I like that the shading of colors now differs more from the Ukrainian colors (with all due respect to Ukraine), because it gives Yektov's color dynamic more originality now :) In my opinion.

The Serzia-class Patrol Vessel is a class of mid-sized patrol vessels designed to replace the obsolete LinkCubral-class Patrol Vessel. First conceived in the mid-1990s, the ship was primarily designed for high-speed operations. However, it has also been regularly utilized for patrolling, fisheries protection, anti-poaching, counter-insurgency, and search-and-rescue operations within coastal areas and the exclusive economic zone. Originally, the Baumish Navy had ordered 14 units to be made, however budgetary constraints and a stronger interest in other naval projects resulted in only 9 units being produced for the navy, with another additional ship being made later in 2009.

Outside Baumes, the ships have also proved to be a favorable choice. Its rather simple design meant that the vessels would be significantly simpler and more affordable to build, procure, and maintain compared to other similar designs. Furthermore, its design could be easily modified to tailor more specific needs, with the ship having been developed into several more specific subvariants such as an autocannon variant and a missile boat variant. Other variants include a Warfburgian variant with Warfburgian radars and computers and a proposed anti-submarine warfare variant.

As of current, a total of 20 of ships have been made, of which 18 remain in active service with 5 navies. The largest operators of the Serzia-class are the Warfburgian Navy with 10 ships, the Baumish and Kaskalman Navy with 3 units respectively, and the Musani Navy and Townsider Navy operating 1 vessel each, both of whom were donated by the Baumish Navy. The ships are expected to be replaced by the LinkRevador-class in Baumes and Warfburg.

Design

Base Variant
The most widely produced variant, the base variant of the Serzia-class with a typical armament consisting of solely a single 30 mm close-in-weapon system with a dual feed mechanism that allows it to toggle between armor-piercing tracer and high explosive incendiary & fragmentation tracer projectile. A pair of 12.7 mm heavy machine guns may optionally be fitted as well if requested. It is equipped with a navigation radar and a surface search radar which can be found as standard equipment on all ships and variants in the Serzia-class.

The variant is comprised of three production blocks, the first of which being Block A which was produced between 2002-2008. Block B was made until 2018 and consisted of major upgrades to its navigation radar and a newer version of the surface search radar, allowing it to track more ships from a further range. Block C was a more minor upgrade which has been built since 2018 in response to the delays in the second batch of Baumes' Revador-class. Baumes completely phased out the variant for the Revador-class in 2022.

The variant still remains in service with Musani and Townsider navies, both of whom had been donated a used vessel by the Baumish Navy in 2022 and 2023 respectively. PZK Ehrgeiz of the Kaskalman Permian Revenue Service underwent a conversion into a cannon-equipped ship in 2020. Prior to that, it had been operated by the Baumish Navy as RBS Jarato until its subsequent decommission and sale to Kaskalma in 2019. Warfburg also continues to operate 10 units of the base variant, although it is more typically separated into its own variant due to its significant technical differences.

Warfburgian Variant
In 2007, Baumes and Warfburg reached an agreement for the Warfburgian Navy to purchase 10 units of the base variant, making it the first international order for the ship. It was to be equipped with Warfburgian-made radars and computers. However, they chose to retain the Baumish armament and weapon systems. The first ship was officially commissioned into naval service in 2009, and the orders were all completed by 2013. They underwent a block upgrade in 2019 with a refitted navigational radar. All ships continue to remain in active service with the navy.

Cannon Variant
The initial Baumish order for 10 ships consisted of a request for 5 of them to be fitted with an additional autocannon for better survivability and practicality in combat environments. In response, a 76 mm autocannon was equipped and the hull was strengthened for the variant. A stronger derivative of the surface search radar was utilized, allowing for a further detection range able to track more ships. 3 examples of this variant remains in the Baumish Navy due to delays, however, it is expected to be fully replaced by the Revador-class by 2027. 3 units remain in service with the Kaskalman Permian Revenue Service.

One of the ships built, RBS Pinazeiro, was later fitted with an air and surface search radar in 2009. The Baumish Navy had been planning on fitting the radar on all its Serzia-class ships and wanted to experiment it first. It also came with a pair of MANPADS surface-to-air missiles. However, the radar was removed later on citing high maintenance costs and its impracticality for usage in a patrol boat and it was never utilised again. It still remains as an optional system that can be fitted into the cannon variant along with MANPADS if requested.

Missile Variant
In 2001, the Baumish Navy issued a mandate for a replacement to its Costavozkan-built Project-73 Heavy Coastal Missile Boat. A derivative of the base Serzia-class design was fitted with a pair of missile launchers capable of carrying a total of 6 surface-to-surface or anti-ship missiles along with a fire control radar. In the end, the navy ended up favoring the Project-73 based Anador-class design as it was deemed a more practical and effective design. However, [ADD NAVY] later ended up buying [ADD NUMBER] of the missile variants in [ADD YEAR].

Being the largest variant available, it is more often referred to as a missile boat or a fast attack craft. It is equipped with an advanced missile launching system and MANPADS missiles while the hull is also strengthened to improve its endurance. To accommodate for its heavier weight, a more powerful engine was used along with a modern air and surface search radar capable of detecting ships and aircraft from further ranges compared to other similar ships in its class. It is also slightly more affordable to its rival, the Anador-class, by about $2 million IAD.

