The 4-2 win capitalized a fantastic qualifying performance by the underdog Apatonians

Underdog Apatonia defeats favorites Besmenia to move to Round of 16

Apatonia's national team defeated the widely favorited Besmenians 4-2 in the Round of 32 match, seeing team captain Momodou Keita leading the resounding charge in a historic scoring appearance in the 50th World Cup by the Adulan underdogs. Meeting at Vastmanland Stadium, Tőrnu, and the referees led by Caspiaa's own Hĺkon Ekern, the Silverbacks looked to gain on a fantastic qualifying rounds performance placing them second only to Allieu, with three wins and a single loss, and a total of 15 goals for 9 points.

The game kicked off with both teams showing early attacking intent, seeking to gain an early advantage. Besmenia's defense, led by goalkeeper Anton Fengler and defenders Max Steiner and Daniel Schlag, initially held firm against Apatonia's offensive onslaught. However, it was Apatonia who drew first blood, with Makang Kambi breaking the deadlock in the 20th minute. Kambi expertly capitalized on a defensive error, slotting the ball past goalkeeper Fengler to give Apatonia the lead.

Undeterred by the setback, Besmenia rallied and managed to level the score just nine minutes later. Sebastian Meidel, exploiting a momentary lapse in Apatonia's defense, unleashed a powerful strike from outside the box that left goalkeeper Tombong Fadika with no chance of making the save. As the second half commenced, both teams upped the ante, intensifying their attacking forays in search of a decisive breakthrough. Apatonia regained the lead in the 59th minute, courtesy of a clinical finish from Momodou Keita, who capitalized on a perfectly weighted through ball from Dodou Kabbah to put his side ahead.

However, Besmenia refused to go down without a fight and launched a spirited comeback attempt. Their efforts bore fruit as they managed to restore parity once again, with Armin Haßler finding the back of the net in the 75th minute after some exquisite buildup play from Stefan Untermann and Matthias Baumschlag. With the scoreline finely poised at 2-2, both teams pushed forward in search of a late winner. However, it was Apatonia who ultimately seized the initiative, with Isa Jallow putting his side ahead in the 84th minute with a clinical finish past goalkeeper Martin Siegmann. As Besmenia pushed for an equalizer, Apatonia capitalized on the counterattack, with Ismaela Kaba putting the result beyond doubt with a well-taken goal in the dying moments of the game at the 88th minute. The final whistle blew, confirming Apatonia's hard-fought 4-2 victory over Besmenia.

"We can not have imagined a more worthy opponent to face, and we are incredibly humbled by what this victory means for our country and our team," said Keita. "We haven't gotten far before but our qualifiers and now this... we have hope."

Apatonia will face Allieu in the Round of 16, following their 2-0 victory over Wallenland.

Ryanni wins third term, dealing blow to opposition coalition
In a closely contested electoral battle, President Jaques Ryan of Elborra has been re-elected for a third term, defeating opposition party leader Geirhan Dumalle in a hotly contested race. The sweep, constituting more than 60% of the national popular vote, also diminished the opposition coalition's seats and led to gains for Ryan's leading Elborran National Congress.

Jaques Anami Ryanni, commonly known as Jaques Ryan, has served as the 24th President of Elborra since 2016, and his victory signals a continuation of his administration's policies and vision for the country. He was reelected by narrow margin in 2020, and his reelection for a third term was uncertain.

"I thank the people of Elborra for continuing to put their trust in me and my administration to do the job," Ryanni said in his celebration speech...

President Vladimir Belskorski condemned an ELN terrorist attack on the Beleroskovian embassy in Vao'okoŕ, with 12 federation soldiers and 39 civilians and diplomatic workers killed in a bombing and shooting attack by insurgents targeting the compound. 7 people, including a guard at the embassy and 4 diplomatic staffers, were kidnapped during the attack and two were later executed on tapes sent to the Beleroskovian government. The attack occurred hours after a bombing claimed the lives of over 30 people not far away.

