There is more than enough drama in today's recent history to be making stuff up.

Don't know if anybody's into comic books here, but go check out www.rippaverse.com

Libertarian commentator/Huge comic book fan Eric July started his own comics company to compete with the woke crap Marvel and DC are putting out. Preorders for the first comic started on Monday, 7/11/22, and they did over $1 million in sales in a single day - their initial goal was $100K within 75 days.

The first comic, Isom #1, sounds interesting and has some nice artwork (done by industry vets Cliff Richards and Gabe Eltaeb). There's a trailer video on the website giving a short synopsis.

Check it out and support a fellow liberty-loving American!

EDIT: They just hit $3 million!

I feel the need to point out that employment in this game makes no sense. Employment can go down due to issues that shouldn’t have anything to do with it, or when you decide to do projects that logically should create jobs. It’s especially egregious when you lose jobs after picking an option that explicitly promised to create them.

This game is structured around a liberal fantasy that has zero basis in the real world.

The lady basketball player, Brittney Griner is sitting in a Russian jail, convicted of bringing narcotics in the form of cannabis vape oil through customs. Griner is an outspoken critic of the US. She is noted for kneeling during the national anthem. her Black Lives Matter activism, anti police attitudes. She used her status to preach her views at every opportunity. Now she and her family and friends are demanding that Biden and the US State department fetch her out of that Russian jail.

Others are of the opinion that Griner made her bed so she can lie in it. With her outspoken anti US attitudes, a large number of people are saying she should be allowed to work out her own problems without the assistance of the government she so detests.

What do you think? New poll is up.

Recently, my nation was temporarily reclassified from capitalist to socialist (when I responded to an issue by nationalizing "infrastructure"). Immediately, in a vacuum with no other stats radically altered, my employment rate went from the bottom 10% of NS to the top 10%. When I reverted the classification back to capitalist from socialist (by responding to an issue written for socialist nations with a generic "allow some free enterprise" option), employment was reset to its previous low.

Make of that what you will.

I'm sure all of you are aware there was shooting in an Indiana Mall a week ago yesterday. This morning MsNBC had a group of talking heads lamenting the fact the man was carrying a gun under Indiana's Constitutional Carry law. One of the talking heads wanted that hero arrested for having his gun in a no guns zone.

For the love of [insert deity of choice here], people. I honestly think they would prefer the 20-30 body count to this man stopping the attack in the first 15 seconds.

First things first, Russia's criminalization of drug use violates human rights, and thus their drug "law" enforcement is a crime itself.

That being said, Griner is an idiot - most non-First World countries have strict laws on drug use and possession, and trying to waltz through customs with contraband is generally a stupid idea. While the Russians are firmly in the wrong, Griner should've known better - Especially with the Russian invasion of Ukraine either having already started, or looking extremely likely when she traveled to Russia. Her own irresponsibility landed her in this situation.

The US government is supposed to (take as much time to laugh here as necessary) protect the citizens of the US, regardless of their political opinions. The government should do whatever diplomatic processes for Griner it would normally do for any other US citizen. No special treatment.

Historically, Socialist countries have high or near-universal employment, because they force citizens to work.

I was reading a story about George Soros defending the soft on crime district attorneys he's backed and placed in office around the nation. He has no intention of slowing or stopping his efforts to install "reform minded" prosecutors where ever he can around the nation. Soros does not believe his soft on crime prosecutors are at fault for skyrocketing crime rates in cities where his "reform minded" DA's are in office.

Soros wrote an Op Ed for the Wall Street Journal in which he wrote, "The research I’ve seen says otherwise. The most rigorous academic study, analyzing data across 35 jurisdictions, shows no connection between the election of reform-minded prosecutors and local crime rates."

On the other hand, the residents of those cities are not the least bit happy with the growing crime in their cities. Last June, the people of San Francisco recalled and sent Soros backed District Attorney Chesa Boudin packing. Other Soros backed DA's are feeling similar pressure from discontented residents and business owners as well.

So, what do you think? Is Soros some kind of hero or a major zero? New poll is up.

I can understand the Biden administration wanting to spike the ball in the endzone after killing terrorist al-Zawahri. If any administration could use a win, it's this one.

But even in that win, someone broke one of the commandments from the Department of Dirty Tricks: Thou shalt not reveal the secrets of your success nor the details of your failures lest thy enemies learn from them leading to mighty bouts of vexation during future operations.

Is there anything this clown and his crew cannot screw up?

FBI training material recently escaped into the wild. That training material says that people displaying the Gadsden Flag (Don't tread on me), The Original US Flag (Betsy Ross flag), the Gonzales Flag (Come and take it), and other symbols from US History may be a terrorist.[1]

This training material made it to capitol hill where Sen. Ted Cruz (Hero-TX) grilled FBI Director Christopher Wray on the matter.[2] At one point, Cruz asked Director Wray, "What are you doing?"

My thoughts ran parallel with Greg Gutfeld who wondered why there were no images from Antifa or BLM in that collection of images.

J. Edgar would be spinning in his grave if he was alive to see what his FBI is doing today.

Soros is a giant POS, but not necessarily for supporting "reform-minded" DAs. Of course, that all depends on what they mean by "reform."

"Tough-on-crime" conservatives seem to forget that the default legal standard of the American justice system is supposed to be "The government is f*cking lying and falsely accusing this person of a crime."

In all fairness, the FBI likely has similar materials that cover the left-wing "domestic extremists" - they just weren't leaked.

F*ck J. Edgar Hoover. That asshole was the very definition of "Deep State." Were he alive today, He'd be too busy furiously masturbating at the thought of the FBI's post-9/11 surveillance powers and tech to care about their kid-glove treatment of Antifa.

ROFL...

I'll give you one thing, you never fail to amuse.

Ancapadonia and Astaena-caenera

Let's take a look at recent history...

Hillary released highly classified email into the wild through the illegal use of a private and unsecured email server in flagrant violation of 18 USC 793-Gathering, transmitting or losing defense information, not to mention a half dozen record keeping requirements. Once it became clear someone was going to subpoena that server, she had it professionally wiped, a clear violation of civil and criminal law.

Hillary and the DNC created a fake dossier. They used government connections to give that fake dossier to the FBI. The FBI figures out that it is fake almost immediately. But the FBI still leaks it out into the wild as real. There were FBI agents and Justice Department attorneys conversing in text messages about interfering in the 2016 presidential election. Two of those people talked about an "insurance policy."

Hunter Biden's laptop detailed verifiable corruption of the US VIce President's office with Hunter acting as bag man. We are talking under the table deals with Russia, The Ukraine, and China. Let us not overlook the photographic and textual evidence of interstate transportation of illegal drugs and conspiracy to transport those drugs. Then there is one of IRS's all time favorites: Income without a clear source.

Were there any FBI raids in the wake of any of that? No.

Whose home just got raided? President Trump's home.

Who have the FBI been targeting? People who worked for President Trump.

If you don't think there are two sets of standards for prosecution in the United States, you are not paying attention.

Astaena-caenera

The Deep State takes care of its own.

Trump ain't a part of the club - but that doesn't make him the good guy, either.

The Deep State would love to take Trump off the board for 2024, and they currently hold the legal power to make that happen.

I'm trying to become a Free Market Paradise, one of the rarest classifications in this game, but it's hard to raise political freedoms while lowering civil rights.

No president will ever be a "good guy" - they're the head of what has become the world's most powerful criminal racketeering organization. It's exactly like asking "Who's the best mob boss?"