The latest from Nhoor: a somewhat dark shadow has been cast upon the election of the new High Priest of Duvactism.

News from Nhoor appears in the Ɵracil sɵn Nhōrɵs, 'the Oracle of Nhoor', often fondly called Nhoracle - only in written language however, as 'oracle' and 'nhoracle' are pronounced identically due to the fact that the 'nh' is silent.

Next High Priest of Duvactism will be Bendēq III

SĀRRUC, 12 May 2024 | In potentially the most chaotic election of a Duvactist High Priest ever, the Congregation of Priests of Duvactism yesterday elected Their Eminence Priest Qebɵd Urhit, the head of the Monastery of Velvet Contemplation in Culdo, to succeed the incumbent High Priestess Stwtī VII on 1 July. After their election, Qebɵd announced that they will take the name Bendēq III as High Priest.

Qebɵd can be considered to belong to the more progressive wings of Duvactism. They are known for controversial and sometimes complicated stances on Carām, the combination of action, intent, and consequences, implying that on the cosmic scale bad actions and intents may not always result in bad consequences; any action or intent can have good or bad consequences and the various paths of a soul’s cosmic journey may therefore not be known immediately after an action has taken place.

The convention was overshadowed by the exclusion of Priest U̦chwda Cemhijy, the head of the Temple of Aymhīrruc, from the election procedures, as a majority of the Priests found it inappropriate that he take part in the gathering while being under police investigation. The move lead to some protest manifestations in front of the Palace Temple, where the convention took place, which were however quickly dispersed by the police.

Duvactist Priest under police investigation

SĀRRUC, 10 May 2024 | Controversy has hit the annual gathering of Priests of Duvactism, which has convened in the capital in the last couple of days to elect the High Priest for 2024-2025 tomorrow. His Eminence Priest U̦chwda, who is the popular head of the Temple of Aymhīrruc and one of the frontrunners to succeed the incumbent High Priestess Stwtī VII, turns out to be under police investigation in relation to an international child trafficking ring.

A spokesperson of the Temple of Aymhīrruc told journalists that the case is observed with extreme concern and that they are convinced of the Priest’s innocence. Although they seems reluctant to mention it, the spokesperson did make reference to a dispute between the Temple of Aymhīrruc and the Convent of Tō that emerged in October last year about charity donations intended for a project of Aymhīrruc that ended up at Tō. Upon investigation, the Head Priestess of Tō, Her Eminence Ja̦zo, turns out to be accusing Aymhīrruc of exactly the same, but vice versa. Whether or not the police investigation is just the result of a set-up, therefore remains to be seen.

While the Congregation of Priests has not been willing to disclose any details about the investigation, nor about the question whether or not Priest U̦chwda will be able to participate in the election tomorrow, the general public has confessed itself on social media to be anxious about the integrity of the election proceedings and whether or not the next High Priest will really have the support of the other Priests. A lot of people have expressed their support for Priest U̦chwda. The day of tomorrow will certainly shed more light on this story.

Kaskalman nationals allowed to enter Nhoor again

SĀRRUC, 2 May 2024 | Citizens of Kaskalma may enter Nhoor again, the Health Ministry announced today. Health checks at the airport will however continue to be conducted until further notice.

Nhoor closed its territory for Kaskalman nationals in January after cases of poisoning with anthrax were reported in the towns of Jorgenstad and Neu Danzig. It emerged however that the infection had been intentional and was designated a terrorist attack. No new cases have been reported in recent weeks.

Some members of parliament criticised Health Minister Aruqo Te̦qhīseqh’s delay in lifting the measures against Kaskalmans, but the Minister underlined the dangers of anthrax and said that the Government’s first and foremost task is to protect its people. “Since no treaties or agreements are in place with Kaskalma, closing the borders for Kaskalmans was about the easiest and at the same time most effective measure that the Ministry could have taken”, she said.

Some Health Ministry employees recently suggested however that the Minister had been pressured by her colleague of Public Security to delay lifting the measures to avoid the Kaskalman terrorists who executed the attack from entering Nhoor.

League endorses creation of Food and Water Security Agency

INTERNATIONAL DISTRICT, 28 March 2024 | The League of TWI has adopted a resolution aiming for the creation of an international Food and Water Security Agency (FAWSA). The initial proposal of Saint Ardor del Alba for a food only agency, modified by an amendment of fellow ROS nation Takiv to include water, was seconded by a large majority of nations of the Western Isles.

“Safe access to healthy water and food is not a certainty in so many countries”, Minister Elīn Posaqh of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Food commented. “I am happy that the Western Isles community endorses this initiative and that our country will be a part of its implementation.”

FAWSA will monitor the security of food and water within the region and try to enhance cooperation and coordination between the member states of the League to ensure the quality of food and water for their populations, promote sustainable agricultural practices and support research in relevant areas, act upon potential threats and their impact on the member states, among other things.

“A watchdog like this in this field should have been created ages ago; this is a major step in the social and environmental development of the Western Isles”, the minister explained. “We are not out of the woods yet, however: setting up the agency may take some time, but our government is hoping to contribute in an active manner so that this project may take off as soon as possible.”