Prime Minister Alo'abŕkradíno likewise condemned the attack, urging the rest of the international community to label the ELN as a terrorist organization and to combat any foreign funding into the group. Most of the conflict between government forces and ELN insurgents has taken place in the Northern Hoħoŕbŕ’iliop region, but recent attacks have punctured the capital city itself. Foreign Minister Aleksei Borisovich announced that more Beleroskovian troops would be sent to Wallenland to bolster the efforts of the Wallenland military to combat the terrorist insurgency.

GEORGIY AND O.R.P. TIGHTEN CONTROL IN LEGISLATIVE ELECTIONS, OPPOSITION ACCUSES RIGGING

Stasso citizens voted on Monday in the country's legislative elections for most of the largely-advisory National Assembly, a process that has stirred domestic debate about electoral inclusion and citizenship.
Turnout for the election of 82 members of the 105-seat body was 63.5%, the internal ministry said in a statement. President Afanasyev Georgiy will continue to appoint the remaining 23 members. Early results indicate that Georgiy's ruling Orthodox Revival Party has swept the referendum, nearly removing the opposition parties, United Stassos Opposition and the Democratic Union of Stasso, from power, with only 6 seats shared between them out of the total 105, solidifying control. USO and DUS have accused Georgiy of repressing the vote and rigging results.

Human Rights observers has said thousands of Stasso citizens have been excluded from voting. A spokesperson for Stassoan Rights Watch said Stasso's government arrested about 800 demonstrators and critics of the electoral law during the protests. A Stassoan source with knowledge of the matter said hundreds of people were still being held "for inciting violence and hate speech".

Mr Georgiy has been in power for two decades and was re-elected in 2020 with 83.6% of the vote. International observers said the election was quiet and peaceful but "without a real choice". He became widely known in 1997 after the conclusion of the Stasso Civil War when he emerged as a compromise candidate between communists and neo-communists on the one hand and liberal-democratic, nationalist and Orthodox forces on the other. Five times (in the elections of 2004, 2008, 2012, 2016, and 2020), Georgiy won undemocratic presidential elections; in addition, he extended and reformed his powers based on the results of the national constitutional referendums of 2005 and 2017. Following the results of the last national constitutional referendum in 2017, amendments were adopted that lifted the restrictions on the number of re-elections to the post of President of Stasso and lowered the age limit for those running for the post of president from 35 to 30 years. Georgiy heads an authoritarian regime in Stasso. His family members occupy various important government positions, such as his 35-year-old son Rustam Georgiy, who is the chairman of the country's National Assembly and the mayor of its capital city, Bohubem.

SHANADU BOMBING CLAIMS 15 LIVES, R.L.A. TAKES RESPONSIBILITY
Prime Minister Yahya Deeb Nida condemned and pledged to seek retribution for the RLA-claimed bombing at a police barricade in the western district of the capital Shanadu on Thursday. 15 people, including 12 police officers, were killed. More than 30 people were injured. Believed to have been a suicide bombing by an RLA insurgent, the attack is the latest in a string of attempts by the terrorist organization. Authorities detained two individuals in a nearby neighborhood, whom they stated had connections to the barricade bombing and may have been attempting further attacks.

Shoassauan star Beat Hochmuth walks off the field, gesturing thanks to fans following Shoassau's 2-0 loss

Tőrnu- Shoassau, a heavy hitter in the most recent World Cup matches, fell in a stunning 2-0 loss to Normark on Thursday to the disbelief of thousands of fans who flocked to the Vastmanland Stadium in Tőrnu. Beat Hochmuth, widely regarded as one of the best players in the world of football, kicked from the match in the final moments in a rage to the ineffectiveness of Shoassau's backfield defense to Normark's lighting squad. Shoassau's unmatched knockout leaves a nation of football fans stunned, as Normark moves on to play Verdusa in the Round of 16.

