January 6 deniers are the new 9/11 truthers istg

It's in occasions like these that I'd be thankful to live in a country where the government is 'led by wisdom', implying that its policies are always for the good of the people and always correct, where Reddit is banned, where the people have very low tolerance and respect of LGBTs and being an LGBT person is actively educated as wrong, where tolerance is promoted but not openness, where teenagers who commit safe abortion would be put into prison for up to years, and where religion is ideological. Everyone's just kinda keeping their mouth shut and, luckily, the government here has yet to cross the line—my line.

Welp, I should sleep now. Good night everyone! Happy discussing.

Which country you're from?

I mean, the US is a major power, so such things would ofc get a lot of attention

and it's quite a step backwards for US standards

the big brother of Monaco?

This is that classic "if they don't outright say something they're completely innocent"

It's the same argument used against laws that perpetuate systematic racism "Show me where it says black people don't have the same rights?"

It's ok that Boris called Muslim women letter boxes because he didn't say he hated them...

Boris Johnson is a respectable man, I’m sure he had a reason to do such a thing

Yes, indeed.

He was just being a jolly joker, he's just a loveable clown so I'm sure he won't do any damage to the country or anything.

Vallony wrote:Thats a seriously dangerous statement! Are you seriously wishing death to a Supreme Court Justice!? Im sorry, but that's a moral and legal line.

Who said death? I thought guns were for making your political standpoint known? :thoughtful: Also, maybe I am advocating revolution. USAmericans should be familiar with the concept.

Vallony wrote:That is completely out of the question! If that happens, then our republic is truly dead. Think of the horrific repercussions! There wiuld be a lopsided one party state qnd their would be no checks and balances anymore! Look qt what Lincoln did! He stacked the courts. Thats plain moraly and ethically WRONG.

Ah yes of course because a heavily politicised '''court''' with a clear majority for one political direction is completely different and not at all without checks and balances. Your whole political system is just so plain wrong from its rotten core.

How does that work? If someone resides in a red state which limits this right, can this person go to a blue state to perform abortion and then come back home?

I believe Texas set up a whole snitch system to prevent people from doing "abortion tourism"

Depends. The laws have to be written and I'm sure some Red States will penalize it.

A little bit weird concept to me tbh. Like, it’s just one country, how can it be so different internally :(