King of Wellsia turns into meme

SĀRRUC, 8 March 2024 | Mere hours after the unexpected appearance before The League of TWI today of King Himilco XVII of Wellsia, father of Queen Calavī Victoria and father-in-law of King Elerha Maximus, his resounding “ENOUGH”, with which he interrupted the League’s session to sack the Wellsian representative, has already turned into a meme on social media. Situations of people doing normal things, like eating with their families, grocery shopping, attending class, doing sports, etc., or videos of people pouring drinks, are suddenly interrupted by King Himilco’s voice “ENOUGH”.

“This was an odd event”, Qaza Se̦nir, host of the popular satirical talk show (Besides the News) commented. “Did you expect this on a normal Friday? I know I didn’t! A head of state, let alone a King, interrupting the session of an international body like the League like this must be a first. Can you imagine our King doing this? Or even the Prime Minister? Parliament would be too small, it would be a scand-“ – “ENOUGH”, Se̦nir was interrupted, to the hilarity of the audience.

Some members of parliament stated that the Wellsian King’s actions have made them wonder about the influence of the Wellsian royal family on the upbringing of the royal couple’s three children. “They shouldn’t be taught that this is normal in international politics”, SIQ member Arabenī Tennwqh said. “Foreign royals have married into our Royal Family since the 19th century without foreign nations getting a hold on Nhoor; I shouldn’t worry too much”, COJ member Qhavarcws Te̦qhīseqh replied.

LC parliamentarians reprimanded for low attendance rate

SĀRRUC, 28 February 2024 | His Relevancy Gōtɵrd Petras, the Chairman of Nhoor’s Parliament, has issued a formal reprimand to the fourteen members of the LC (Līberal pw Cwstana, the Liberal Party) for their low attendance rate in the last two months. Only two of them, not including their president Noranī Lɵsach-Mwr, attended all the meetings, while eight of them didn’t show up at all.

“You are representatives of the people of Nhoor and paid by the Dominion,” Petras said. “The nation may expect higher standards when it comes to taking this job seriously!”

The LC has occupied 14 seats since the last elections in 2022, the smallest number since the party’s formation in 1988, down from 37 in 2019, the party’s highest result. While there has obviously been some disappointment about this development, Petras has urged the LC not to make this the party’s common thread during this legislature.

LC president Lɵsach has promised improvement.

Riots after Council of High Judges allows Throngist Party

BORVA, 19 February 2024 | The Throngist Party of Nhoor (SCNh) is allowed to exist as a political party within Nhoor. The verdict by the Council of High Judges, Nhoor’s constitutional court, was awaited for months and sent a shockwave through the country. In light of recent international events, which culminated in the fall of the Throngist regime in Lesva itself, the original home of Throngism, many people more or less expected the Council to ban the SCNh, but they were in for a big surprise.

“So far the Throngist Party has demonstrated behaviour in line with the laws and regulations of the Dominion”, the Council explained. “There is no indication that it intends to deviate from this path, which means that there is no ground for this Council to forbid its existence.”

Less than half an hour after the Council’s verdict was broadcast on television, mass demonstrations erupted in a number of Nhoor’s larger cities, including Sārruc, Cinharda, Nhestarruc, Catɵ̦ris, and Borva, the latter being the seat of the Council of High Judges but also the city where the Throngist Party has established its headquarters. The demonstrations in Cinharda and Borva developed into riots and the police had to fire rubber bullets to restore order. 88 people were arrested in Borva alone. The Throngist Party headquarters and several shops and a Duvactist temple in the surrounding area were vandalised.

“You all see that this is not us, the violent ones”, SCNh-leader Sa̦ba Gērgerōdy commented. “The SCNh is a peaceful party that wants to cater the political needs of an unheard part of the population of this country. We are glad that the Council of High Judges recognises this; a ban on the SCNh would have been the end of Nhoor democracy as we know it.”

Prime Minister Orumha Cany condemned the violence. “The Council has spoken”, she said, “one can agree or disagree with the verdict – as citizens of Nhoor, we have the right to hold our own opinions. We do not have the right however to disrupt public order in the way that some citizens did today. Such behaviour is extremely disappointing and those who engaged in it will be brought to justice.”

So far the SCNh is an extraparliamentarian party as it has been founded only after the last elections in 2022. Opinion polls have so far given no clear indication if the SCNh could manage to enter Parliament and if so, with how many seats. The next elections are scheduled for 2026.

First Marique-Class Corvette inaugurated

SĀRRUC, 2 February 2024 | With a delay of two days due to weather, Defence Minister Colonel Pharus Parhecuch in the company of Admiral Orumha Hwrcech-W̦stws of the Sasīnti (Nhoor’s Navy) have inaugurated the new Marīc-Class Corvette MV Pradam li Churili. It is the first one of four Corvettes designed and produced by The Republic of Baumes that were ordered by the Nhoor Ministry of Defence in December 2019; while the other three are in production, their delivery date has yet to be announced.

“The Government and the Sasīnti are very pleased with this new and modern new vessel that will henceforward be part of the Fleet of the Dominion”, Minister Parhecuch said. “We thank the government and the navy of the Republic of Baumes for their partnership and look forward to future business opportunities with them.”

