Of Centralist Brexit wrote:2 of the guards that were meant to go into the minister's car were to join the initial two guards accompanying the group as the small convoy drove out of the car park and away from the airport and the city. The Journey was not a long one as they only had to drive a few miles until they arrived at an old manor house, isolated in the countryside. It did not seem to be guarded, the only things that seem to be living outside were some individual flies, though if one looked hard enough they would notice something off with them. the Sedans slowly drove across the gravel until they stopped right next to the steps leading to the entrance of the manor.

There really is nothing else to do but for them to get out of the vehicle
Guards first of course.

Port Irene, now reclaimed, is a mess. Having reclaimed it from raiders, bandits, and other vagabonds, repair and relief work is now underway. Towers broken and walls shattered at the top of the cliff face are now covered in scaffolding. Dockyards below that are already either repaired and beginning to create new ships, or being fixed. Up and down the Ramp, some Imperial soldiers lift crates and carry materials to workers, while others patrol the now secured area. At the bottom is the Beachhead, dotted with the occasional warehouse, a port of entry for awaiting ships and flyers. Groups of soldiers in purple cloaks and the standard imperial cuban cap are camped there, waiting to be shipped off to somewhere. Walking towards an open flyerpad, Sara Treant, in a neat suit covered with a bulletproof vest, prepares for the arrival of the Brethren representative, to be given a tour, and to discuss matters. She has no need of guards, for Irene is soon to return to it's fortress-like quality.

I remember when I helped you.

Matt Shepard knew this day would come. It didn't make it any easier. He turned to look at his partner, who had already turned the key and was looking at him. Can't be showing any hesitation, I suppose.

He turned the key.

A low, rumbling sound was heard across the hangar. The ground opened, and many nuclear warheads became visible. Over the next few hours, more nuclear warheads would be prepared for the interregional war expected to take place.

Shepard could not have imagined this when he was originally transferred to this station. Frankly, he couldn't imagine it even now. But he considered that it might not even matter if he would die in the fiery hellscape as well.

Charles and Alys got out of the front sedan and went up the stairs and into the manor, stopping only momentarily to say:
"please follow us inside."
they went inside and went down a small hallway to the left of a grand staircase. When Charles arrived at the end of the corridor, he opened a door to revel a large table with 6 seats.
"Please take a seat, lets get this done and dusted now."
Charles sat down at the far end of the table, with Alys sitting down to the right of him.

You have three seconds to let go before you get to experience the heat death of the universe.