The match between Shoassau and Greater Normark commenced with an electric atmosphere in the stadium, as fans from both nations filled the stands, waving flags and chanting passionately in support of their teams. Shoassau, led by their captain Napoléon Touchard, started the game with a burst of energy, pressing high up the pitch and attempting to gain early control of the midfield. Greater Normark, however, demonstrated their tactical prowess from the outset, calmly circulating the ball and patiently waiting for opportunities to exploit the spaces left by the Shoassau defense. The Normarkian captain, Kristian Wollum, led by example, orchestrating his team's attacks with precision and vision.

Despite Shoassau's initial dominance in possession, it was Greater Normark who drew first blood. A swift counterattack orchestrated by Markus Larssen and Viktor Pĺlssen caught the Shoassau defense off guard, allowing Aksel Eid-Bremseth to break through and slot the ball past goalkeeper Napoléon Touchard, giving Greater Normark a crucial early lead.

Undeterred by the setback, Shoassau rallied together and launched a series of determined attacks in search of an equalizer. Bartjan Hardonk and Jean-Yves Hennequin came close to scoring on several occasions, but they were thwarted by the solid defensive line of Greater Normark, marshaled by Gustav Haagen and Kristoffer Isakssen. As the first half drew to a close, Greater Normark remained disciplined in defense, denying Shoassau any clear-cut chances to score. The halftime whistle blew, with Greater Normark holding onto their slender lead as both teams retreated to the dressing rooms to strategize for the second half.

The second half began with Shoassau coming out with renewed determination, eager to overturn the deficit and salvage a result from the match. Lucien Jacquinot replaced Napoléon Touchard in goal for Shoassau, as they sought to inject fresh impetus into their lineup. However, Greater Normark continued to assert their authority on the game, controlling possession and dictating the tempo with their slick passing and intelligent movement off the ball. Shoassau struggled to break through the organized defense of their opponents, as Johan Kuorak in goal for Greater Normark remained largely untested.

As the match progressed, fatigue began to set in for both teams, leading to a more cautious approach from both sides. Shoassau made several substitutions in an attempt to inject new energy into their attack, with players like Rudie Veneman and Moďse Raoult being introduced into the fray. Despite Shoassau's best efforts, Greater Normark remained resolute in defense, snuffing out any potential threats and launching swift counterattacks whenever the opportunity arose. In the dying moments of the match, Greater Normark put the result beyond doubt when Kristian Wollum capitalized on a defensive error from Shoassau to score a late goal, sealing a convincing victory for his team.

As the final whistle blew, Greater Normark celebrated their well-deserved win, while Shoassau was left to reflect on a valiant but ultimately unsuccessful performance. The match ended with a final score of Greater Normark 2, Shoassau 0, as Greater Normark emerged triumphant on the day.

"Semmens' Brigade Flag" banned from public display
The controversial flag has been outlawed in Jyau following public outcry

National Assembly has voted overwhelmingly to ban public displays of the Brigade flag, a symbol which holds historical roots in the independence movement of Jyau from Vitosium in the early 20th century but which in recent years has been known for its connections to atrocities committed by the so-called "Semmens Brigade" in 1917-18 against Vitosians. Calls for the flag to be banned were reignited late last month as Jyaueze fans harassed Vitosian fans while waving the flag outside a match at the World Cup qualifiers in Caspiaa. Chancellor Anton Wimmer signed the motion to ban public displays of the flag, saying "we recognize the historical significance of the flag as it relates to the wider independence movement of more than a hundred years ago, but we also recognize the hurt it caused and continues to enact."

The flag, flown by the so-called Semmens Brigade extremist nationalist insurgency, displays a white tulip against a red background. Its notariaty is its connection to the burning of several Vitosian border towns by the group along the Fir Range in 1917-18 as the otherwise peaceful independence movement in Jyau gained traction. At least 400 Vitosian nationals were killed during that period by the Semmens Brigade.