The purchase of the four Corvettes is part of an ongoing modernisation project of Nhoor’s armed forces. Many of Nhoor’s ships have been in service for a long time and although they are well maintained, their operational systems have been getting outdated. Some political parties have expressed some criticism on the purchase of these Corvettes for this reason, as the oldest vessels in the Marīc series were launched in 2003, making the series more than 20 years old already.

Mixed reactions on fall Throngist regime in Lesva

SĀRRUC, 28 January 2024 | Minister of Foreign Affairs Acāver Jā̦ has not been willing to give a formal opinion on the fall of the Throngist regime in Lesva on Friday, other than that the Nhoor government favours the creation and increase of liberties of human beings in the world. As the situation in Lesva is developing, with the military seemingly have taken over power and the Balniki navy having invaded the Lesvan coast, Jā̦ said that it was too early to tell if the political and civil situation in Lesva is developing in the good direction.

Throngist activity in Nhoor and in the member states of the Raedlon Organization of States (ROS) is monitored by the respective governments. Members of the Throngist Party of Nhoor SCNh held a sit-in in front of their party headquarters in Borva to protest the coup d’état that removed the Throngist regime in Lesva. The event did not lead to irregularities, although some passers-by threw eggs at the sitters-in.

The Council of High Judges, Nhoor’s constitutional court, is expected to deliver a verdict in February on the question if the SCNh should be forbidden or not.

Jā̦ also re-confirmed that Nhoor will not interfere in the civil war that broke out in Vadrana earlier this month. The government ordered the closure of the border with Vadrana earlier this week and the navy has increased patrols in the Nhoor territorial waters bordering the Vadrana ones.

Mayor of Qhōmh appointed Minister of Raedlon Affairs

SĀRRUC, 22 January 2024 | So̦na Onnwqh, until present the Mayor of Qhōmh, will join the Government as a newly created Minister of Raedlon Affairs, Prime Minister Orumha Cany announced today. Following last Friday’s expansion of the Raedlon Organization of States (ROS) and the recent outbreak of a civil war on Raedlon soil, the Government thought it necessary to give the region more attention. The Minister of Raedlon Affairs will not get its own ministry but ressort under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

While a majority of the parties in parliament hailed the move, both the liberal party LC and the pragmatist party OJ rejected the appointment of yet another minister as a waste of government money.

So̦na Onnwqh, 46, was Qhōmh’s Mayor for almost nine years and has previously worked at the Ministry of Defence; he will be replaced as Mayor of Qhōmh by City Councillor of Budget and Tourism, Zīber Vayda.

Costavozka and Takiv admitted to ROS

SĀRRUC, 19 January 2024 | The People's Republic of Costavozka and The Kingdom of Takiv have been admitted to the Raedlon Organization of States (ROS). This is one of the outcomes of the extraordinary Council of Representatives that was held today.

The delegations from Belantica, Solaryia, and Nhoor also decided on the expansion of the geographical limitation to become a full member of ROS, which is now open not only for countries on Raedlon but also for countries facing Raedlon via the Karnali Sea and the Mesder and North Mesder Seas. Articles 4 and 16 of the Treaty of Sārruc had to be amended to enable this change, but the three incumbent members were all in favour of this. Without this change, Costavozka, which is not located on Raedlon but in Argus, could still have been admitted to ROS as the treaty allows exceptions, but the delegations wanted to avoid any future doubt about the legitimacy of Costavozka’s membership.

“The government is happy to welcome Takiv and Costavozka to the organisation”, Prime Minister Orumha Cany said. “This expansion of ROS will be a boost for trade and an increase of stability in the region.”

And more stability is needed on Raedlon, after the shocking outbreak of a civil war in Nhoor’s northern neighbour Vadrana last week. While this has worried the members of ROS, the Council of Representatives has for the time being just issued a statement that the member states of the Raedlon Organization of States strongly condemn the violence in Vadrana and call upon the parties to respect the constitution and the rule of law of the Vadranan state.

Nhoor borders closed for Kaskalman nationals

SĀRRUC, 14 January 2024 | Health Minister Aruqo Te̦qhīseqh has announced that the government has closed Nhoor’s borders for Kaskalman nationals with immediate effect, following the report of anthrax cases in the towns of Jorgenstad and Neu Danzig yesterday. She added that she will urge her Solaryian and Belantican counterparts to do the same.

Nationals of other countries who have visited Kaskalma in the last two weeks will equally be refused entry to Nhoor. Nhoor citizens who have visited Kaskalma recently will be urged to have themselves tested for the disease as soon as possible and to avoid contact with other people until they received a negative test result. The medical facilities at the international airports of Sārruc and Nhestarruc will receive the necessary supplies to conduct tests and to put infected citizens in quarantine. A media campaign listing the symptoms and urging people to stay at home if they suspect being infected will be spread over the country this week.

The Minister stressed that anthrax is very contagious and far more dangerous than Sapli Fever, that spread in some countries of the Western Isles and with which a couple of Nhoor citizens got infected last summer.

Nhoor defence forces on alert as terrorist situation in Vadrana develops

SĀRRUC, 13 January 2024 | Defence Minister Col. Pharus Parhecuch has confirmed that the Dominion’s armed forces are on alert due to the armed insurrection that started in our country’s northern neighbour Vadrana yesterday. Several explosions caused destruction and dozens of mortal victims in the city of Tingrali, while the province of Arakovac is reported to be under control of anti-government militias.

