Two Week War
The 2 Week War of 1992, also referred to as the 1st Alterian War, was a significant military conflict fought between the 1st Republic of Alteria and the Tierneisan Federation. The war was primarily a struggle for independence waged by the Alterians against the Tierneisans, who were a major regional power during that time. The Alterians were seeking to loosen the central control that was exerted over them and create an independent Alterian state. However, the Tierneisans were determined to re-establish their control over Alteria. To accomplish this, the Tierneisans deployed their 4th Republican Guard, which was ordered to "establish constitutional order in Alteria and to preserve the territorial integrity of Tierneisan and Federal Territory." The war lasted for two weeks and saw intense fighting between the Alterians and the Tierneisans, with both sides suffering significant casualties. The conflict eventually ended with the defeat of the Alterians, and the Tierneisan Federation was successful in re-establishing its control over Alteria. Tiernesia's military forces faced serious allegations of misconduct during the early 1990s. In particular, there were reports that soldiers were actively impeding the evacuation of civilians from areas that were at risk of imminent danger. Additionally, some humanitarian organizations claimed that they were prevented from providing assistance to those in need by the very same soldiers. These allegations were taken very seriously by the authorities, and those found responsible for such actions were punished through court-martial proceedings and other disciplinary actions.
