The wolfsangel was a fellow to the swastika, most symbols utilised by the NSDAP are probably considered offensive to the liberal sensibilities of the mods, so I'm hardly surprised. The swastika of course, which was incidentally a Jain symbol long before we adapted it, the wolfsangel, the sig runes, the Totenkopf, the Odal rune and the Black Sun used by Heinrich Himmler. As I'm aware, only the iron cross has received a measure of acceptance. It's the gross hypocrisy, the left receive no such treatment, the hammer and sickle for instance. And why? Because it doesn't represent something bad or some bull like that, show the hammer and sickle to someone in Eastern Europe, the countries enslaved under the iron fist of the USSR. It's a symbol of oppression, of an ideology that has torn this world apart a hundred times over, that has murdered millions. It riles me up something rotten.

The outline of valkism as taken from the game is a real ideology called "Odalism", the developers of the mod just changed the symbol from an Odal rune to a Valknut and removed the racial elements of it to make it a more interesting contrast to Nazism.

A "race-based rather than culture-based variant" already exists in the real world, it's literally just Odalism, it's about as popular as Valkism, with the very stark difference that Odalism was actually a thing.

And yes taking your ideology from a videogame IS goofy, because Adam Dressler isn't real and every other named Valkist like Hitler, Strasser and Francisco May Pech already believed in something different in real life, something they actually fought for and died for, not just a mere fantasy.

There is no valkist theory, no valkist writings or movements or any real justification for it, you would have to write it yourself, you'd have to come up with most of it yourself, at that point wouldn't it be easier to just come up with a new label for "racialist germanic socialist heathen" than lift one from an obscure Hearts of Iron IV mod? it just looks ridiculous.

You might aswell seek to implement the "Burgundian System" and try to make your ideology compatible with "Savinkovist thought", you look ridiculous and you'd alienate anyone who might agree with you, i can bet you $10 half of the mod team for Fürherreich disagrees with Valkism, and another $20 theres some communist laughing at you thanking the stars his political opponents are children that take their aesthetics from video games.

i was thinking, why can't people just accept the existence of regions like ours? and also, why did the mods delete farkasfalka? was it just for the regional flag featuring a wolfsangel? I was not in the original region, but I remember it, and it wasn't bothering anyone