Nhoor’s land border with Vadrana is only a small one, and so far there is no indication that our country is under any kind of threat, but the Minister said that precautions need to be taken. There has not been any war between nations on Raedlon recently and if it is up to the Minister, it will stay that way, he added. He didn’t want to confirm or deny whether the government and/or other governments of the Raedlon Organization of States (ROS) are considering sending support to the legitimate government of Vadrana.

Arcod Nhestarāzy, leader of the socialdemocrat party COJ, commented that this proves that Vadrana is not ready to join ROS. “While our thoughts are with the victims of the recent violence in Vadrana, it is clear that our northern neighbour’s government doesn’t have its affairs in order”, he said. “If ROS accepted Vadrana as a member, we cannot tell at this moment what exactly ROS would accept, so from my party’s point of view even entertaining the thought would be out of the question. With the freedom of movement between the member states, those militias would be able to spread anywhere within ROS; that is completely unacceptable.”

Vadrana not ready to join ROS, say members of parliament

SĀRRUC, 7 January 2024 | With the New Year’s parliamentary recess ending tomorrow, some members commented on the potential expansion of the Raedlon Organization of States (ROS), which seems to be going forward this year, with The Kingdom of Takiv and The People's Republic of Costavozka, both of which applied for membership last year, having good chances of joining the regional bloc soon. A referendum on joining ROS was also held in Nhoor’s northern neighbour The Republic of Vadrana around the New Year, with a solid amount of voters, 78%, voting in favour of Vadrana joining ROS; it is expected that the Vadranan government may issue the formal application to join ROS in the course of this month.

Takiv’s accession seems to be supported by a majority in parliament, but not everybody in Sārruc is enthusiastic about a speedy accession of Vadrana and Costavozka. The socialdemocrat party COJ, currently with 68 out of 199 seats the largest party in Nhoor’s parliament, has indicated that it will likely oppose membership of Vadrana unless that country implements some serious reforms to match its legislation and economy to ROS’s standards. The COJ is backed by the green party CRh (11 seats) and the pragmatist OJ (3) , while the liberaldemocrat SIQ (41) and centrist VM (38) have yet to take an official stance. Vadranan accession will likely have the support of the rightwing parties the liberal party LC (14) and the conservative CCJ (24).

Several parties on the left, central, and right sides of parliament are having questions about Costavozka’s levels of democracy and political and economic freedom of its citizens, and wonder if the large amount of control that the Costavozkan government has over the nation will also apply to entrepreneurs and citizens from fellow ROS member states who will likely be visiting and operating from Costavozka once that country has joined the bloc. The centrist party VM is wondering whether ROS should indeed expand the geographical limits for its membership, since it was because of Costavozka’s application that this discussion was started. So far, Costavozka’s application seems to be opposed by CRh, OJ, and CCJ, while the other parties have not taken a position yet.

Another issue is that some parties fear that a sudden doubling of the number of ROS member states will not be beneficial for the stability of the organisation. The government generally listens to the parliamentary majority; if parliament remains divided however, government will decide its policy on its own. A summit of the Council of Representatives of ROS will take place on 19 January; the days until that moment will be filled with lobbying by the current member states, Belantica, Nhoor, and Solaryia, and the applicants to convince each other of their respective opinions.

Overview

Noble Bank Plc is an Alteran owned retail and commercial bank with branches across the nation, considered as one of the traditional 'national institutions'. Originally founded in Greyhelm, Altera in 1768, the bank continued to expand during the nineteenth and twentieth centuries as it grew and merged with numerous smaller banks. It currently stands as the nation's biggest and most powerful bank after a merger with Altera Savings Bank in 1985.

Noble bank as a chain of retail 'high street' banks throughout the United Commonwealths, where most of its daily business is conducted, which is supplemented by numerous ATM machines for cash withdrawal and deposits. In June 1993, Noble Bank began its first major venture on the internet, offering a simple account overview for its customers. Since then, the site has become much more secure and expanded to offer an array of online services. As of 2015, the bank has over 13 million registered accounts in its domestic bank and over 14 million accounts in its international holdings.

Noble Bank has a regional headquarters in Greyhelm, though also has large offices; call and data centres; and complexes located in Lanercost, Port Selwyn and Knight's Bay.

History

The firm of Noble and Sons opened as a private bank in Greyhelm, in June 1768. It was founded by Sampson Noble and his two sons. Noble was a Libertarian and iron founder - who strived to create a bank that stood on solid moral foundations. The bank he established was one of the first in Greyhelm. At first, it was essentially a town bank, with a strong manufacturing and mercantile customer base.

Under the prudent eyes of successive partners, the business prospered for nearly 100 years from a single office. During this period, Greyhelm became one of the two powerhouses of the Industrial Revolution in United Commonwealths, becoming widely respected for its commercial and industrial prowess. Noble and Sons played a prominent role in financing trade and industry in the town, particularly active in the manufacturing and engineering sectors.