In 1917, the Vitosium appointed Governor of Jyau, Peter Semmens, announced his intention to separate from Vitosium, passionately rallying his countrymen to separate violently if need be. The governor of Nancaya followed suit days later, also stating intent to secede. While most of the Jyau population was intent on independence, the majority of the population wished for a peaceful separation. However, a small percentage of Semmens' followers were extremists, forming rebel cells that attacked Vitosium military outposts and checkpoints, sabotaged convoys and factories, and created general chaos specifically in the population centers of the country. Semmens was relieved of his governorship by Prime Minister Rudolph Raymond of Vitosium, who reprimanded him for his secessionist views.

On July 7th, 1919, the provinces of Jyau and Nancaya were granted autonomy after the referendum passed in the Parliament of Vitosium. Prime Minister Raymond signed the Hickling Act, which solidified Jyau and Nancaya's independence. Peter Semmens was elected the first Chancellor of Jyau on July 16th, 1919, although his extremist views during the course of secession made him unpopular with many politicians in the senate. His chancellorship was revoked during the second session of the senate, and he was replaced in a vote of no confidence by Winston Brisley on September 2nd, 1919.

PROTESTS ENGULF STASSO AS DEMONSTRATORS CALL FOR GEORGIY TO RESIGN
Widescale protests have erupted across Stasso as demonstrators call for new elections and for President Afanasyev Georgiy to resign. The air is thick with tension and defiance as thousands take to the streets, decrying what they perceive as blatant electoral fraud and the consolidation of authoritarian rule. The recent presidential election, purportedly won by Georgiy, has been marred by allegations of widespread irregularities and manipulation. Independent election monitors have reported instances of voter intimidation, ballot tampering, and coercion, casting doubt on the legitimacy of the electoral process.

Despite mounting evidence of electoral malpractice, President Georgiy's government has vehemently denied any wrongdoing, dismissing accusations of rigging as baseless propaganda orchestrated by political opponents and foreign adversaries. The president's supporters have rallied behind him, painting the protests as acts of subversion and treason against the state.

However, for many citizens of Stasso, the specter of authoritarianism looms large, casting a shadow of fear and uncertainty over the nation's democratic institutions. Under President Georgiy's rule, dissent has been met with repression, as government critics, journalists, and political activists face arbitrary arrests, censorship, and harassment.

The crackdown on civil liberties has drawn condemnation from human rights organizations and international observers, who have called on President Georgiy's government to respect the rule of law and uphold democratic principles. Yet, despite mounting pressure from the international community, the president remains defiant, asserting his authority with an iron grip.

In response to the growing discontent and outrage, opposition leaders have called for peaceful protests and civil disobedience, urging citizens to stand up against the erosion of their rights and freedoms. The streets of Stasso have become a battleground for democracy, as protesters wave banners, chant slogans, and demand accountability from their government.

However, the protests have not been without consequences. Riot police armed with batons and tear gas have clashed with demonstrators, leading to scenes of violence and chaos in the city center. Reports of injuries and arrests have further fueled public anger, galvanizing support for the protest movement and bolstering calls for change.

Rahari denies involvement in Shanadu bombing, but calls on R.L.A. to work with Rajihat government
Prime Minister Ahmed Rahari in a televised speech on Friday said that the Rajihat government has no involvement in Thursday's deadly suicide bombing in the Verdusan capital, but stated that the Rajihat government was prepared to work more closely with the R.L.A. (Rajihat Liberation Army) to "accomplish shared goals moving forward". Rajihat's government has directly financed the RLA in the past, but prior to Rahari's rise to power in 2016 had strayed from publicly voicing support and advocacy. Since Rahari's government took power, it has been a vocal supporter of the group which it recognizes as a legitimate political party alongside the Behinian government, but which the Verdusan and many CCA governments have labeled a terrorist group.

"The righteous cause of the Liberation Army must be brought into reasonable perspective and closeness with intentionality," Rahari said. "My government seeks to work in close cooperation to effectively achieve our shared motives, and accomplished shared goals moving forward."

