. He earned his money, and he should keep it. It is his.

When I leave my current position, I might create a media if no one else still has. I already have experience with one, back in my Slatos gang days.

Yes while I do agree a large sum of his capital is his, his methods of acquiring said capital I do find a bit detestable. I do not wish to redistribute his wealth personally, I wish more to properly regulate the exploitation of workers. Elon Musk as an example has already been guilty of violating worker rights as CEO of his company Tesla by blocking Union organizers. He is also supportive of many predatory mining operations of lithium in Bolivia. I just believe that with a proper justice system and a more democratic consumer and worker force that injustices like this may be combated. I still believe that a mix of incorrupt government regulation and the free market forces are still beneficial to society. I do not subscribe to violent revolutions or forced redistribution of capital

Yes that is mostly right. The fact that humans are naturally competitive is still up for debate as it may be attributed to the system of capitalism favouring competitive behaviour. I am not really a true believer in the socialist system but I believe that there are good policies on both sides of the capitalist and socialist spectrum as I think the free market, unhindered by corporate or monopolistic greed, should benefit more people than a socialist ideal society with large government sectors but I believe that the socialist stance on workplace democracy, where the workers have members, elected from their ranks, in the board of trustees in any company or business so they can have their say in how a company is run. In simpler terms, I just believe we need better worker rights, nothing too radical

My term was supposed to end on Valentine's day. So an election for a new president is definitely the best way we can do an event.

Yes, I could plant a bomb in every nation of the TIU and then star a scavenger hunt. Those who find the bomb will be safe, but those who dont will suffer the consequences. Agreed?