The association with the Taylor family ended in 1852, when Sampson Noble’s great-grandsons opted for the life of country gentlemen, in preference to banking. The firm's name was changed to 'Noble & Company'. With the requirements of new legislation imposed by the Alteran government, coupled with a need for increased capital, led Noble & Company to convert from a private bank to a joint-stock company in 1865. Its name changed once again to 'Noble Banking Company Limited'.

The move was part of a general trend in banking, and provided Noble Bank with a much broader financial base. Instead of being run by the firm’s three partners, the bank now had a board of directors. These included not only members of the Noble family, but other prominent local businessmen too.

The conversion to joint-stock status resulted in an explosion of growth. More than 200 banks were taken over, directly and indirectly, in the next 50 years. In the 1880s, Noble Bank, already a powerful force in the Altera, turned its attention to Greyhelm. In 1884, it absorbed the New Dockland Street bank of Steed, Altera, & Co. This acquisition is of particular significance because it brought about the connection with the black lion.

Although this symbol had most recently been used by Steed, Altera, & Co., its origins date back much further: the sign of the black horse was first recorded as hanging above the shop of Sebastian Longsteen, a New Dockland Street goldsmith, in 1677.

The first half of the 20th century marked a period of significant change for Noble Bank, on many different levels. It continued its domestic growth, taking over banks large and small; it began its expansion overseas; its workforce changed beyond recognition, with the employment of women in large numbers during the Alteran Financial Crisis in the 1920s; and its accounting systems, largely unchanged since the 17th century, were transformed by mechanisation.

In 1918, Noble Bank undertook what was to be its biggest takeover in its history - acquiring 'Commonwealth-Lanercost' and 'East Gael' Bank. Through the takeover, Noble Bank gained an additional 473 branches – an increase of 53%. This secured Nobles' position as one of the largest high street banks in Altera. During the Imperial War it had engaged in massive expansion, as Noble Bank become the official cashier to the Armed Forces. Its main office in Greyhelm was one of the first business that regularly stayed open 24 hours a day, allowing military officers returning to and from the Front to cash cheques, at any time of the day or night.

Mechanisation of branch accounting procedures had begun in the late 1920s, but wasn’t completed until 1962. Just one year later, Noble took its next giant step and installed its first computer in a branch. In 1972, the first Cashpoint machine was installed, in Lanercost, Alteran Republics. The early Cashpoints were very similar to today’s ATMs. All the machines were online, issued variable amounts of cash and immediately debited the amount from the customer's account.

Towards the end of the 20th Century, as usage of the internet began to grow, Noble Bank took a keen interest in exploring how it can be exploited and used for customers. In 1993, the banking group launched 'Noble eBanking' for its domestic markets - allowing customers to log in securing to access their account. However, due to data security (or the comparative lack-off in the early days of the internet), customers could only view their current balance. Over time, as the internet and browsers become more secure, the website adding more and more features for users. In 2007, Noble released the Noble Banking App for mobile devices, allowing users to securely and easily gain access to their bank accounts to view balance, make payments and arrange transfers. Since its first release, the Noble Banking App now has an estimated 3 million daily users in United Commonwealths alone.

International Locations

In 1899, Noble Bank ventured overseas for the first time., setting up shop in Roendavar. This formed the basis of what later became 'Noble Bank of the Western Isles'. Seven years on, branches over other overseas foreign banks were merged, creating the first group of overseas branches for Noble Bank.

Noble rationalised its overseas operations in 1971, by merging these international subsidiaries. The integration of the two businesses, one covering the Mesder sea and the other regions in The Western Isles, was a major undertaking - forming 'Noble Bank International'; with the following number of overseas and domestic accounts (as of 2022):

Atolla - 0.1 million accounts

Ainslie - 0.9 million accounts

Dormill and Stiura - 3.0 million accounts

Great Altera - 13.4 million accounts

Roendavar - 3.6 million accounts

The Braja-class Corvette is a series of corvettes originally designed and produced for the Baumish Navy in the late 1960s as a partial and later full replacement to the Jacaro-class corvette. Specifically, it was designed as a small and rather inexpensive offshore corvette capable of effectively combatting other corvettes and similarly-sized ships while being light and agile enough to outrun and outmaneuver larger ships. The Baumish Navy placed an initial order for 12 units, all delivered by 1978. Another 6 were later made nearing the 1979 Baumish-Kilomirean War, with improvements later known as the Braja II.

Designed to replace the aging Jacaro-class corvettes, development into the Braja-class started in the mid-1960s, coinciding with a broader plan by the communist junta to jumpstart the domestic defense industry. In contrast with the hastily and rather poorly built Jacaro-class, the development was far more cautious and the design was geared more towards reliability and survivability. The first ship was completed in 1968 and was officially commissioned in 1971. By 1978, all 12 orders had been completed, and another order for 6 units was made shortly after in response to growing tensions with Kilomire.

Following the dissolution of the junta, most of the navy's Braja-class vessels like most of its other arsenal were sold off in a desperate attempt to make quick money during a time of economic despair. Most of the corvettes ended up being sold to nations such as Esterazdravo, Warfburg, and Vacrus. A handful of ships remained in the Baumish Navy until the late 2000s when it was replaced by the Tiquara-class. However, the Braja-class still remains in service with the Esterazian, Vacrusian and Warfburgian navies. Even today, the Braja-class is regarded as a successful corvette design, owing to its capable and affordable design.