It was not immediately clear if Rahari's statements were an advocation for a peaceful diplomatic approach to RLA political recognition in Verdusa, or support for further attacks against Verdusan security forces.

SERIES OF BOMBINGS ROCK SHANADU, VERDUSA PLACED ON HIGHTENED WATCH
Hours after a suicide bombing at a police barricade in a western Shanadu neighborhood killed 15 people, authorities have confirmed 6 other suicide bombings throughout the capital into Friday morning which have left at least 43 dead and hundreds injured. The RLA has claimed responsibility for all blasts, with a spokesperson for the group saying "our martyrs are engaged with the occupiers." Prime Minister Yahya Deeb Nida has authorized sweeping security measures as the attacks constitute the deadliest such incidents in nearly a decade, and Verdusa has been placed on a heightened terror watch. The coordinated attacks also come hours after the Rajihat government, while denying involvement in the blasts, voiced intention to work closely with the RLA on matters of political recognition.

Vanberson aide charged with money laundering
AASSILLIT - President Arthur Vanberson’s former right-hand man, Claude Déant, was charged with money laundering and forgery yesterday by judges investigating allegations that the president’s 2021 re-election campaign was partly financed by De Yuaneze businessman Yao Chan. Mr Déant was arrested at dawn on Friday and was quizzed for 30 hours about a €500,000 (Ł360,000) transfer into one of his accounts, discovered when his home and office were searched two years as part of the investigation into alleged campaign funding by Yao.

Judges suspect the money was a payment from Yuan but Mr Déant insists that it was the proceeds from his sale of two 17th century Candatoran and Besmenien paintings. Art experts say the paintings could not have fetched such a high price. Mr Déant’s lawyer told VFM TV that the charges did not relate to the allegations of illegal campaign funding, but to the sale of the paintings. “In the main case being investigated, my client has not been charged,” said his lawyer. Mr Déant, 70, who served as Mr Vanberson’s chief of staff and then as interior minister, was placed under formal investigation.

Georges Denaule, the justice secretary of Mr Vanberson's Labour party, expressed “amazement” that Mr Déant had been charged. He added that he was “certain” Mr Déant would eventually be cleared.

It was the third time he has been taken into custody since he quit politics after Mr Vanberson rearraigned his government in July 2023. However, it was the first time that he was questioned over the Yao allegations. He was questioned previously as part of separate corruption investigations but was not charged.

The president strongly denies receiving any money from the businessman, pointing out that he led calls for sanctions against Yuan at the height of its intervention in the North Annaskermishilles and the Brau Sea crisis. Mr Vanberson is suing the news website HiMedia, which first reported the claim that he agreed to accept a €50 million contribution from Lao to his successful 2021 re-election campaign. The website published a document allegedly giving details of the arrangement with Lao, which Mr Vanberson says is a forgery.

BREAKING: TWIN BOMBINGS ROCK KOLKESBURG, PRESIDENT SLACH ORDERS LARGER MILITARY INTERVENTION AGAINST PROTESTS

      [KOLKESBURG • 12 APRIL 2024]

(SBN) - Kolkesburg suffered one of the worst terrorist attacks in its modern history earlier today, at around 11 in the morning. At least forty civilians were killed following two bombings that shook the city to its core, one at a busy metro station and another near the city's police headquarters.

Details are still emerging even hours later, however a majority of civilians were killed at the metro station, as it was extremely busy, packed with hundreds of civilians. A number of police officers were also killed at the police headquarters, with CCTV footage showing the explosion originating from a vehicle parked right outside the station.

Saterocian government statements put the current death toll at around 40, with dozens reportedly injured. Dozens of ambulances were dispatched to the scene just minutes after the news of an explosion reached the Saterocian government. At the metro station, scenes of destruction and devastation could be seen, with damage having been done to the station's infrastructure.

All scheduled transportation in the city was temporarily shut down, with the city's government declaring a state of emergency. The Saterocian government also urged civilians to stay indoors and avoid areas with large crowds as the risk of another bombing is extremely high. The Saroqi Republican Forces immediately claimed responsibility for the attack in a video, and in response, President Slach claimed that those involved in the attacks would face 'serious consequences' in the coming days.