Design and description

At the time of its introduction, the Braja-class was a highly unique corvette design. Despite its classification by the navy as a "missile corvette", often it was referred to as a missile boat due to its light displacement and dimensions compared to most other corvettes. However, this meant that it would be easier to procure and operate while being nearly as effective as a regular larger corvette. Unlike most missile boats, however, it was equipped with a low-altitude short-range surface-to-air missile for self-defense. All ships are equipped with 6 medium-range anti-ship missiles as their main armament.

The Braja-class first saw service during the 1979 Baumish-Kilomirean when it was frequently used to target coastal targets and Kilomirean patrol boats. Its usage in the war was considered a success, having managed to sink targets and even shoot down two aircraft. It managed to prevent a coastal push into Baumes and help perform a blockade on Kilomirean ports, effectively ending its naval presence throughout the rest of the war. The ship was reportedly used again during the Vacrusian Civil War possibly for coastal bombardment, although it's not clear to what extent. A ship was sunk by an anti-ship missile during the war.

The design is powered by three-shaft four-stroke diesel engines providing a high fuel economy and reliability suitable for long-duration patrols and operations in coastal areas. Maintenance and operation costs and time would also be lower compared to similar ships. However, it may also reach speeds of up to 31 knots when needed. Additionally, gas turbines may be fitted as well to provide a higher power output to supplement the diesel engines for high-speed operations. Its acceleration would also be increased, enhancing agility and deployment time. However, gas turbines would become standard on the Braja II variant.

All ships are equipped with a fire control radar integrated with the ship's armament in order to effectively track and engage with surface combatants, increasing its effectiveness in combat. This is in contrast to other earlier missile boats, which lacked such radar. A surface radar capable of tracking vessels and low-flying aircraft of up to 140 kilometers away, depending on the size of the target. An X-band navigational radar can also be found, featuring an automatic radar plotting aid and 360-degree ship coverage. Later on, a proper air search radar would be equipped on the Braja II capable of detecting higher-altitude aircraft from further away.

Its primary armament is a mid-range anti-ship with an inertial navigation system coupled with a terminal active radar homing seeker capable of reaching ships and coastal targets of up to 200 kilometers away with accuracy. Additionally, it also has 20 short-range surface-to-air missiles with a range of 10 kilometers out and 5 kilometers up for defense against aircraft. Initially, it was fitted with a twin 57-millimeter caliber naval gun in the rear and front end of the ship. However, this was subsequently phased out in favor of a more powerful 76-millimeter caliber naval gun capable of being used against sea, coastal, and aerial targets.

Braja I
The Braja I variant represents the first batch of 12 units ordered and produced for the Baumish Navy. It was designed as a cross between a missile boat and a traditional corvette, featuring the agility and affordability of a missile boat and the firepower and armament of a corvette. Primarily, it was used for patrol and surveillance within territorial waters and the exclusive economic zone, often with a maximum effectiveness range of about 200-300 kilometers from land. Compared to other coastal missile boats, the Braja-class boasts a larger arsenal with more powerful and technologically advanced armament, specifically missiles.

The models featured a navigational radar, a surface search radar, and a fire control radar. Although capable of detecting and engaging with most ships effectively, the surface search radar had a particularly limited range as the radar had been "downgraded" for cheaper and simpler use. The absence of an air search radar also made it a particularly easy target for most attack or strike aircraft, which although capable of engaging with, was difficult to detect when aircraft are further away and flying high. Its twin 57-millimeter caliber gun was also fairly slow and weak against larger ships, thus it was later replaced with a larger and faster gun.

A majority of these ships were later converted into the Braja II during the late 1970s. Following the dissolution of communist junta Baumes, most of the ships were sold off as second-hand used ships. Baumes sold off 3 units to Vacrus sometime in 1985, of which all but one of which continued to remain in service (one had been destroyed during the civil war). Later, Baumes sold another 6 ships to Esterazdravo in 1987 along with the sale of several used Baumish Chapeneiro-class heavy corvettes and Gamoa-class light frigates. As of 2024, all 6 vessels remain in active service and commission with the Esterazian Navy.

Braja II
The Braja II was an improvement of the Braja I featuring improved performance. Compared to the older models, the variants were fitted with a gas turbine for incrased power output and acceleration and an improved maximum effectiveness range of about 300-500 kilometers from land. Its survivability was also improved thanks to a more accurate radar suite along with the addition of an air search radar to detect higher-flying aircraft. Furthermore, the range of the surface search radar was greatly increased. A more powerful 76-millimeter caliber gun was fitted as well, allowing for faster reloads and more effective shots.

6 ships were built to specifications of the Braja II, while most other Braja I vessels were later upgraded to this standard as well. In 1987, Baumes sold 3 of its Braja II ships to Warfburg. They were refitted with modern Warfburgian electronic and computer systems and were commissioned into service in 1989. It underwent another upgrade in 1999 which swapped out the Baumish missiles with modern Gaeltic missiles. A new radar suite was equipped in 2006 removing the surface search and air search radars and replacing them with a single air and surface search radar. Two remain in service and are expected to be retired soon.

Overview

The Verhun Defence Systems (VDS) 'Ceptor', also known as the Ceptor Modular Missile or 'JAMM' (Joint Anti-Air Modular Missile), is an Alteran family of air-to-air and surface-to-air missiles. Developed by Verhun Defence Systems for the United Commonwealths, the Ceptor family of missiles are designed to have a low-cost modular approach to their design, saving on time, money and resources on developing and fielding defence missiles.

It is designed to provide short-range and medium-range air defence for naval and land platforms, as well as airborne applications. The Ceptor missile has a solid-fuel rocket motor, a high-explosive warhead, and an active radar seeker that can receive mid-course updates from a data link. The missile can be launched vertically or at an angle, and can engage multiple targets simultaneously. Ceptor is the baseline version with a range of over 25 km and a speed of Mach 3. Ceptor-ER is an extended-range version with a larger rocket motor and a range of over 45 km.

Whilst originally developed as a surface-to-air missile, it would quickly be developed into a full suite of surface-to-air, air-to-air, surface-to-surface and air-to-surface missiles - each featuring it's own electronics and tracking systems. VDS decision to make a full suite - rather than specialised missiles, is in keeping with United Commonwealths' familiarity with modular and multi-role systems - helping to descrease the development and manufacturing costs of the weapons system significantly.

The Ceptor is a versatile family of missiles developed by Verhun Defence Systems for the United Commonwealths. Based on the Joint (Joint Anti-Air Modular Missile) concept by VDS UC, the Ceptor missiles have a common core with different configurations for different roles and environments. The Ceptor missile features a solid-fuel rocket motor, a 10 kg high-explosive warhead, and an active radar seeker that can track targets autonomously or with guidance from a data link. The missile can be launched vertically or at an angle, and can intercept multiple threats at supersonic speeds of Mach 3. Ceptor is the baseline version with a range of over 25 km and a length of 3.2 m2. Ceptor-ER is an extended-range version with a larger rocket motor and a range of over 45 km, as well as a longer length of 4.2 m.

The Ceptor family of missiles is not only capable of providing short-range and medium-range air defence for naval and land platforms, but also of engaging surface and air targets from airborne platforms. The Ceptor missiles have different electronics and tracking systems depending on their application, but they share the same modular and multi-role philosophy that characterizes the United Commonwealths’ approach to weapons development. By using a common platform with various adaptations, Verhun Defence Systems has reduced the cost and complexity of producing and maintaining the Ceptor missiles.

Design and Development

The Ceptor family consists of three variants: Ceptor, Ceptor-ER and Ceptor-MR, which differ in their range, propulsion and launch platform. They designed to provide complete protection against all known and projected air threats, including stealth aircraft, high-speed missiles, drones and helicopters. Developments in the Ceptor design also led the missile to have different variants for different applications - for maritime, aerial and land-based launch systems.

The design and development of the Ceptor family began in 2004 as part of the Local Area Air Defence Missile (LAADM) programme, jointly funded by VDS and the UC Ministry of Defence (MoD). The LAADM programme aimed to deliver a common missile platform for the air, land and maritime environments, replacing the existing missile systems. The Ceptor family also uses a soft vertical launch technology, which allows for a 360-degree coverage and a minimum launch signature.

The first variant of the Ceptor family to be developed was the Ceptor, which has a range of over 25 km and a speed of Mach 3. The Ceptor missile was selected as the core of the Sea Ceptor naval air defence system, which entered service with the United Commonwealths Navy in 2012 on the Type 30 frigates. The Sea Ceptor system can also be integrated on other naval platforms, such as the Type 55 destroyer and Type 32 frigate. The Ceptor missile was also chosen as the basis of the Land Ceptor ground-based air defence system. The Land Ceptor system can operate as a standalone unit or as part of a networked battle space.

The second variant of the Ceptor family to be developed was the Ceptor-ER, which has an extended range of over 45 km and a longer chassis. The Ceptor-ER missile was co-developed with the UC Ministry of Defence (MoD), which selected it as the main component of its future ground-based and naval air defence systems. The Ceptor-ER missile uses a dual-pulse solid rocket motor, which provides additional thrust during the terminal phase of flight. The Ceptor-ER missile also has enhanced capabilities against ballistic missiles and saturation attacks.

The third variant of the Ceptor family to be developed was the Ceptor-MR, which utilises the same electronics as the standard Ceptor and Ceptor-ER missiles - but with a modified chassis and engine for longer range attacks. As with the other Ceptor variants, the Ceptor-MR missile was co-developed with UC Ministry of Defence (MoD), which selected it as the main component of its future naval air defence system for the Type 35 class frigates. A core design component of the Ceptor-MR was its applications for land-based air defence systems. The Ceptor-MR missile uses a ramjet propulsion system, which provides high speed and manoeuvrability throughout its flight envelope. The Ceptor-MR missile also has advanced capabilities against hypersonic threats and electronic warfare.

Unfortunately, the missiles would've come out around the time the ships were being retired by the Baumish Navy. I'm very interested in this however, and it would be an excellent fit for usage in my navy's frigates as its main anti-air missile, if you are fine with that.

Of course; happy to supply them. Change of PM would allow for their release as Ryansan was ... antagonistic towards Baumes.
And apologies, I didn't look closely at the decommission dates.