President Slach also announced an immediate expansion of the ongoing intervention in Saroq and Cascutia, with tens of thousands of soldiers being ordered into both regions to crack down on the protests. The arrival of these forces is expected to occur in the coming hours, in a rapid effort to reinforce the police officers that were sent this Wednesday.

However, most notably, and to the fear of many Saroqis, leader of the Brotherhood of Kolkesburg Naum Pavlavain stated that he was chosen by the Saterocian government to lead both his forces and forces of the Saterocian government into Elmonton. Pavlavain promised a "brutal crackdown" on the Saroqi population in retaliation for the bombings that took place today.

The Brotherhood of Kolkesburg is notorious for their numerous war crimes against Cascutians, with some human rights groups even labeling their actions during the Cascutia War in the 2000s as a genocide and ethnic cleansing campaign against ethnic Qaqars. During the 2014 invasion of Saroq, the Brotherhood reportedly rounded up many civilians just to kill them, with the infamous Urain Massacre having been committed by Brotherhood Forces, that left nearly a hundred civilians dead in just one day.

However, many have also called out Pavlavain's hypocrisy, because, even though he seemed angry at the bombings that took place, the Brotherhood was behind many bombings that took place during the 1990s and early 2000s, against peace negotiations that were occuring between the Puoc regime and the wider world, aimed at dismantling Sateroc's nuclear arsenal.

Tanks and helicopters were seen and recorded by civilians in rural Sateroc seemingly en route to Saroq. However, Saroqi opposition and protest groups have stated that they will continue to resist against Saterocian authorities, even with the arrival of a greater force.

As new information comes out about the attacks in Kolkesburg, and the Kolkesburg Brotherhood situation continues to develop, SBN will make sure to continue to update its readers on the situation as more information reaches our outlets.

BREAKING: Twin Bombings Rock Kolkesburg, President Slach Orders Larger Military Intervention Against Protests

By Kous Urum, written 12 April, 2024

The bombings killed over 60 so far, with dozens still injured as Slach vows revenge

( S B N ) - Kolkesburg suffered one of the worst terrorist attacks in its modern history earlier today, at around 11 in the morning.

Saterocian government statements put the current death toll at around 60, with dozens reportedly injured.

DEVELOPING: NIGHT OF DEMONSTRATION BECOMES NIGHT OF MASSACRE AS MILITARY UNLEASHES FULL FORCE ONTO PROTESTORS

      [KOLKESBURG • 13 APRIL 2024]

(SBN) - At least hundreds were killed in Elmonton overnight following what many described to be scenes of massacre on the streets of the city, as the Saterocian military unleashed their full might onto the unarmed protestors. Not only was the Saterocian military present, but so was the ruthless Brotherhood of Kolkesburg, which took place in what could rightfully be described as a massacre in Elmonton.

Throughout the day, following Slach's expansion of the military intervention against protestors, large-scale demonstrations had broken out against the intervention. According to eyewitnesses in Elmonton and other parts of Saroq, the deployment of military personnel to urban population centers within Saroq happened rather quickly, as within just hours of Slach's orders, tens of thousands of soldiers, alongside armored vehicles and even aircraft, had arrived.

Overnight, despite protestors being violent against them, soldiers were ordered to hold back and not cause harm to any demonstrators. However, suddenly, orders seemingly changed, with soldiers firing upon protestors who had been harassing them with live rounds. Apparently, this didn't discourage protestors, as they became even more violent as they were fired upon by soldiers. The bombings in Kolkesburg, which killed dozens, forced the deployment of these soldiers, as President Slach, and commander of the Brotherhood of Kolkesburg, vowed a harsh response to the devastating attacks.

As protesters turned to more violence against soldiers, military forces resorted to using more brutal methods against the demonstrators. Military vehicles, which had been positioned around the city to prevent protestors from maneuvering through the city, were brought out to deal with the protestors. Cellphone videos showed tanks and other armored vehicles crushing cars and nearly running into protestors, who had been rioting and attempting to destroy these vehicles.

While this was happening, text messages leaked by anonymous Saroqi Republican Army hackers between Brotherhood of Kolkesburg commanders can show higher-ranking commanders giving orders to lower ranking commanders to prevent protestors from gaining the upper hand "at all costs".

Tanks reportedly started to fire at protestors, killing up to dozens at a time as tank shells struck crowds of protestors. Ambulances, which had arrived to assist the injured and dead, were deliberately targeted by tanks, seemingly in order to prevent demonstrators from getting the help they needed. Saterocian soldiers also continued to fire on protestors using live ammunition, sometimes arresting, rounding up, and executing up to dozens of protestors at a time.

Around this time, rumors circulated that the Saroqi Republican Forces had joined in the protests, according to several social media posts. In response to these rumors, the Saterocian military deployed aircraft, with footage confirming the use of military jets and attack helicopters against civilian protestors. Attack helicopters gunned down large crowds of civilians, while jets dropped bombs on ambulances assisting protestors. Jets were also seen dropping bombs on hospitals, where large crowds of people were gathered to seek treatment.

As protesters began to be dispersed, soldiers raided civilians' houses, with footage showing multiple cases where soldiers had stormed random houses to occupy them and arrest the occupants. In the streets, protesters who weren't able to flee properly were forced to take cover as attack helicopters continued to gun down large crowds. A number of tanks had also been able to take back control of multiple streets after firing on protesters.

A video in particular showed a crowd of people ducking as a row of bullets could be seen coming from the sky. In the distance, protesters could also be seen attacking a tank as it fired at them in an attempt to keep them away.

"It was as if they were at war with us," one surviver claimed, "We were unarmed, but they unleashed everything on us. Even when I got back home to hide from the military, I still heard constant gunfire and screaming. I had to take in multiple survivors."

Although the afternoon began with more peaceful demonstrations, as the night neared, protests became more and more violent, due to the fact that police forces responded harshly, using tear gas, rubber bullets, and water hoses to disperse protestors. Saterocian soldiers and vehicles had reportedly been deployed around the area, ready to intervene to keep things under control. Of course, they would end up intervening, however in the most brutal way possible.

Estimates claim that hundreds, maybe even up to a thousand civilians could've been killed in last night's events, with thousands reported seriously injured. As local hospitals have been flooded with wounded civilians, some civilian centers have been turned into makeshift hospitals, with tents having been set up by volunteers helping injured protestors.

Infrastructure across the city was also seriously damaged as a result of constant firing and attacks by the military. Footage from the Elmonton International Airport shows military aircraft dropping ammunitions on parts of the runway, where a large congregation of demonstrators had arrived, forcing the airport to shut down. Military vehicles were later seen occupying the runway as protestors fled.

In Cascutia, where protests had remained largely peaceful, civilians held a large, yet peaceful march in solidarity with the victims of the massacre that unfolded. Qaqarsville and the rest of Cascutia had seen a weaker military deployment, resulting in more peaceful protests.

In Kolkesburg, many have gone out to protests against the military's actions in Saroq, calling on President Slach to bring the commanders behind the massacre to justice. However, the government has yet to say anything, other than President Slach condemning "the violence" on social media, however as to what specifically he was condemning is unknown.

In contrary to Kolkesburg's silence, Pavlavain and his forces have been very public about the massacre, with Pavlavain stating that the events that took place was a "great victory" for the Saterocian nation, despite the hundreds that had been killed. Soldiers even boasted about what they had committed, with some claiming that they had brought the "Saroqi roaches" to justice.

With the fallout of the massacre only just beginning, it is expected that the Saterocian government, despite their level of involvement, will face both internal and external consequences. Saroqi activists on social media have called for the international community to condemn and sanction Sateroc for the events that took place last night.
